I must be going crazy- Bella thought as she sat down one of the toilets in the women's room, her mind slowly sliding into shock as she replayed last evenings events and this mornings events in her mind and made a low strangled sound in the back of her throat as she clutched her clothing tightly enough in her hands to rip it to pieces.

I must be going crazy- Because there was no way on Earth that giant humanoid, mutant, alien, muppet mice thingy's existed. Unless... She had been sucked into a parallel universe or something.

Where the boundries of reality and fiction collide. She thought with a little hysterical giggle. But then, well, last night had been Halloween. And her grammy had used to tell her that on Halloween night, under the right conditions- the impossible could become possible.

But if that were true...why hadn't the news or someone alerted the general population? Were they looking for a new story? Or did they just think this shit was funny? Because if so, the next time she saw a news anchor on the streets- she was going to empty out her purse and put a brick in it and hit them over the head with it. Yeah, that could work.

She'd hit them and run since it was partially their fault that she was losing her mind.

Closing her eyes for a moment, she took several unsteady breaths then slowly opened her eyes again and looked around the bathroom since she hadn't taken the time to before. The walls were two tone, one a vivid blue and the other an off white. There was- she craned her neck a little and peered around the corner of the open stall she was sitting in- and blinked at the small white metal lawn bench sitting over in the corner with a fake (at least she thought it was fake) potted plant with large pink and white flowers running up a vine.

Next to the bench was a little table and some magazines. Which was a mite puzzling to her since she got the impression that she was in a public restroom and they normally didn't have such things in them.

She sighed and leaned back a bit where she sat and started to pick through her clothes when she heard the faint sound of heavy footsteps outside the room and paused. Her heart leaping up into her mouth as the fear flooded her senses. The footsteps paused right outside the door and she sucked in a ragged breath and held it as she waited for the person- mutant, alien, muppet mouse thingy, to go away.

Unaware that the creature on the other side of the door could hear her frantic heartbeat and smell her fear. Leaving a bitter acidic taste in his mouth that turned his stomach.

He tilted his head slightly, straining his hearing just a bit when he noticed that he couldn't hear the subtle movement of air being pushed through the woman's lungs and wondered if she was alright. He would have gone in to check on her already, if not for the fact that she was probably already feeling more than a little overwhelmed. But why couldn't he hear her breathe?

Was she so freaked that she had suffered an asthma attack and passed out then stopped breathing?

He put a hand against the door to the restroom and debated for a moment on going in and checking on her. But was suddenly rooted to the spot when it occurred to him that he might find a corpse on the other side of the door.

Please don't be dead- He didn't want to wind up a murderer, however indirectly it may have happened. Especially when getting rid of the body would be a bitch.

Pushing on the door a little bit, he opened it a crack and heard a half hiccup/squeak from somewhere within the room and automatically closed the door again after doing a quick check to make sure there was no dead human female on the floor somewhere.
