~Spirit of Laughter~

Chapter 9

Joy walked through a clearing, her bare feet digging through while the soft wind caressed her skin along with her soft, white dress. She breathed in the scent of freshly bloomed flowers. She smiled and closed her eyes, letting the soft breeze carry her golden hair around. Suddenly, a pair of cold arms wrapped around her waist; surprised, she desperately turned around to face the person and she was met with icy blue eyes gazing at her emerald ones. "What are you doing here, Jack?"

He chuckled. "What? Can't I visit my adorable little honey?"

She scoffed, "Don't you even think about calling me honey,"

"Hm... how about sweetiepie?" She gagged.

"No."

"Sweetie?"

Her patience was now running low. "No" Since when did she become someone else's dessert?

"Cutie pie?" Joy cringed.

"No, no, no, and NO!" She screamed at his face. Jack smirked. "Awh, my little kitten is getting all feisty now," She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, forgetting that his arms was still around her waist.

He chuckled. "Fine. 'M sorry, 'kay?" Joy felt her body relax. She looked up into his eyes. She let out a breath. She never acknowledged how beautiful his eyes were.

Jack leaned his forehead on Joy's and smiled. "You're so beautiful, Joy." He whispered, making her heart beat fast with butterflies fluttering inside her stomach. She knew this feeling all too well.

She, Joy Amouré, was in love. With the Jack Frost. I repeat. Jackson. Overland. Freaking. Frost.

She slowly smiled. Jack started to lean in and closed his eyes, Joy, doing the same. Their mouths only a centimeter apart-

"JOY! Breakfast's ready!"

Her head jerked upward as her eyes opened and cussed. "Havin' a good dream are ya~?" Her eyes widened and turned her head and found Jack sitting by the window sill.

"What are you doing in my room?!" She screamed.

"Calm down, geez. I just came up to wake you up, which you are now." Jack said, running a hand through his already messy hair.

Joy sighed. "Can you go out now?" She asked, looking at her lap. She heard a soft "Mhmm" and the door closing.

Looking through the mirror, her appearance was ragged- bed hair, cheeks flushed and a slight drool. After cleaning herself up and took a quick shower and changed her clothes. She was now wearing an army green pull-over hoodie and navy blue denim shorts that reached just above her knees.

"Mornin' North." Joy smiled up at the man as they walked towards the dining room.

"Good Morning, Joy!" He replied happily, although his smile turned upside-down when a series of clanking and crashing was heard from the kitchen.

"JACKSON FROST!"

::Bunny's Warren::

Bunnymund woke up at the smell of pancakes and waffles wafting through the air.

"Bunny! Get up, breakfast's ready!" Luna's muffled voice called.

He got up and went to the bathroom to wash his face, only to find hands instead of big, furry paws.

"Ahh!" Bunny screamed, accidentally knocking some of Luna's toiletries to the floor as he fell back.

"BUNNYMUND? Are ya okay?" Luna asked from the kitchen.

"N- fine!" He answered. Bunny stood up to face the mirror, and what he saw was quite... unusual.

He was now human. Well, partially, anyway. He still had his bunny ears and that cute fluffly tail. Speaking of which, he had no pants, so his- in this way, 'manhood' was clearly visible.

'What am I gonna do?' Bunny thought. If Luna were to find out, she'd freak out and faint. 'How did this happen anyway?'

He searched for a certain memory at the back of his mind, but there was none. Karen didn't cast a spell on him, nor did he knock over some potions in Karen's place. He ran a hand though his now unkept hair. That's it! It was the green-goey thing that he got splashed on when he helped Karen clean her tub. He gagged at the memory of the slimy thing that touched his skin.

First things first, he needed clothes. Badly. But where could he get some? Tooth, Joy and most certainly Luna, is not on the list. Maybe at Sandy's? No, wait, does he even have clothes? How about Jack's? Nah, all he has was a frozen lake and a room in North's. He doubted that Jack even had extra clothes. North's are surely too big for him. He sighed and looked around the bathroom, his eyes landing on his extra, clean blanket.

Maybe. Just maybe...

"Bunny? Are ya gonna eat or not?" Luna called as she walked to his room slowly.

"I-I'm coming! Just please don't freak out. Something happened and uh-"

Luna stared at the now human-ish Bunnymund and was about to shriek, but Bunnymund spoke up as he held on to the blanket.

"It's still me! Bunnymund! Pleasedontscream." Bunny said as Luna gaped at him whilst her left eye was twitching.

"What the hell happened to you!?" Luna gasped, still can't get over the fact that Bunny's practically naked. She blushed.

"U-uh, c-can I explain later? When I have uh, you know, efficient clothin'?" Bunny's face turned red.

"S-Sure. I-I'll ask North for some." Luna turned away, transforming into a cheetah and immediately rushing off to the Pole.

Minutes later, she arrived back at the warren with clothing that didn't fit North- they were too small for him, but big enough for Bunny to fit. Bunny was showering when she got to his room.

"Bunny? I have the clothes!" She knocked.

"Okay, just leave it on my bed!" Luna placed the articles of clothing on his bed and went back to the kitchen to re-heat their breakfast. 'Oh gosh, what the hell happened to Bunny? I've never seen anything like that before either. Okay, get it together Luna, you can do this.' She felt her cheeks grow hot, an image of Bunny suddenly coming in her mind. Luna cursed, shaking her head and slapping her cheeks, she sighed.

"I'm sorry for earlier, I know that you were really surprised-"

Luna turned around, a smile on her face. "Oh don't worry about that Bunny, it's okay-" her eyes took in his appearance, Bunny was wearing a red fitted v-neck shirt with khaki pants and also a slight tint of red across his slightly tanned cheeks. His grey hair was still damp and was sticking out from every direction. She could feel once again her face heating up, 'Oh God he looks hot. ARGH. Luna. Shut. Up.' she thought.

"Luna, hey? You okay?"

She snapped out of thoughts, her eyes meeting Bunny's emerald ones. "You okay?" He asked, worry in his voice. Luna then nodded quickly, before dismissing herself inside the kitchen and outside the cozy cottage.

"I think I should see Joy right now," she declared, quickly transforming into a cheetah and exiting the Warren and ran towards the North Pole, completely forgetting about Bunny's explanation.

"Joy!" Luna called to Joy who was sprinting fast outside the door. Joy turned to look at her, a smile on her face.

"Oh, hey Luna! Sorry but I couldn't chat with you. I gotta go, bye!" Joy quickly dismissed Luna, but before she could fly, Luna tackled her on the ground.

"Why are you such in hurry anyway?" Luna asked, shooting Joy a confused glance.

"Dad called for me so I should really go there quickly. If not, he'll surely be angry." Joy quickly replied, trying to escaped Luna's grip.

"Can I come with you?"

Joy cocked an eyebrow, obviously asking 'why?'

"W-well, that because, uhm,- oh nevermind! Just take me with you!" She pouted, turning into a kitten and hopping into Joy's hood.

Joy rolled her eyes but didn't argue. Sensing that her dad was losing his patience, she took off quickly, but made sure Luna was secured enough for the flight.
