Well it has been a long time hasn't it. So here is what happened, I wasn't planning on continuing this story but I talked to a few people and they convinced me to continue. That is my only excuse, otherwise I have just been really lazy. I hope to get the next part of this up, fairly soon but I thought ya'll deserved to have a chapter. Please Read and Review!

I wake up in the morning to a light tap on my door. The door opens revealing Clove, she says, "Cato the mentors want to talk about today." I nod and she closes the door. I get out of bed and quickly get ready for the day of training.

I sit down at the table and Brutus immediately starts talking, "Okay so today all of the tributes are training with their mentors." Clove and I nod, "So we were thinking, because there are 3 of us and 2 of you guys, that we will each just take two hours with each of you and then switch." Clove and I just nod again.

Lyme then says, "So Clove you will be training with Enobaria first, then me, and lastly Brutus."

Enobaria then tells me my order of mentors, "Cato, you will train with Lyme first, then with Brutus, and lastly with me." I shoot Lyme a look, she looks back at me raising her eyebrow as if waiting for me to question the order, I keep my mouth shut.

"Do you have any questions?" Lyme says, taunting me.

"No, I don't think we do?" I say glaring at her.

Lyme just smiles at me and says, "Okay, well lets head down."

We all walk on to the elevator and head to the training center. Enobaria and Clove head off and Brutus goes over to the buffet. Lyme and I are left alone. We walk into the training center and she simply says, "Let's start off by you showing me what you can do." she motions to the swords. I walk over to the swords and grab the one that I usually use. I swing it around a couple of times, letting it situate in my hand.

"We don't have all day Cato." Lyme says irritably. I give her a dark smirk. I walk over to the dummies. I take my stance, keeping my eye on the dummy even though I can feel Lyme's stare on my back.

I start with a blow to the arms, slicing it off at the elbow. Then, I cut off one of its legs, and as it teeters on the other leg, I hit it over the head making a deep cut. It falls to the ground. For the final blow I stab it in the heart. I step back and smile at my work. I look to Lyme to see if she is impressed but she is just standing there.

"So, how was that?" I ask her waiting for the advice to flow.

She shrugs and say, "Now, go do the obstacle course."

"The obstacle course? Aren't you going to give me advice or something, to help me get better? That is what this training section is supposed to be! You are supposed to help me, not just tell me what to do and watch me."

She raises her eyebrow and says, "Don't sass me, okay? Now go do what I said." I give her a death glare but I comply.

I walk over to the obstacle course and turn to Lyme, "You just want me to the obstacle course?"

"Yes! That is what I said, can't you hear!" She yells at me.

"Bitch." I grumble, but just loud enough so she could hear. I hear her scoff but she doesn't say anything.

The obstacle course is simple. First you have to jump across some moving platforms, go across some monkey bars, dodge some large swinging objects, run threw a deep pit of large foam cubes, climb up and down some net, and then climb up a large rope and ring a bell. All while being timed.

1, 2, 3 Go!

I run across the platforms, jumping from one to the next. Suddenly a large platform shoots up above my head. I grab the top and lift myself up. Standing on top, I jump down and land right in front of the monkey bars. I smile at my success as I start at the monkey bars. I jump as to the farthest bar I can and start to make my way across. I start to get into the rhythm, swinging my legs I quicken my speed. As I near the last few bars I look ahead at the large pendulums ahead, working out how to make it through them. I jump down right in front to the five pendulums. I watch the first on swing past me and I run, stopping before the next. I do the same for the next four. I jump right into the deep pit of large foam cubes. Pushing them aside I stumble my way through. I make it to the other side and climb out, quickly running to the net. I climb up it and climb down half way before I feel it is safe to just jump. I run to the rope and start to climb. My feet swing freely below me as I lift myself up one hand at a time. I get to the top and ring the bell.

3 minutes 12 seconds, a new record.

I slide down the rope and turn to Lyme who has already made her way towards me, "So what do you think?" I ask while trying to still catch my breath.

"I think you are an arrogant fool." She fires at me, "Plus you are very slow."

"Slow? That was my best time yet!"

She laughs, "Figures."

"What are you saying you could do better?" I scoff.

"Yes much better."

"Oh please do show me!" my words drowning in sarcasm.

She smiles and makes her way to the start of the course. I cross my arms and watch her.

1, 2, 3 Go!

She starts off across the platforms, gracefully making her way across. The large platform shoots up and instead of going on top she runs around. Making her way to the monkey bars. She grabs onto the first one and swings herself on top. She then runs across the top of the monkey bars before jumping down. She watches as the pendulums swing, concentrating hard. She backs up slightly before sprinting across, making it past all five. The sprint gave her enough speed to take a running leap into the pit. Making it about halfway, it doesn't take her long to get out. She gets to the net and wiggles her way through on of the openings making it to the other side.

"Hey! That's cheating!" I bark at her.

"There is no such thing as cheating in the Hunger Games, Cato." She smirks.

She gets to the rope and grabs on wrapping her leg around the rope. She quickly makes her way up and rings the bell.

1 minutes and 33 seconds. My jaw drops.

She gets down from the rope and smiles at me, "It's child's play really."

"How on earth did you manage to get that time?" I marvel.

Her face gets serious as she tells me, "You focus too much on your strength. You tire yourself out trying to impress people. The games could go on for a few days, so you need to save every ounce of strength you have. You think of this course as individual obstacles, you have to look at it like a whole. You have to think outside of the box, be creative! I know that it will be very hard for you but you have to use your brain." She smiles, "But don't strain yourself."

The rest of the time Lyme gives me pointers here and there, telling me all she knows on how to win. When the door to the training center opens and Brutus walks in, he says, "Cato, take a 5 minute break, then I will start training with you." I nod and make my way out the door to get some water.

I sit down at one of the tables and sip on my water as I ponder what Lyme had told me. I hear quiet footsteps behind me, so I turn to see who it is, but all I catch is the glimpse of a braid. I let a smile creep onto my face; however, before I can go after her Brutus call me in to start training, with a sigh I walk back in the training center.

I walk in and Brutus is sitting down in a chair in the middle of the room.

"So what will I be doing with you?" I ask, still tired from my training with Lyme.

"Well Lyme worked you pretty hard so come take a seat, I want to talk to you a little." He says as he kicks a chair that is sitting in front of him. I smile as I walk over to sit down. This is why I Brutus is my favorite mentor. He has always been there for me, through everything and he understands me better than anyone.

He leans forward resting his arms on his knees, studying me. I lean back in my chair making myself comfortable. "Who were you thinking about having as allies?' Brutus starts off the conversation.

"Clove, obviously, Glimmer, and Marvel. Are the main ones, however we made that deal with Finnick, so also District 4. But you already knew this so why ask?"

Brutus ignores my questions, "What do they all have in common?"

"They all come from classic Career Districts." I say not understanding where he is going with this.

"Does that mean they are the best?" I just shake my head still not catching on to what he is meaning, "These games are going to be different, and all the mentors know it. We are also sure that after these games nothing will ever be the same. You have a good group of people as your allies right now but if I'm going to be completely honest with you; you will not win with them."

I sit up straight, now even more confused than I was before, "What are you saying?"

"I'm talking about District 12." I feel my breath get stuck in my throat but he continues, "What are their specialties, I know that you know them."

"Well the boy, Peeta, is strong. He could probably match me in a fight but he lacks training. I can tell that he hasn't used any weapons before but he is a fast learner."

"And the girl?" Brutus knows that I know more about her than Peeta but I can't tell him too much.

"Katniss is headstrong. She won't ally with us. She won't even ally with Peeta. She knows how to survive in the woods, she has her whole life. She knows everything about plants and traps. She could survive the games without any supplies or weapons."

Brutus catches that I am holding back some information, "If she did have a weapon what would it be?"

I sigh knowing that I have to tell him now, "A bow and arrow."

Brutus leans back in his chair, "How good is she with it?"

"The best I have ever seen. She can hit a bulls eye in the dark. If she gets her hand on one, we are all dead, there will be no games."

Brutus lets out a sigh. Rubbing his hands on his face he asks, "And you are sure that she will not ally with us?"

"Yeah I am sure, the only person she may ally with is Rue, the little girl from 11."

"Keep the little girl alive." I give him a look of confusion, "Keep her alive so that Katniss has something to fight for. I know that you and Katniss have something going on. And I know you better than you think, I know you will try to help her win. So here is my advice; ally with Peeta."

It takes me a minute to comprehend what he just told me. He knows? I let out a sigh and ask one more question letting my eyes trail down to my hands, "Why Peeta?"

"The only person that knows her like you do is him. He will be an asset for finding her. So you can keep her safe." I nod still in a daze of everything he has said, "Oh and two more thing before we start training; one, don't tell this to anyone else this is our secret, and two, if it comes down to you, Peeta, and her don't make her choose. I have talked to Haymitch and he said that under pressure she acts out of instinct. Just be careful." He pats my knee and stands up.

For the rest of my time we work with the sword and he gives me a few pointers but my mind is still on everything that he had just told me. I think back to what Lyme told me about having to be creative. I know now that in these games, creativity is going to be the only way to success.

After my training with Brutus I get another 5 minute break before I start with Enobaria. I use the time to get a drink of water and to compose my thoughts. By the end of the five minutes I am focused again and ready to learn whatever Enobaria has to teach me.

Walking back into the training center I see Enobaria standing in the middle of a clearing with nothing in her hands but a smile on her face. Her shark teeth catching the light, making them shine. I feel a shiver crawling up my spine as fear shoots through my body.

She starts to slowly make her way towards me her long black hair swaying with her movement. She would be really pretty if not for her teeth, with her black hair and dark skin. However, I can't take my eyes off of her teeth.

She starts to circle me, making the circle tighter and tighter as time passes. I feel myself forcing myself to breath and trying to make myself move but my feet feel heavy.

Enobaria stops behind me and whispers in my ear, "You're scared of me aren't you?" I gulp, she laughs, "As you should be. You know what I am capable of and you know that I can still do that. Plus, you seem so vulnerable right now. You are so scared that you can't even move."

It take all that I have to force my feet to take any steps but I manage a few. Turning towards her I ask, "What is this all about?"

"Your lesson, my dearest Cato, is fear." She sends me another toothy smile.

Hope you liked it. I am going to have a lot of fun righting the Cato/Enobaria fight scene! Did people see Catching Fire? I have seen it twice already! So good! Did any of you notice how Brutus hesitated right at the beginning of the games when he had a chance to fight Katniss, because I did! Please review and feel free to message me! I am really nice! tell me what you thought of Catching Fire! love you all -SH
