Hey guys it's Jake! Time to get on with this story! :D :D :D
September 1st.
"Is the portal set up guys?" Phoebe asked running around the house making sure that the doors were locked.
"Give us a few seconds Phoebe." Piper said. "It's not like we just became witches and we're new to magic or anything right?"
"The archway is built. We just need to recite the spell. And make sure that no one else has access to it." Prue said standing up.
"Piper!" Jacob said running up the steps.
"What is it honey?" Piper said.
"Where's my wand at?" Jacob asked.
"You don't get to use the wand until we get to Hogwarts." Prue said walking up to him. "I have it and the Book of Shadows. Now you go hold your sisters hand and start chanting."
"Here and now in this hour I call upon the ancient power. Magic forces strong with me, open the door so I may see. The place where we being ascention, all of our magical intention."
The archway glimmered with a brilliant light. A castle was visible on the other side.
"Let's go!" Jacob said walking towards the portal.
"Right behind you buddy!" Phoebe said.
"Wait a second!" Prue said as the two stepped through the portal.
"Well if you can't beat them." Piper said grabbing her suitcases. "C'mon Prue."
"Piper wait!" Prue said but Piper was already through the portal. Prue looked around at the attic.
"Go on sweetie." A disembodied voice said.
Prue looked around, startled. "Mom?" Prue said looking around the attic.
"You have to go to Hogwarts. For Jacob's sake. You must protect him. And your sisters."
"From what?" Prue asked
But there was no response. Prue looked at the portal, sighed, and walked through the archway. Suddenly two women appeared and looked around the attic. They looked at the archway and smiled.
"Well mom, they did it." The younger one said.
"Yes they did Patty. Yes they did." The older woman said putting a ghostly arm around her daughter. "Now I suppose we have to lock this place up so the mortals don't come sniffing around."
"Probably. Mother do you think they should have been told about Jacob before he left?"
"No. Dumbledore was explicit in his instructions. Jacob has to come into his powers on his own." Penny said firmly. "Now this portal needs to be hidden, this attic needs to be sealed and then the portal at Hogwarts needs to be linked back the house. The girls can't be at Hogwarts 24/7. As much as I don't like to admit it, they have lives outside of being witches."
Patty nodded at her mother and with a collective wave of their ghostly hands, the portal shimmered and the attic door sealed itself. "They'll call us before long." Patty said with a smile.
"Oh I'm counting on it." Penny said with a smile. "I think our time here is up Patty. Time to go back Up There."
MEANWHILE…
"Look at that lake!" Jacob said running up to the water's edge.
"Stay back Jacob, you don't know what's in the water." Prue shouted and Jacob meekly retreated back to his sister's side.
"Never mind the lake, look at that castle." Piper said in awe. "Maybe this witch thing isn't so bad if we get to stay here."
"Piper chill, we're not sure if were…"
"Hello there!" A Scottish woman yelled across the lawn strolling up to the siblings. "You must be the Halliwells, Professor Dumbledore told me you would be arriving by a different mean than the train."
"Wizards use trains?" Phoebe said nonplussed while Jacob said "Why couldn't we ride the train?"
"Never mind." Prue said to the two youngest siblings. "And I'm sorry, I missed your name Mrs."
"McGonagall. Professor McGonagall. Head of Gryffindor house and the Transfiguration Department." Professor McGonagall said to Prue. "And you'd do well to remember it."
Piper, Phoebe, and Jacob looked at Professor McGonagall in awestruck as Prue stood there dumbfounded.
"I like her, she reminds me of Grams." Jacob whispered. Phoebe snickered and Piper allowed herself a grin.
"Well shall we head up to the Castle? We'll get you sorted into your house Jacob and then discuss where your sisters will be living."
"What do you mean where we'll be living? We're staying together." Piper said putting her arm around Jacob protectively.
"May I speak to you three alone?" Professor McGonagall said pointing over by the lake shore. "Mr. Halliwell, we will be with you in a moment."
"Alright Professor McGonagall." Jacob said laying down on the ground. The sky was perfectly clear and an immaculate shade of blue. It was the perfect time to admire his new surroundings. The three sisters and Professor McGonagall walked over to the shore.
"You three will be able to stay in the Castle with the ability to return to States and come back whenever you please. However, Jacob being able to use wand magic, will be sorted into one of the Four Hogwarts Houses. He will be able to visit you. However, Penny was."
"Penny? As in Grams Penny?" Phoebe said "How did she know that Jacob would be coming here?"
"When Jacob was born, his name appeared on our list. We were confused as well. However, now is not the time or place to discuss this. Just please trust me when I say it is for Jacob's own good that he be sorted into a house."
"Excuse us for one second." Prue said. The three sisters walked away. Professor McGonagall walked over to Jacob and started talking with him.
"What do we think?" Prue said.
"I mean, Grams said it was ok, and I mean we summoned her once already. We could summon her again to see if this checks out?" Phoebe said.
"I think we should trust her." Piper said. I mean, Grams said this was our destiny, and who knows. It might be good to let Jacob be sorted and let him hang out with kids his own age. I mean, he never really socialized with kids when he was in school. Being forced to be around them all the time might do him so good."
Prue looked at Piper and Piper knew she had won that argument.
"Alright." Prue conceded and the three sisters walked back to Jacob and Professor McGonagall.
"Jacob are you ready to go find out which house you belong in?" Phoebe said walking up to her brother and putting her arm around his shoulders.
"Yeah!" Jacob said excitedly much to the sister's surprise. He started walking up to the castle. Professor McGonagall smiled at the sisters and said "Shall we head up and get you settled in?"
Oh my god it feels so good to be writing again! Here we go!
