Prologue: The Overwhelming Anxiety Over One's Own Situation

Hinata Hyuga couldn't help but grimace slightly in pain as she accidentally cuts herself for the third time.

It was an ongoing process for a while now, and even though she has never made a good luck charm before, she still wanted to try.

The whole concept of the charm actually came from a video game that she has been playing for a while now called Kingdom Hearts.

It has a very interesting storyline…but it was a little bit more than just that.

She has developed an interest in a wide array of other things to ignore just how distant she was with the rest of her family.

Ever since her mother passed away a couple years ago, her relationship with her father seemed to fall apart even though she tried her best to be a good older sister to her younger sister, Hanabi.

Even her relationship with her older cousin, Neji…wasn't really doing so good either.

Honestly… She didn't even see the point of even trying anymore…

Hinata stopped for a moment as she looked down at her hands that was covered in bandages.

Not only that…but she just felt more and more depressed as the years went by.

I can't believe it's already been about four years… It seemed like it was only just yesterday when…

Hinata's eyes became almost melancholic before she quickly pushed those thoughts away.

Now wasn't the time to think about the past.

She shook her head slightly before she turned her attention over to her backpack as well as a suitcase that was set off to the side for her.

Right… Her father had told her that she wasn't going to be living with him and Hanabi anymore…

Instead…he was placing her in the care of someone else who would be able to help her.

Someone who could take proper care of her when she needed it.

Was that really all it was? Or was he just…getting rid of her completely?

…Was it because she resembled her mother quite closely? While Hanabi only looks like a splitting image of himself?

She didn't hate her sister at all for being favorited by their father…but sometimes…

…It was just a little too much…

Hinata placed the unfinished charm down on the floor before she went over to her drawer as she took out a few set of clothes for her to pack.

It doesn't matter…and yet…

…She didn't want to leave.

She didn't want to be separated from her own sister.

And yet…

Why was this happening to her?

Didn't he realize that her sister would be left all alone?

Did he…even care?

Sometimes…she really doesn't know for sure.

She wanted to believe that he does care for them…but it was so hard to see it…

Hopefully…the people who were going to be her new guardians…were nice people…

I decided to go back to change most, if not all of the chapters. And in doing so, I'm also leaving things a little bit more clear than rather ambiguous. I hope you guys won't mind waiting for a while until I'm doing revising all of the chapters. Same goes for my other stories as well.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
