Authors Note: I have gone back and edited this chapter. When this was first published it was Hermione and Ron that visited the school but as I was editing this I realised that as close as they were both to Daisy, they had more important things to do. So for that reason it has been changed to Luna and Dean.
Chapter 5 – Finding the clues
Carrie was searching through the files on the computer. She hated computers with a passion but until they found a lead there was no other work available for her to do. She was also hated the silence that filled HQ.
No matter how many times Carrie looked through the files she could find a connection between all the people who had been kidnapped. They all worked in completely different units. They lived in different parts of England.
The only thing all had in common was they had all attended a school called Hogwarts. But when Carrie clicked on that it just went to some page with was so classified the not even Frank could get into it.
The lift opened as Frank stepped out.
'Oscar I have a job for you.' He said
'What?' asked Oscar, he was sitting on the floor beside the computer deck. Having printed out a few of the files he was marking what was common in them with highlighter.
'St Hopes has two visitors.' Frank told Oscar. 'A boy and girl, around the age of seventeen. I need you to find out what they want.'
'What that got to do with our mission?' asked Carrie as she looked up for the computer screen
'Nothing,' said Frank. 'But they might be SKUL agents.'
'I get on it,' Oscar told Frank. He stood up and placed the files on the desk beside Carrie before leaving HQ.
Oscar hurried to Mr. Flatly office.
The two visitors were already inside taking to Miss King and Mr Flatly. The girl was had long blonde hair and blue eyes. She had a distant look in her eyes as if her thoughts were elsewhere. A tall black boy stood beside her. Unlike the girl he force was entirely on the situation at hand.
Oscar quickly hid behind the door. From his position he could see inside the room but he heard everything.
'First of all, what are your names?' asked Miss King asked the two.
They looked at each other before replying.
'Luna Lovegood,' the girl said her voice also sounding distant.
'Dean Thomas,' said the boy.
'What are you here for,' asked Mr. Flatly
'We're looking for our friend,' Luna told him. 'Her name is Daisy Miller.'
Oscar gasped their moved closer to the door.
'I'm sorry" Miss King said 'but Daisy left this school 6 months ago.'
'Thank-you for your help,' Dean said, there was disappointed in his voice.
The sound of footsteps towards the door caused Oscar to quickly more to standing beside the lockers.
'Sorry we could be of more help.' Mr Flatly to the two as they left the office. Oscar didn't stick around to watch Mr Flatly lead Dean and Luna out of the school instead he quickly run back to HQ.
Back at HQ
5 minutes after Oscar had left; the lift opened again and out stepped a familiar face.
'Lenny.' Blane called happily. He had taken over Oscar job and was sitting of the floor in the exact place that Oscar had been a few minutes ago.
'Hello Blane,' Lenny said. 'I've come to see how you are doing'
'There no connection between them,' Carrie told Lenny. 'Expert that they all went to this school called Hogwarts'
Lenny turned pale as Carrie said Hogwarts. Before Rose could ask anything, Oscar came through the lift. 'What did they say,' Rose asked
'They were looking for Daisy,' Oscar told them
Anyone looked at him.
"Did they tell you what their names where"
"Dean Thomas and Luna… I forgotten her last name" Oscar told them
'…Luna Lovegood,' mummer Lenny
'Yeah that was her name,' Oscar said. 'Wait how do you know her name?'
'I meet her,' Lenny told them. "Her and Dean they went to Hogwarts with Daisy. Great kids they were. It time I left" with that Lenny walked out.
'Is it just me,' Rose said. 'But does Lenny know more than he is telling us.'
'That where I know her from.' Carrie cried causing Oscar, Blane and Rose to looked at her strangely
'I'm lost,' Oscar told her.
'I knew Daisy from somewhere I just could work out where,' Carrie told them.
'Then where do you know her from?' asked Blane.
'She went to my primary school,' Carrie told him.
'Let me guess,' Rose started 'She was the most popular girl there,'
'No,' said Carrie 'even I was more popular then Daisy.'
'What?' asked Rose and Blane.
'She had no friends,' Carrie told them. 'No one wanted to be her friend; they said she was too stuck up. But that was an excused. Weird things happen around Daisy. If you were mean to her you end up hurt yet she laid hands on anyone.'
That the end of this chapter. The next chapter will take a while because I going to have school work to do.
