Now, one Lilly is getting help from all of her friends, but is this Lilly is only getting help from Humphrey? How will this turn out? I can't believe I waited this long to continue this story. It's turning out a lot better than I had expected it to. Well on with the show. Sorry for the late publish. Destiny was way too addictive. And yet now I don't play it anymore but now I'm on BO3 on the PS4. Also I ordered a new Xbox One off of amazon and somehow they screwed up and it never showed. Im waiting for them to sort that out but still my gosh.
Lilly's Second World
Lilly had just finished telling Humphrey all about her world and what it was like there. Humphrey was comparing everything and anything he could think of with her world.
"The only thing I find hard to believe is that you would be with Garth," Humphrey said.
"Oh, but it's okay that Kate is with you?"
"Well yeah, look at me. I'm irresistible."
"Well you're definitely like Humphrey back home," Lilly said pacing back and forth.
"Okay, well, all jokes aside, how are we going to make you two switch back? Do you have a plan?"
"I have no idea why we even switched in the first place. I mean it seems like both worlds are having problems anyway just a little bit differently."
"A little bit? It like the exact opposite! But I still don't understand how somebody or whatever could send you here. Or why!"
Lilly was having a hard time thinking about that part. There was no logical explanation, but this was obviously not something logic could solve. "What if…" Lilly thought long and hard about this before she could even think of saying it out loud, "…I'm supposed to help you in this universe, and the other Lilly is supposed to help me with mine?"
"That's crazy!" Even though it sounded insane Humphrey couldn't think of any other explanations. "But you being transported here doesn't really make any sense at all. I guess maybe you're right, but how are you going to fix all of this?"
Lilly thought about it for a moment, "I have no idea."
"Lilly!" a familiar voice called out from outside the cave.
"Is that…" Lilly was about to ask about the wolf but Humphrey cut her off.
"You're not pregnant!"
"What?"
"You need to hide! Kate will wonder what happened to our pups!"
"Lilly?" Kate said sounding a lot closer to their cave now.
"Get on the side of the entrance and I'll bring her in so you can run."
Lilly quickly jumped up and ran to the side of the caves entrance. She held her breath.
"Lil… Humphrey?" Kate said peering into the cave. Luckily she was on the side Lilly went to so the wall blocked her off perfectly.
"Kate! Come in! Come in!" Humphrey said walking up to her and putting his paw over her shoulder and walked her inside the cave. He made sure to keep her eyes either pointing straight or to the other side.
Lilly couldn't help but wonder what this worlds Kate was like.
"Well I just wanted to tell you and Lilly that I'm running away with Garth," she said rather sad eyed.
Now instead of being full of fear of Kate seeing her Lilly and even Humphrey looked at her with a shocked expression.
"You're…wait what!?" he asked her wondering if he heard her right. "This is a joke right? I mean you see Garth like basically every other day. It's can't be that bad right?" Humphrey said trying anything to keep here her, but he knew what he had just said was a pretty stupid excuse.
"No, it's not a joke. I don't want to see Garth every other day in secret. I want to see him every day. I want him to be able to hold me in his arms in public and play around with him in the woods, but I just can't here. Not with our packs being divided like this."
Lilly realized she had to get out of there. She quickly ran out the cave. Not the best move since Kate had trained Alpha ears for that sort of thing.
"What was that?" she said looking outside. Luckily Lilly was fast enough to get out of that cave before Kate could look over Humphrey.
"Oh, it was probably a squirrel I managed to chaise in here. I was going to catch it for Lilly before she showed up. Wait so you really want to leave the pack? Your family?"
Kate couldn't smell any recent scent from any animal besides Lilly and Humphrey, but when Humphrey asked her that she decided to ignore the lack of scent. "Yes. Humphrey you were a great brother and I know my dad needs a lot of help, but I don't see anything that will help our packs reunite again."
"But they are going to kill us! Pretty soon there won't be two packs to unite! One is going to DIE and I have really low hopes for me and Lilly making it out alive!" Humphrey yelled at her.
The thought had crossed Kates mind, but she had no solution for it. "I'm sorry Humphrey. I… Come with us!" she said realizing a simple solution for all four of their problems.
"What?" Humphrey asked.
"Come with us! All four of us can run away together. All four of us can watch over Lilly's pups until we find a permanent home! Then Garth and I could have kids and we could start our own pack! Slowly and slowly over the years!"
They didn't know it, but Lilly was just a short ways outside the cave hiding in a few bushes listening to the whole conversation.
Humphrey was shaking his head, "Kate, that's crazy. We can't do that. You and Garth can't do that either."
"Why not!? There's nothing for me and Garth here anymore! And pretty soon there won't be anything for you and her here anymore either!"
"Because this is our pack!" Humphrey yelled at a level he never thought he'd ever reach. "Somebody needs to save our pack! We need to save our pack! Without you or Garth we can kiss all of our chances goodbye!"
"We have no chances!" Kate yelled with tears in her eyes. "We've been trying and trying but nothing works out!" There was a long silence in the cave. Kate's tears rolled down her cheeks but she didn't cry. Humphrey was stuck somewhere between anger and sadness. "Just talk to Lilly about it. I'll respect your decision, but I hope you respect ours as well," she said slowly walking out of the cave.
Humphrey sat there not being able to look back as tears finally formed around his eyes at the thought of losing his sister-in-law.
Kate walked out sniffling, which made her realize that Lilly's scent was surprisingly strong, but apart from that just a tad different, but she just brushed it off and ran into the woods trying her hardest not to cry.
Lilly walked out of her hiding spot. She could hear Humphrey crying now. She slowly walked back in with a sad face. If she didn't fix this soon then there was going to be big trouble.
Humphrey turned to look at Lilly, "We need your help. Lilly would hate me forever if Kate left and I didn't stop her."
"I can't. I don't know now! It took a heard of caribou to make the easternpack realize what a horrible mistake they were…" Then Lilly looked up to the ceiling and thought of something that just might help save their packs. "Caribou! Humphrey you and I need to reenact that scenario and save the packs. Maybe then they will be reminded that Omegas aren't completely useless. In fact in my world it was because of you that we united the packs."
"Really? How did I do that?"
"We are going to need a log and the right opportunity."
A voice from outside the cave came echoing through, "Humphrey! Come quick! The packs! They are gathering in the center. It looks like they are going to start a war!" said a voice that sounded like one of Humphrey's friends.
"The center! That's where it all took place! Oh no Humphrey! We have to go!" Lilly runs out.
Humphrey follows after her, "Lilly! Wait! If anybody sees you…!"
"Improvise! They might just think I already had my pups!" She runs towards the commotion. She steps out of some trees and looks around at the battle that has already begun. "Oh no. We might already be too late!"
Oh snap! Only one chapter left. It will include what's happening in both worlds and it will be the end of this epic story 4 years in the making! I know this one was a lot shorter than the last one but I think it's because I skipped through some of the explanations since it's basically the same in the other world. Again I apologize for the long hiatuses between chapters but I will finish it soon! Keep on reading!
