Some Mouth to Mouth?

The ship was filled with people crawling around with nothing better to do than spend their money on a moving boat to take them places. Of course, they didn't have to work.

It wasn't their fault she had to work her butt off as a lifeguard on a swimming pool where their parents couldn't watch their kids properly and where kids swore they could swim until they actually entered the water and started drowning.

Sometimes she wished to be in the other side, where she could enjoy their summer as they did. Where being on a cruise wouldn't stink and instead it would be enjoyable, a release from a stressing year.

She doesn't remember a time where her summer wasn't spent watching a pool filled with people or keeping people from drowning.

She sighed as she passed a hand through her hair, it was hot, the sun burned in the sky and she was sure that even with sunblock she was sure to get a tan.

She looked around then making sure everything was alright, no one was drowning, diving in, running. She relaxed until she saw him.

He walked like he owned the place, his usual attitude, his best friend and business partner on his side. She recognized him instantly, she had worked for him for almost a year before he fired her for putting him in his place after the way he fired Eren.

His eyes scanned the pool as he made his way to one of the chairs near it. In a swift motion he got rid of his shirt leaving his torso exposed for the world to see. Oh how she hated him, but damn she couldn't deny he was a fine man.

She didn't like the direction her thoughts were heading so she glared at him instead, the glare intensifying by the second trying to burn a hole through him.

The sane part of her was telling her to ignore him, to just sit there quietly in her seat and do her job, but the other part of her just wanted to have some fun. And what better than some fun at his expense.

She went down from her chair and walked around the pool, pretending to inspect it, but from the corner of her eyes she looked at him. He hadn't noticed her yet, immersed in a talk with his friend, Erwin.

When she was close enough she spoke. "Excuse me, you're not tall enough to go into the pool." She saw his shoulders tense and was glad to know that his height was still a touchy subject.

"Go to hell." He turned around with a glare but she could see the surprise upon recognizing her. "It's you." His tone of voice told her he couldn't care less about seeing her. "I can swim, go pester someone else." He shooed her away with his hand before turning his back to her again.

She raised an eyebrow; she had forgotten how he could annoy her to no ends. "Are you sure, 'cause I think we have some arm floaties for little kids you could use."

She heard him sigh in frustration; it was music to her ears. He turned around again to face her. "If what you want is for me to drown so you can give me some mouth to mouth just say so, we can arrange that." There was a smirk on his lips.

His comment took her aback for a moment; a part of her really liked the idea. "Perfect, seeing you drown will be the highlight of my day." She took a step forward where she was hovering over him.

She could hear Erwin sigh before he turned around and left as he had often done back when she worked for them.

"And your lips against mine can be the highlight of my night, what do you say?" He was teasing her, but she couldn't be too sure so instead of responding she shoved against him and pushed him into the water.
