Hi everyone, I apologize for having a short chapter. My mother passed away over a week and a half ago. I have been in North Carolina off and on during that time. Since I have returned last Monday, I am still in the process of catching up on a ton of homework for my Asian History and Intermediate German 201 evening college classes. The next chapter will be better. I promised my mother before she died that I will continue writing my fanfiction novel. She enjoyed having me narrate each chapter to her when she was in the hospital. I hope everyone enjoy my short chapter. - S.

THEN:

Dean sighed in resignation. "Alright she is invited to join us." He looked weary at the woman hoping she was a good guy. "Listen I am sorry if I am being a jerk about this but our place is not a public residence. We stay in a bunker that has sigils on it to keep demons away. Only three people beside me and my brother knows this place existed. I want your word that you will not tell anyone; not even your closest friends about my place."

"You have my word Dean. Thank you for putting an ounce of trust in me. I mentioned to Kuryiel that I am actually on vacation. I do work for a living." She sat back finally let herself relax after feeling dejected earlier.

Sam curiously pushed his plate aside and asked. "Are you hunter? You mentioned knowing an old friend that is a hunter."

Mara chuckled to Sam's question knowing he was way off the mark. "No, I am not a hunter. You may be surprised but I work for a government agency."

Everyone's eyes widen in surprise and interest. Castiel asked in everyone's behalf. "What agency do you work for if you don't mind sharing?"

Dean sat straight up waiting to her Mara's answer. She glanced at the man with the green eyes with a brilliant smile on her face. "I work for the FBI and I also assisted in various Department of Justice agencies when needed for my special talents."

NOW:

Dean sat back in the booth crossed in arms in stark interest. "Special talents like your monster skills?"

She raised an eyebrow. "You can say that but I am also a whiz on computers. I have exceptional hacking skills. My hacker name is The Phoenix."

Sam turned his head in amazement "I heard about a hacker with that name from Kevin. He wondered who this person was since he has researched about hackers to recruit as hunters."

"The Phoenix? Really? It sounds like the actor that died in the ninety's. He had a large hippy family." Dean joked.

"Sorry to disappoint you and your temporary lack of brain cell function. My name has no relation to the former actor River Phoenix. His family is human so you can remove that joke from your future stand-up comedy material." She said in a sarcastic tone.

Sam snickered and Dean glared at him feeling a bit embarrassed. "Man, this chick does not have a sense of humor."

"You got that wrong. She just called you stupid in a humorous way." Sam chuckled.

"Whatever." He dismissed Sam and glanced at Mara. "If you work for the FBI where's your badge?"

"Alright, I'll show you." She digged in her backpack and pulled out a leather fold in pouch. She flipped the badge open to reveal her picture and a gold badge with number. She handed her ID to Dean.

He looked at it carefully and it seem to look legitimate. "It looks like the real thing. Do you mind having a friend checking to see if your badge number exists?"

"No I don't mind. Go right ahead. I will be in the system." She sat back with a smile on her face.

"Great." Dean gave her a steely gaze. He handed her identification to Sam. "Hey look her up in your fancy smart phone."

Sam shook his head and looked at the badge like it was deadly snake and raised his hands to keep it from him. "Naw bro. Get Kevin to do that for you."

Dean shrugged and placed the badge in front of him next to his beer. "Fine I'll call Kevin." He took his phone out of his pocket and hit a number on his speed dial. "Hey I need a favor could you look up something for me. Huh? We are at a diner. Yeah, you are missing out but your school is more important man. Let me give this info to you." Dean paused as he listen to Kevin fussing and typing on his laptop. He relayed the name and badge number to the young man. After a while Dean looked over at Mara and grinned. "Thanks man. We will see you on your next school break." He hung up.

"Well?" Mara took a sip of her drink.

"You are legit. Kevin even described what you looked like and it was all accurate. I'm glad you are not a fake FBI agent. You may come in handy one day if Sam and I get in a jam if that's ok with you." He handed the ID badge back to her.

She put her badge in her backpack. "Sure but we have to barter. I help you when needed and in turn you treat me out to a diner." She placed her right hand in front of his to seal the agreement.

Dean put his right hand in hers and shook it with a firm grip. "It's a deal lady. Well, let's get out of here. We have a good drive back to our place. Are you following us there?"

She slid out of the booth and brushed the crumbs off her lap. "Yes I will follow you guys there. So where are we heading?"

Dean opened the door for everyone to exit the restaurant. She walked by him and he inclined his head for her to go through the doorway first. "We live in Lebanon, Kansas so I hope you like long drives."

Mara heard Dean's graveled steps behind her. She turned her head toward her right shoulder. "I like long trips. I will be right back so don't take off."

Dean walked toward his car and watched Mara walk to the side of the diner toward a motorcycle. It was a serious piece of Japanese equipment meant for speed. His left eyebrow raised feeling impressed that she rode a black mean looking crotch rocket.

Kuryiel and Castiel walked toward the right rear door of Dean's car. She leaned over to whisper in Castiel's ear. He nodded at her with a small smile. She kissed him on the cheek and walked toward Mara. "Hey do you have another helmet?"

Mara looked over her bike to see if it has been tampered with. "Nope I don't have one. I guess you wanted to ride with me."

Kuryiel looked at the motorcycle and admired the dark sleekness with dark blue flames showing on the black background of the bike's paint. "I sure do. If you don't mind, I love riding on motorcycles."

Mara hopped on the bike and started the engine. "Well, if I had helmet I would not mind at all. But-"

Kuryiel manifested a black helmet that had the same blue color flames as the motorcycle. She took one step closer to the motorcycle and her clothes instantly changed to a full body leather black motorcycle gear with flames flowing on each side of the suit. She saw the startled look on Mara's face and laughed. "Now I have proper gear to ride on your bike. Let's get going." She placed her helmet on her head and climbed behind Mara. Before the woman took off with her passenger, Kuryiel placed a finger on Mara's helmet to calibrate her headset and microphone to hers.

Mara chuckled in astonishment. "You have everything covered don't you?"

"I like to have all bases covered. Plus it will be pretty boring if we can't chat with each other. I know you have questions about Dean. This trip will give us some time for me to answer what you want to know." She patted Mara on the shoulder. "Let's get on the road. They are waiting for us."

Dean looked over at the two ladies talking by the motorcycle. He gasped when he saw Kuryiel changed into motorcycle gear. He was impressed by what she was wearing. "Damn! I wish I could change clothes like that. I would have a mental wardrobe on standby every day. Especially when killing monsters get messy." He got in the driver's seat and cranked his baby.

Sam fastened his seat belt. "Well bro the reality is that you don't have it. So now I can offer to you the same thing you offered me earlier about having stains removed from your clothes. I am glad you don't have that ability to change clothes at a blink of an eye because I don't want to see your girly outfits."

"Very funny Rapunzel. Let's go home so you can make your appointment at the beauty salon on time. I'll even pay extra for the paint job on your nails." Dean said with a sardonic tone.

"Whatever Jerk. Get on the road man. The ladies are waiting behind us to leave."

Dean drove out of the parking lot with Mara motorcycle trailing behind him. When they reached the main highway Mara switch to the lane next to Dean's car and turned helmet toward him. He looked over and gave her thumbs up. She replied the same way. The next thing Dean saw was the two women on the Japanese motorcycle suddenly taking off like a rocket on the road. He whistled knowing she must have gone at least 95 miles an hour flying past the few cars that were in front of him. They disappeared from his range of sight ahead of him. "Man she's fast. I hope they will not end up being squid on the highway. Kuryiel probably cloaked both of them so the cops will not clock them for going so fast." Dean looked in the rearview mirror at Castiel. "Hey aren't you concerned about her being on the highway like that?"

Castiel looked at Dean's eyes through the rearview mirror. "I have confidence she will be alright. Since I have a part of her grace I have her memories of her riding motorcycles. She even rode on a race track to go fast as she wanted. If something happens on the road she will remove herself and Mara from harm."

Dean changed lanes on the highway to drive past a slow pickup truck. "Oh I forgot she can zap out anytime. Yeah I guess it would not be an issue." Dean nudged Sam after he noticed his brother was dozing off in the passenger seat. "Hey where is the music you burned for me recently. You got your shot to hear something that we both like."

Sam dug in the glove compartment and handed Dean a CD. "Here you go. I am so glad you are giving us a break from the oldies rock."

Dean placed the CD in the player. He scoffed feeling insulted. "First of all, it's not oldies rock. You don't hear that on an oldies station. Second, the rock songs never go out of style so get over it."

The three drove down the long stretch of highway heading back to the bunker.
