Thank you, Lord, for people from FFN supporting this story.
St. Anthony, I still want my USB to be found, though. I have faith in you. :3
Disclaimer: LOST USB. That's definitely mine, I'm claiming it. But the FFN peeps own their OCs and Level 5 with Inazuma Eleven. :D
5: The Matchmaker
For who knew the reason she had none for herself?
Among the seven billion in the world, it had to be her.
She had to be the chosen one.
'Well, Kamisama,' She looked up to the ceiling, 'Thy will be done.' The unkept charcoal hair slid down the small shoulders as her head bowed low. Megamino Sokudone continued to pray. Her low murmurs of endless praise and obedience to Kamisama's will were more powerful than the background complaining.
But a stuffed penguin— false fowl, rather— brought the lady of tsuntsun back to earth as it hit her head.
"HEY!" The violet eyes glared daggers at her cousin; he had been nagging her for the past week for her choice of boys, the whole consecutive weekend for her lack of a plan, and now he's keeping her from having a heart-to-heart with the Kamisama who's granted her a mission! "Knock it off!"
"What are you mindlessly worshipping this time?"
"If you don't mind," She seethed like it was that time of the month (A/N: Fun fact, she had it late. :D). "I'm busy thanking Kamisama for choosing me to be the real-life cupid of you pathetic humans who need a shove just to be with your other half." Kazemaru gave her a weird look on his bed. "Why in my room?"
"Oh, that's because Wiruyam is Kamisama's messenger. He chose this room."
"Father, will I be forced into marriage too?" The young toddler's paint-filled hands hovered a distance away from the dining table's mahogany leg. "I heard Yuu-chan's dad say something about looking for a wife for Yuu-chan. Is it going to be me?" Kageyama's jaw tightened. He had been talking to the older Kidou about having his adopted son married off if the need ever arose.
Talk about a child ninja, silent and all.
He was going to have Yuuto married off to his daughter. It was a win-win situation anyway; the two kids were friends, so they'll be fine; the Kidou company would still manage; and he could get rid of the girl once he had gotten what he wanted. Besides, the girl was only going to be for his Project Z experiment. All Yuuto needed was an heir anyway, not forced love from his arranged wife.
"Father?"
"No," The black shade shone against the chandelier lights. "You belong to your Father. You are a Kageyama, understood?" Well, he decided, even foster fathers can be attached. Even just this once.
"Yes, Father."
"And you will never change that."
Sokudone wrapped her damp figure with the towel on the rack as she exited the bathroom in her room. Ah, Father did sort of imply that he didn't want to marry her off to anyone. It was very unlike him— years after that, Father became detached and distant, she could barely remember the last time the two of them talked over dinner.
Speaking of whom…
"I'll be back," She bid Kazemaru's blunette mother as she rushed towards the front door. "And where do you think you're off to, young lady?" Now it was her mother's brother blocking her path. He shared the same platinum blonde hair as she. "Yuji-chan's house. I'll be back before dinner."
She lied.
"Sorry I did, Father," Sokudone squatted on the grass in front of the gravestone. Aside from a few families that were a stone's throw away, the blackette was basically alone with Kageyama (A/N: Don't spoil me. I watched til Ep 2-3 of Galaxy. Besides, that's ten years from now!). "But you did make me promise a lot of things; that's why until now I still shop for dresses even if you yourself said I looked ridiculous in them." The violet-eyed girl sighed before lying on her back. The sun was not too painful, but she closed her eyes nonetheless. It had been several months after the Liocott disaster, but she had faithfully visited her family's – the Megamino clan and Kageyama, whose burial place she insisted to be adjacent to her parents' – graves up until now. "Father, I've always wished you could see how far I've gone."
"But you're right next to him," A voice answered nonchalantly. It didn't sound insensitive, neither consoling.
Sokudone flashed her eyes open. The girl's guitar case and shadow completely shielded the blackette from the sun. Her baby blue dress fluttered lightly as she crouched to Sokudone's level. "Hello, Kageyama-san," She bowed to the still grave as a still matchmaker watched. When the girl noticed her, she smiled, but glared daggers, "Yes?"
"Don't give me that look. There is no acquaintance of Father that I don't know."
The guitarist put her guitar down and squatted on the ground as well. "No need to be so rude," She snarled uncontrollably. 'As with you, darling,' Sokudone mentally commented. As said before, she wasn't exactly the angelic type.
Huh. When has that ever been true?
"I'm Fubuki Claire. Haruna-chan and I are childhood friends; when she met Kageyama-san who had something to do with her brother, she couldn't stop telling me everything, and so I wanted to give this guy a piece of my mind…but I guess I really shouldn't."
"Agreed. That man's my father."
"What's your point?"
"Offending him offends me. When I'm offended I tend to do animalistic karate."
"You don't like me very much, do you?" Claire stood up. It wasn't like she wanted little Miss-Daddy's-Girl to like her anyway. Besides, she just wanted to see the Kageyama guy. Sokudone stood up as well. The shorter girl exhaled for Kami-knows-how-long with shut eyes. Once Sokudone opened them, she bowed low. "I'm sorry. I'd thought by now that everyone would know how Father was a really good person. I guess you hadn't known yet." Claire look stunned and her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. The dead man who she was in no place to badmouth about – especially in front of his daughter – was good? This was some sort of anime cliché— that's impossible! "I'm Megamino Sokudone, by the way."
"Megamino? But I thought—"
"Kageyama Sokudone does have a nice ring to it." Claire managed a smile. She bent a little to the side to look at the gravestone again. "Sorry, Kageyama-san. I am never ever going to attempt to badmouth you again." As she looked back at the violet-eyed girl, she smiled again. 'I guess she wasn't so bad after all…just defensive.'
"Hey, you said your last name was Fubuki, right?" Sokudone asked as she and Claire headed for the cemetery gates. "Yep. Know any Fubuki around here? He's part of Inazuma Japan." Sokudone snorted at the white-haired girl. "So am I."
"Weird, they don't accept girls…"
"Father pulled some strings. Mainly because then he was still hunting me down."
"We should talk about this over three glasses each of Sherry's."
"Awesome."
William barked up at the window. Being one and a half rulers tall, it was difficult to get anywhere. Sighing, Kazemaru picked the small pup up and looked out the window, only to see the coalescing of orange and blue streaks on the sky, like some idiot artist couldn't decide where to put which color but still managed a nice portrait anyway. William barked again.
At the lawn.
"Ichirou!"
Oh, heavens, no.
"Gale-chan?" Kazemaru's mom was the first to go out the door; his dad had the night shift at work while his mom was busy with Confessions on the TV. The amber-eyed teen stood with a happy smile. "Gale-chan, it is you!" Mrs. Kazemaru wailed happily with flailing arms as she rushed to hug Gale. "You've grown so beautiful! You've always looked like Shawn-kun with those eyes of yours!" (A/N: Owner-sama, did I get it right?) Kazemaru hesitantly waited by the front door using William as a human shield.
Well, great. Now his cousin's going to stew him for dinner if she finds out.
"Ichirou, relax," Gale grinned at him. "No pranks." As soon as he stepped out of the porch, his mother grabbed him and rushed back to the TV. The sooner she knows about the person behind the Lunacy account, the more mysterious it was going to get! "Uh…hey," The tealnet greeted weakly. William barked in protest. Even his sadistic master would never dare use him as shield!
"Cute dog," Gale smirked at the fretting tealnet. It couldn't be helped: she had pulled off the scariest and most embarrassing pranks on him back when they were kids, and Ichirou could never bring himself to live it down. "Thanks," Kazemaru said as he put down the small canine and politely took Gale's suitcases. "What are you doing here, by the way? I thought you and Shawn-san were studying at that foreign school for magicians and stuff…Hogwarts, was it?"
Gale kicked him in the shin. "That's in England. Nii-chan and I studied at Australia," Seeing the mortally pained look on Kazemaru's face, Gale continued with a smug look. "It's the semestral break, and Nii-chan wanted to go back here."
"That's it? So why my house?"
Gale had this sadistic grin as if she had planned the dyeing of Kazemaru's undies pink with polka dots. "I met Socchin at the airport, and she said I could stay. Nii-chan too." Kazemaru grimaced.
'Oh, I am so taking you down with me through Wiruyam, Done.'
Sorreh gaise. Cliffie. But here you go! Two more OCs into the story! I'm planning to give you guys a Christmas special with a backtobacktoback chappie update! :3 And who knows, I might update other stories too. ;3
Socchin is basically Sokudone. Love the name. :3
