This is the point where I start to feel restricted by the 100-word format. :-) But I'm sure it's all for the best.
This one turned out much more condensed than I intended.
Prompt 005: Beginning
The terrier growled; a long, low, menacing growl. Its quarry took another step backwards, and came up against a brick wall.
'Ah,' said the student. 'Er…'
A second later, the dog's owner appeared round the corner, grabbed the terrier by the collar and wrestled it back into its cage.
'Oh dear,' he said, looking down. 'I'm most awfully sorry, William doesn't usually act like this… Oh, that looks painful... Do you want me to come with you and get that sorted out? My name's Trevor, by the way,' he added as he helped the student to his feet. 'What's yours?'
