Chapter 3. The Red Ninja

Pucca

Pucca's smile became wider when she saw Garu squirming uncomfortably in his seat, as he let out a poor excuse of a cough to hide the fact that he had just gulped. His cheeks had turn an adorable shade of red, that actually melted right through Pucca's heart.

Aw he was a cutie, Pucca couldn't deny it, he was extremely attractive, but his actions ever since she walked in were just so cute to her. He acted as if he never seen a girl before. But it doesn't matter if he's cute, she reminded herself quickly. He isn't as innocent as he looks. He is just like the rest of them.

"Um….," Garu stammered, quickly averting his eyes from looking at her. He instead took a great fascination in looking at the ceiling. "Right. Well there's a lot to cover. From weekly, monthly, and yearly reports on sales and production, Cooperation meetings, Restaurant management policies-" Garu rambled on strictly into business and still not daring to steal a glance to her.

Pucca listened half-heartedly. She had studied the basics of all he was saying before applying here. But to her the company could burn to hell for all she cared. This damn company is at fault for all the misfortune she suffered. She was definitely going to bury it to the ground when she is done with her plan.

She swears it.

All hell will soon break lose in this little company.

Garu suddenly turned to her now and in a millisecond Pucca lips pulled up again in an easy-going smile.

"Do you have your application folder and resume?" Garu asked her, in a slightly shy tone to him.

Pucca nodded picking up the folder she had when she came in. This was the perfect opportunity for another shot at encouraging him. Because she was sitting at the edge of the desk she leaned in at an angle, getting closer to him, as she handed him the folder.

She knew perfectly well what she was doing. Just like she knew that the handshake earlier had given Garu quite a view of her breast. She had been testing him when she did the handshake earlier to see if he could find her attractive. She knew he had looked and that blush that had crept on his cheek made Pucca's heart swell.

Garu kept his eyes low now, as if he wasn't sure where to look at now as he reached for the folder a little too abruptly.

Pucca let out a short giggle, but did not move from her position. He didn't tell her to move away so she stayed, hoovering a little above him as he read through the papers in the application.

Garu kept his eyes at the papers in the folder, scanning through her resume and application.

"You're originally from Sooga?" Garu questioned in surprise, now glancing up at her.

At that question Pucca slightly tense. "Y-yes I was born here, I lived here for a long time until I ….-" She mentally shook her head. Before continuing "until I left and came back here just last week."

"What made you come back?" He asked curiously. Although his expression was still the same.

Impossible to read.

Like I would ever tell you beforehand- Pucca answered back in her mind. "Family," she responded instead. It wasn't entirely a lie. Just not the whole truth.

She was half expecting Garu to ask her further about her vague answer, but to her huge surprise he didn't. Instead he continued reading through her application for the next several minutes.

Pucca continued to stare at him as he did so, up this close, she took note of everything about him. His eyelashes were long, his nose arched at a point, his jawbones were set strong, and part of Pucca wondered how it would feel to stroke his face with her fingers, to run a hand in his enticing eyebrows. His shoulders were broad and muscled. She could tell that under his clothes he was definitely well-built. Very well built.

Absentmindedly, Pucca licked her lips.

Garu must've sense that she was admiring him, as he suddenly tilted back, and closed the folder abruptly.

"I-It's late I think it's time to head home," he stated in a rush as he stood up. Pucca stared after him curiously as he rounded the desk. "It was nice meeting you Pucca. We'll discuss more tomorrow," He was already towards the door. "Have a goodnight."

And just like that he stepped out of the office.

Pucca stared dumbfounded for a moment, glancing at the clock to realize it was only 6 in the evening. In the job description she had read that hours could run until 8 at night, and that it sometimes may require overtime.

Garu had ran away from her, she realized now with a small laugh. Shrugging it off, she jumped from the desk genuinely smiling now. It's fine if he left, this was after all the first time meeting each other, she had many, many days ahead of her to seduce him. It was only a matter of time before he would be heads over heels in love with her and that's when the real fun would begin.

Pucca stretched her arms, only slightly aching from her fighting earlier, as she walked out the office, wondering if she should do any more modifications to her ninja suit before heading to bed.

Garu

Garu hid in the break room, leaning against the wall, letting out an uneasy breath. He ran shaky hand through his hair.

He couldn't even explain what he was feeling right now. It was the first time his body responded this way. His whole body felt overly warm, his palms were even sweating. The feeling of running away was still dangerously lingering in his mind. Not to mention that the moment he had sense her checking him out in such a…a predatory-like way- something mysterious unraveled within himself, particularly in a lower area of himself-that he had no choice but to excuse himself. He just had to get away from her.

What the hell?!What was wrong with him?

Sure the girl- he figured he wasn't that far off his own age was attractive. More than attractive really. She was stunning, beautiful, and curved in all the right places. But so what? Garu had been surrounded by beautiful attractive women for most of his life.

Sure, he had looked before at other girls, but he never once paid them much attention beyond that simply look of admiration. Never has he had the impulse to simply touch a girl like he wanted to a moment ago or has he felt so utterly lost in sustaining his little friend down.

Shit, Garu gulped not sure if he liked these new awakening feelings or what they were doing to him. He was always so disciplined in character, and now he was starting to sense the beginning of losing control. He gets it, that he's still a young man and his hormones had to spark, it was expected, but why now, especially with her? Someone who he barely even met, and yet he still has a gut-wrenching feeling that something about her scares him and intrigues him all in one.

God- what really is the matter with him. This was all so new to him.

He hears steps walking down the hallway, and suddenly he finds himself leaning against the wall as he sees Pucca from the reflection of the fridge door putting on a black coat in the hallway.

She is humming happily, clearly cheerful, her cheeks even round up in a way that radiated something between childlike innocence and purity. Garu's heart releases a beat as for a moment Garu just stares at her through the reflection as she walks away and out of the building.

Once she's gone he finally feels like he can untense.

He swallows lightly, closing his eyes, and forcing himself to think of nothing but meditation.

Today just had been an off day for him. With what happened earlier with the mysterious red ninja and with his new secretary, this day was just unusual for Garu, but everything would be fine once he got used to his new secretary and when he figured out what the red ninja was up to. The red ninja might not even show up ever again for all Garu knows.

"Um sir? Is everything all right?" One of Garu's employees asked.

Garu's eyes snapped open. He simply nodded before going back to his office, hoping the week truly went by better than today's oddities.

Only 4 days had passed and Garu was already seeking for the week to be over. For it was going anything but good. It had been almost merciless. There had been extra work in the corporation, so much that Garu was having to spend even more time in the corporation than necessary.

The red ninja had not appeared again and Garu was as clueless as he was the day he encounter her, but the reports about her have begun to spread now. Others have also seen her and were also wondering who the mysterious red hooded ninja was and whether she was working together with the Black Ninja.

But that was not the worst part of the week, no it was her.

The girl sitting a few feet from him, in a smaller section of the room, humming as she typed the reports into the computer quickly and efficiently. Yes, she was the reason for his torment because in all those 4 days since he met her, she has been constantly flirting with him, if flirting really was the word for it. He wasn't even sure what to call it.

It never has occurred to him quite this way.

It was subtle actions and yet not so subtle. Every chance she got to get close to him, she took it from sitting next to him in meetings to accidentally brushing her hands on his in more occasions that he can count. She wore tight clothes, mostly dresses and skirts that expose her long legs, and tops that expose her cleavage much to Garu's chagrin whenever he caught himself looking unable to help it. Then there were those comments she threw around with a sexy challenging sort of way that made Garu wonder if there were double meanings or innuendoes that he was missing.

He never reacted to her attempts, a great amount of self- control he constantly had to fight for, he only kept silent, and tried his hardest to avoid her at all cost, because despite how this girl made him react, she actually was doing a fantastic job on helping Garu out. She was a working machine all the times she wasn't focusing on him. She was doing more for the company in these four days than Garu had done in two months.

Everyone even seemed to love her, including many of the men around the company, and yet Garu noticed that she did not act the same way to them as she did with him. She politely answered them when they tried to come up with a conversation, but never was she giving them suggestive winks, smiles or smirks. She avoided them most of the time, preferably enjoying having lunch by herself instead and outside the company.

Yet she had asked Garu out to eat already 3 times just today, and has even suggested eating together, in which Garu always refused.

Garu did not understand it at all, or maybe he just did not want to understand it.

His eyes quickly went back to his computer screen once he saw the slightest twist of her face towards his direction.

"Mmm it's raining outside," she murmured slyly, turning to face Garu.

Garu made a slight noise of acknowledgement but his lips never opened, they focused on his computer screen as he searched through countless encrypted files that he had to decipher, after Abyo help him by providing the databases from Sooga's police. He searched for connections that related to Tobe or the Vagabond Clan connection to him.

Tobe has not appeared in such a long time, it made Garu more than uneasy because he knows he's out there, and whatever he was doing or planning could not be good.

He had to figure out Tobe's whereabouts and plans soon. Because no matter how many bad guys Garu took down it was down to just Tobe in the end.

His ultimate nemesis.

After all, Tobe was also one of the reasons that he decided to follow this life of being an undercover ninja. He just had to defeat him.

"But it's so hot in here, don't you agree Garu?" Pucca mentioned now, and from the corner of his eyes he could see her unbuttoning the top two buttons of her shirt, and heading for the third.

Garu stiffen in his chair, his knuckles clenching as he tried to focus back on the screen. Self-control Garu, he reminded himself again hmm-ing a response of agreement. She was right, it was suddenly really warm in the room.

There was a moment of silence that followed where Garu could feel the tension, but he absolutely refused to give in and sneak a glance at Pucca.

"Do you mind if I open the window?" Pucca suddenly asked.

Garu shrugged, having already read the same line in the police report on Clown, at least 3 times without even deciphering what it meant.

He heard her get up, and head towards the window next to Garu's desk. Don't look- don't look, Garu reminded himself yet again as he could just envision the provocative position Pucca was in as she leaned up and pushed hard on the window pane to slide it open.

"Ah that feels soo much better," she said dreamily.

Garu figured she was stretching as she said this, soaking in the water droplets that were coming from the window.

He shook the image out of his head, as he clicked on a map of Sooga based on where Tobe was last spotted.

"What are you working on?"

Garu tensed, quickly right clicking out of the window just in time for his back up tab to appear.

"Cat Meow Meow Mix Supreme Deluxe Treats, only for the strongest cats," Pucca snickered leaning over to look at the computer. "I see what you were focusing so hard on. "

She giggled.

Garu straight out blush, realizing the second tab was open to a website where he ordered food for his cat. He coughed out, trying to not focus on the fact that Pucca was hovering right besides him. "Oh, uh no –" He quickly shut the tab for that one. "I was just ordering cat food for my cat."

"Oh right, how's Mio," Pucca responded a little too naturally.

"Wait- how'd you know my cat's name?" Garu frowned, now finally looking at her, trying to think of how she figured that out, he knows for sure he never has spoken of his cat inside the corporation. In fact, only those who are very close to Garu are the ones that know he has a cat, and right now Abyo and Ching are the only one so far that Garu knows know his cat's name is Mio.

Pucca backpedaled immediately, as if she knew she messed up by spilling that out. The look of surprise crossed her face before she scooped one of the water bottles from the desk, fumbling with the cap as she hesitated.

Garu waited. His stare going to the few droplets of the rain that fell on her and were dripping down her skin. But he kept his stare on her now, waiting for her to reply. He stood up from his seat, crossing his arms as he faced Pucca.

Pucca sighed, finally resigning to answering.

"Uh. Okay this is totally embarrassing but…I told you I used to live here when I was younger, I have a pink cat her name is Yani. I do remember your cat as a kitten, you're cat and my cat were like secret lovers or at least that is what I liked to believed when I was younger, especially when I saw your cat chasing after my cat, this one time…I distinctly remember watching both cats snuggling besides each other and then I…," Pucca glanced down into the water bottle not making eye contact. "I remember someone calling after Mio, and I figured it must have been yours because my uncles- I mean because someone told me that someone named Garu was looking for his black cat."

Garu noticed how serious her voice had suddenly become the closer it got to the mention of her family. Why can't he remember her if she lived in Sooga before. He knows he has seen Yani- especially around the chefs who owned the Goh-Rong restaurant or at least had owned until Garu's family took over because of a tragedy that has not been named because of how sensitive that subject was to him.

"Pucca," Garu found himself uttering her name suddenly, as her face shifted up almost as if it surprised her too. He cleared his throat a bit further before continuing. "I don't mean to intrude, it's not my business, but why exactly did you leave Sooga?"

Pucca expression turn grim in an instant as she suddenly clutched tightly on the water bottle.

"You're seriously asking me that? You-," she stepped forward but unlike before there was another fire that had sparked her to walk even further. "Out of all people, you're asking me why I left Sooga?" She gritted her teeth as now she accusingly pushed hard on Garu shirt with her finger. Garu tensed but stood his ground. "Maybe you should be asking yourself that Garu, maybe you should stop pretending that you're a perfect noble hero and face the consequences of your actions."

Garu was completely confused, he didn't understand her reaction at all or what she was talking about. Still, he could feel the anger radiating off of her, the hurt under her words accusing him of God knows what. What is she talking about, or what had happened to make her fire back this way? She was also getting a little too close as she was practically inches from his face now.

Garu realized only too late how close she had become. She was literally inches from his face and he could even feel the heat of her breath come out of her.

"You need to realize that there's more," she quieted down, her voice going softer, her eyes now dropping to his own lips. "…more to each person's story that meets the eye," and then she slowly leaned in about to kiss him.

Until his pager went off.

Garu snapped out of it and acted quickly, he gripped her shoulders with both his hands, and pulled her back before their lips could even touch.

Shit, Garu looked at the pager, reading the message and address on the screen.

Got a big situation right at central plaza by east block, come quickly. It's Doga and she's gone batshit crazy- Abyo

A second later Garu heard the sirens.

He had to go.

"I have to go," Garu explained suddenly, in which Pucca raised an eyebrow back at him. A knowing smirk was pulling right at her lips. "Can you deliver this to the front office for me real fast, I'll be right back- emergency came up."

Pucca shrugged, grabbing the papers. "Sure thing," she replied back to her cheerful voice as she twisted around and left the room.

Garu breathed out a sigh of relief, as he unlocked the secret compartment to the desk and grabbed his ninja suit and his sword. True to his namesake, he left the office without a person seeing him or at least that is what he thought.

It was pouring by the time he got out. It soaked his whole suit, but that did not stop him. He neared the plaza discreetly keeping behind the barricade that the police cars were causing to form a blockage.

"Ahaha you think you can stop me! Come at me! Rotten cops!" Doga shouted as she kicked one of the officers down the trail of stairs as she started throwing strange gas spheres that burst into green smoke, knocking the officers unconscious.

Doga was always an irritable woman, who reeked of decay. She got into fights with just about anyone, in some cases even turning violent.

Yet, Garu hasn't seen Doga go as violent as right now since that one time someone stole her laundry years ago, and that had simply been a misunderstanding as Ching had never meant to take her laundry by mistake, but Doga was about to break all of hell simply because of misplaced laundry.

Garu eyes noticed a heavy satchel that Doga was carrying. Garu hoped it really wasn't another situation with misplaced laundry.

"Doga, calm down, over," Bruce communicated over the loud speaker. "You don't want to get booked again, Over."

"Just try to book me and I swear you'll get what is coming to you all!" Doga growled back, tossing another set of green spheres around to the next set of police officers.

"Stop right there Doga! Or else you'll face me!" Abyo stepped up now.

"Or what!" She challenged.

"Or else you'll get this! Hyaaah!" Abyo leaped up and ripped his shirt.

Garu rolled his eyes, at his best friend horrible attempt.

Abyo move was over as fast as it started as Doga with her green laser beam eyes controlled Abyo.

"Or I was just kidding…." Abyo replied sheepishly right as Doga sinisterly laughed raising him up, and tossing him against the nearest building. "Jeez…take…a …jooooke!" Abyo yelled off as he was tossed to the nearest wall of the building to their left.

Garu took out his sword, figuring that he had to find a way to catch Doga by surprise, or else he will share a similar fate than that of Abyo. Right as he was about to step up when the police had caught Doga complete attention a giggled escape from above him.

Garu tensed, glancing up, his sword already pointing up to see the familiar red hooded ninja watching him from one of the stools of the building.

Just for how long had she been watching him? He hadn't sensed or even heard her approaching.

"Gosh, if you take so long to figure things out, then they'll always find a way to outsmart you," she said leaping down, more like summer-salting down until she was on the ground. Her brown eyes were so darn familiar at that moment that their eyes lock, as if he swears he has seen them in variety before.

But many people had brown eyes, it was common. But he still feels like he recognizes those eyes.

"You again. Who are you?" Garu asked, his grip on the sword tightening. He still wasn't sure whether to trust her or not.

He knew absolutely nothing about this ninja other than this marks the second time they come face to face.

"What. You expected me to disappear so fast, after first meeting. Not a chance Black Ninja," she replied snidely, cracking her knuckles. "Now pay attention and see how it is done."

"No! Wait she has…-"Before Garu could warn the Red Ninja had already ran forward. "Powers." Garu finished off, chasing right after her again. Only stopping when The Red Ninja hoisted herself up in one of the police cars, and leaped right across the platform so that she was right in front of Doga.

"Hello!" She greeted, her mask moving as she spoke.

"Shut up! Don't hello me. Who the hell are you!?" Doga shouted in return as her green laser eyes beamed and the red ninja dodge the attack by sliding down.

Doga growled, moving her laser green eyes across to try to catch her.

"Take cover! Over," Bruce shouted to the rest of the police officers as the green laser beams were hitting the rest of the police officers around. The police officers got behind the police car doors, although some unfortunately got hit and instantly were shocked in place.

The red ninja dodged each laser attack either by angling down or actually jumping up or sideways. Her accuracy and her speed were almost as extraordinary as her fighting as Garu once again caught himself staring in awe.

Just who the hell, really was this mysterious red ninja?

"Ugh! So you're fast!" Doga eyes returned back to normal, clearly frustrated. "Fine girl! See how well you do when your mind is occupied!" She dropped the bag, and retrieved a staff, chanting.

Unlike Shaman, Doga spells always tended to work.

Garu leaped forward now into the field of vision, his sword now inches from Doga face.

"Stop this now Doga," he warned one last time before he took matters into his own hand.

Doga glared in return, not even showing fear to the sword pointing at her. "I'll stop when I want to! Don't tell me what to do! Pretty boy."

Out of no where the lamp posts started moving along with other inanimate objects that started to float and shake in a peculiar green glow. The officers who had been caught in the green gas and her green laser beam shock all started moving, including Abyo. Her spell was in effect

Garu eyes darted from all the objects around him, calculating, and anticipating the wave of attacks from his surroundings.

He breathed out and smirked underneath his mask. Ready.

For a second it was absolutely still, then all at once the objects all darted forward, along with the people.

Garu moved fast. He twisted around, swinging his sword straight across, he sword cut right through the flower pot tossed at him, shattering it in half. But he couldn't focus on simply the flower pot, as he kicked one of the possessed officers down who was about to tackle him, and he twisted back around to elbow the other officer down. He sensed another object spiraling towards him, and sense another officer pointing a gun at him firing.

He tilted all the way back to dodge the bullets firing, before putting force to his legs to pull himself back up, and swipe his sword down quickly straight down on the spiraling object that was about to hit him straight in the face. Without a second more to lose, he began swiping his sword back and forward as more objects jumped straight at him. He cut through the smaller objects all consecutively, one object right after the other. Bigger objects were more difficult to cut with his sword, so he dodged as many of the bigger objects as he could. His footwork worked in synch with his movements as he took care of each attack on him, while at the same time handling the possessed officers.

"Hiya-" it was now possessed Abyo who struck a kick towards Garu.

Garu placed his sword back in his back just in time, as he managed to stop Abyo's kick with his hands. Although, he still slanted a bit back from Abyo's kick.

"Sorry Abyo," Garu apologized quietly, but still hoping Abyo heard him or remembered later, when Garu flipped Abyo's leg around, spinning him the opposite direction, and using him as a way to knock out a group of officers climbing up the stairs, knocking them down like bowling pins.

He cringed hoping Abyo wasn't to mad at him when he recovered from this. Garu suddenly felt a swish behind him, as he got pulled back abruptly.

What the-

The red ninja released him, stepping in front of him, she spun counter clockwise and kicked the object away out from him, strongly enough that the object hit one of the cop window shield, instantly shattering the glass.

Balling her hands into fist, she punched right into some of the objects, Garu gawked now. Is she insane! He knew that had to hurt.

She tilted back, and yet she looked determined as she continued punching and kicking the objects, completely deflecting them out of her way.

Garu wiped the droplets of water and sweat that had been collecting since the fighting began. Glancing away from her, he continued to take care of the police officers and the inanimate objects.

Both of them worked together to take care of the series of attacks. Never speaking a word to each other, and yet when Garu noticed she slipped up, which was rare considering how she was fighting, he stepped up to help without being asked to.

She constantly got in his way sometimes to help him out, handling a group of officers and a series of objects all by herself.

Garu huffed slightly irritated that she was protecting him, and yet he can't recall the last time anyone had stepped up to defend him before. He has been alone for so long, always looking out for himself that he simply wasn't sure how to take this sudden act of help.

Garu flipped two officers down, taking out his sword he doubled down, and swayed his sword across to a bigger pole looking object and cut it into tiny little circles when he was done.

He glanced back up ready for the next attack, but his eyes only locked on Doga.

Doga narrowed her eyes, as they begun to glow green again, focusing strictly just on her.

The red ninja was taking the most attacks that she did not notice Doga concentration.

"Hey!" Garu called out to her. "Watch out!"

The Red Ninja had turned, but it was too late, she got a direct hit from Doga laser eye beam. As soon as beam hit her, she let out a cry. She shook as Doga forced her forward.

"Not so tough are you now, rotten girl! Think you can steal from me! I know exactly what you're up to- hmph and they call me evil,"

The red ninja struggled for control despite the fact that Doga was controlling her, she still tried fighting back.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about," she challenged back, still struggling for control under her spell.

"Don't you. Haha darn sticking liar. He was here before, he tried stealing it from me-nobody steals from me! No matter who!" she growls, forcing her into the ground, as she grabbed the satchel. "I can see straight through you Red Ninja, I've seen you before with him. Don't think me a fool! I'm no fool-"

Garu took out his daggers, tossing them forward quickly at Doga.

The three daggers met their mark, as one landed right in at her wrist, the other caught her dirty coat and stuck it to the ground, while the third one cut right through the string of the satchel that she was holding, making it drop to the ground.

"Ah!" Doga screamed out in pain as her concentration on the red ninja diminish so she can take the dagger out of her wrist. She looked up back at Garu, but Garu was already next to her, tapping her head with the tilt of her sword, knocking her completely down, and unconscious.

The inanimate objects and the police officers stopped in their place, falling down into the wet ground. The green rotten aura disappearing almost instantly.

Garu slid the sword right back into the pouch on his back, before directing his attention to the red ninja still on the ground.

He extended his hand out for her to help her stand up. Much to his surprise she took it. Immediately after she got back on her feet, Garu let go of her hand. The red ninja looked as if she wasn't ready to let go yet.

"Thanks Black Ninja, I'll handle it from here, Over," Bruce stepped out, handcuffing Doga, and speaking into his walkie. "I need an ambulance here as quick as possible, Over."

Garu nodded seriously, stepping back just about to leave when he realized the Red Ninja was already running away. He knew better than to chase after her this time, but as he saw some of the residents of Sooga emerging from their hiding place, he could hear their murmurs about the Red Ninja and he knew that this truly was just the beginning of the mysterious red hooded girl.

Pucca

She stumbled into the office, biting onto her lips, as she took off her black gloves to reveal the bruised and bloodied knuckles.

"Ow," she slightly whimpered, knowing well that it was her fault for getting them into this shape, sure she was hell of strong, but it didn't mean it didn't hurt sometimes when she fought. Some of the stuff she had to punch were huge heavy flying objects.

She removed her red mask, and slipped off her suit, shaking it off, right as she heard outside the room a set of footsteps.

"Hello sir, you're here late," One of the employees called.

A familiar grunt responded back which Pucca had begun to recognize a bit too well.

"Shoot!" She cursed pushing her wet suit under the desk, wildly glancing around to look for a gateway, quickly realizing that there weren't any, as she darted to the door and locked it.

How had he caught up with her so quickly, she left way before him?

As her hands locked the door she caught sight of her knuckles again. He would see them without a doubt and what if he connected the dots.

"No," she whispered, she couldn't have that right now, especially so soon.

The door knob started to turn.

Pucca took a few steps back as soon as she heard him digging into his pants for a spare key.

She was cornered. No way out. Her eyes landed on the glass flower vase on her desk.

The key was placed in the keyhole and started to turn.

Without a second thought, Pucca grabbed the vase and smashed it into the floor, promptly falling down onto the floor right as the door opened.

"Pucca?" Garu walked in, surprised to see her, and no longer in his Black Ninja suit, although his hair was still wet from the rain.

Pucca put up an act as she cried a little too melodramatically even for her own taste, she got up slowly from the shattered glass on the floor.

Garu stepped up quickly. "Are you okay?"

Although she hated to admit it, Garu was indeed a gentleman. Much to her frustration. As if these four days haven't proven her that much with some of the things she has been trying and failing miserably in succeeding.

She has tried just about all she could think of to get him falling for her, and yet all she gets is Garu avoiding her or walking out on her, or simply at most a blush. But he is not responding to her approaches and it really was beginning to frustrate her.

Garu extended his hands to her arms to help her up. Pucca ignore the tingled that submerge in her being when he finally touched her.

"I'm sorry," Pucca murmured, cringing "I wanted to move the flower vase and I slipped."

Garu frowned in return, letting go of her once she was up. Pucca sometimes wondered if he was dumb enough to believe that, but he was always so serious in expression she honestly couldn't read him as well as she wished.

His dark eyes suddenly stared right at her blooded hands.

Pucca shifted uncomfortable. "You're wet!" She blurted out, stepping forward as a form of distraction. "We're you out there all this time," absentmindedly she touched his wet hair, finding herself suddenly caught in the action. He had such soft hair, that even though it was wet, she actually liked grabbing it.

She imagined running her fingers through his hair and imagined just how soft his hair would feel if it had been dried.

He stiffened automatically, grabbing her wrist that was holding on to his hair, about to push it off of him, but yet somehow, he stopped, simply froze as he glanced back at her.

Pucca eyes locked to his darker ones as his gazed lower to her chest as a shaky breath escaped him.

"So are you," he replied but his voice was low and with a tint of something else.

Pucca own heart reacted just by the sound of it. Oh, how she really wished in that moment that she could hear her own name come out of his lips. A real smile now spreads through her lips. This was it, she had been waiting for this. "I left the window open," she whispered, not technically a lie but far from the truth, as she lowered her own voice to sound as soft and sexy as she could muster. She stepped closer, looking back at him.

She saw Garu's adam apple bop, as he swallowed, suddenly letting go of her wrist just about to step back. But Pucca was not having it at that moment.

Something sparked within her, she tightened her fist around his shirt forcefully and pulled him back into her, as she stepped back, until she was half sitting on the edge of the desk where the flower vase had stood a moment ago.

"Garu, stop fighting it, and give in" she said firmly, at his surprise expression from her sudden actions. One hand still clutched to his shirt, while the other hand let go so she could run it up his chest, and up to unbutton his plain white shirt. She leaned in, half pulling him down towards her when-

"Freaking bastard of a best friend how could you just-," Garu's friend stepped in, completely beat up, with a cast on his left arm, but his mouth literally hanged open as he caught sight of the image in front of him.

The broken vase, Garu hovering over Pucca as she sat on the edge of the desk her hands clutching onto Garu's shirt, just about to kiss him.

Garu face dimmed instantly as he was the first to act- of course he was, he darted away from her as if she shocked him.

"This is not- We weren't-It's not what-," Garu stammered as Pucca unable to helped it, giggled.

Garu literally was the cutest when he was all shy like this. She couldn't help it or deny herself how much she enjoyed seeing him all flustered.

Jeez, how hard is it going to be to seduce Garu for crying out loud, she thought. Today apparently wasn't the day either.

She closed her legs instantly, jumping off from the top of the desk.

"Hi. Abyo wasn't it? Don't worry I was just leaving, let me just get my things," she explained cheerfully, heading back to her desk where she got a duffel bag out, taking the opportunity that Garu couldn't make eye contact with anything but the floor, and Abyo shock face at his friend to shove her wet red ninja suit into the bag without either of them noticing. She grabbed her coat from the chair.

"Well see you," She waved as she sidestepped the desk, getting the keys to her scooter ready. "See you later Garu." She emphasized extra sweetly, more for the humor of it than anything else, especially when his face reddened even further.

Dammit, why was he so fucking adorable, she giggled again, opening the door, and stepping out. Shaking her head, she tried clearing her head now that she was out. So what if he's cute or handsome or the fact that he can fight extraordinary well turned her on- that seeing him fight tonight actually made her weak in the knees- screw it all. It doesn't matter. She's attractive to him and that's a plus, but it can never amount to more than that. She frowned, placing her helmet over her head as she stepped out the corporation. She can't allow it to get farther than that.

Right as Pucca jumped in her scooter she caught another girl chasing after a white chicken.

"Wan, it's just a little rain, it won't hurt you!" The girl with pigtails and a pink Chinese dress called out, as the chicken squawked back at her, going to the road. "Come on, we got to get home! Wan!" The girl ran after the chicken not noticing that a car was coming straight at her.

Garu

"It's not what you think," Garu repeated, still blushing crimson, no matter how hard he tried to make it go away.

"The hell it isn't," Abyo spoke finally out of his shock. "Damn Garu, I know I teased about spending late nights, but damn I never actually expected that from you. I never thought I would actually cock-block you and with a woman."

"Nothing happened!" Garu yelled, beyond embarrassed. "It's a misunderstanding."

"Fucking sure man, it sure didn't look like it," Abyo laughed.

Garu grunted annoyed, wanting nothing more right now than to go home. He let his friend laughter continue as he got his own coat ready to leave.

"Come on Garu, I know you've never been with a girl before, and even if it was a 'misunderstanding' what I just saw," Abyo walked right besides Garu, not dropping it. "You got to admit for some reason she's actually into you."

Garu hmph in response. "Yeah right."

"It so obvious dude, like man, if it wasn't so obvious she was so into you since the moment you both met, I would've offered her some of this way before," Abyo signaled to himself as if he were some sort of male god.

Garu rolled his eyes annoyed, crossing his arms, but Abyo's words lingered in his mind. Not shaking away.

"But I'm a respectable friend Garu, so I'll step back, I get that she's yours,"Garu frowned, not sure when Pucca ever became his to begin with, he doubt that would ever even happen. "'Unlike you bastard! What the hell happened back there! You just tossed me into all the other police officers like a rag doll! I freaking broke my arm!" He flapped his hurt arm.

"Ah sorry about that," Garu apologized.

"Well seeing as I just cock-blocked you, on your first probable hook up with a girl, then I guess we're even," Abyo replied with a shrug.

And there it goes, the red shade returned to Garu's face as once again he constantly denied the implication. Except Garu knew that there was still a bit of truth behind it. Abyo really wasn't too far off.

He hardly slept that night. He tossed and turned in his sleep, as when he finally got to sleeping he found himself back at the office just like the previous night.

"Garu,"

He turned at the mention of his name, seeing Pucca, with her wet clothes that were undeniably see through and clung to her soft looking skin.

He stiffened, realizing that this was a dream of the night before events, but this time, his self-control-all his discipline flew out the window as she stepped forward gripping his shirt and Garu stepped up towards her to meet her. When she pulled him back, all he could think about was how he wanted to touch her-

God, did he want to touch her so badly.

He wanted to run his hands all over her, and even squeeze-suck those perky breast in front of him, that he could clearly see through the shirt and the bra.

"Stop fighting it," she said, and her lips never looked so delicious even to him as the warmth of her breath nearly mix with his own uneven breathing.

Why was he really fighting it? He thought. She was clearly offering herself to him. She wanted this.

"Give in,"

And in that moment, unlike earlier, he did give in. Fuck it. His hands captured her face, and he leaned in and kissed her strongly, wanting to taste her to challenge why he had been dreaming about her and fantasying about her. Her legs had wrapped around his torso bringing him closer to her, and his hips involuntarily jerk forward grinding into her, a moan escaped her lips, as Garu pulled apart running a hand to her right boob and he squeezed.

Another sweet moan escaped her.

He wasn't sure how this thing even worked. He's never had a girlfriend before to ever get as far as this. Yet he took possession as if he knew exactly what to do. All he wanted was to be inside her, to actually feel her fall apart because of him, he craved that connection more than anything, and suddenly he found himself unbuckling his own pants, taking his own member out, ready to put it in when-

He woke up abruptly, absolutely sweating, as his chest heaved with a heavy breath. His eye widened in surprise as he stared at the ceiling.

"Fuck," he muttered out into his empty room. What was he doing! Fantasying over a girl he just met. Since when does he lose all self of control for the pleasures of a beautiful girl. Wasn't he more honorable than that?

One thing he knows for sure- he can't ever let what just happened in his dream happen in real life, he swears on his own damn will that he will avoid any situation that could ever lead to an intimacy with his secretary.

~(laughs inwardly)
