(Allen's POV)

"Allen...Allen…wake up," I hear a voice call to me. Then a hand gently shakes my shoulders and a pair of lips kiss my cheek.

"Mm…" I bring the covers up to my chin. I want to sleep just a little longer.

"Oh? That's not enough to wake you?" a voice chuckles over me. "Well, then…"

I feel a cool hand caress my cheek and turns my head facing upward where a warm tongue licks across my lips.

…I realize that I am not dreaming. I wake up, eyes wide open to see fiery red and ocean blue eyes staring down at me.

"Well, you're finally awake now, are you? Took you long enough," Mukuro says with a smirk and teasing eyes.

I try to rub the sleepiness out of my eyes and look at Mukuro with half-lidded eyes. "Hi, Mukuro…"

Mukuro stares down at me first with a peaceful look on his face. Then his eyebrows furrow and his mouth transitions from a small smile to a concerned frown. Overall, he looks confused for some unknown reason. I sit up a little more to look at him closely. I tilt my head in confusion as well, since I have no idea what he is thinking.

"Mukuro? What's wrong?"

"What's a Level 4?"

My eyes widen slightly. Of all the things to be concerned about, I did not expect him to bring up that.

A Level 4 Akuma.

Even the sound of that makes me feel queasy in my stomach. I look away for a moment to compose myself and then look back into his beautiful eyes. They always remind me of sparkling jewels, but I do not think I can say that out loud. It would be embarrassing if Mukuro hears me say that!

"Why do you want to know, Mukuro?"

"There is little to no information about it in the books from the library; sometimes I would hear from other people's conversations about a Level 4 that attacked the headquarters. Is that correct?"

I could never forget the moment I laid eyes on a Level 4 for the first time. Its soul...so ugly...so grotesque… I could not even stand on my own two for that long because of how sick it made me. Regardless, it is important to tell him everything I know about a Level 4, just in case the situation comes up. I hope that we would not have to encounter one anytime soon, though. So I tell him anything he needs to know about a Level 4 Akuma. How it comes to exist, how powerful it is, and especially how dangerous it is.

"Even though it's a Level 4, all Akuma are the same when it comes to Akuma Oil. Don't let their blood touch you. At all. It's toxic to everyone else besides the very few people who are resistant to it. If you even let it touch your skin for just a second, it can cause you to get extremely ill and the toxin will start forming pentacles and solidifying your body and-"

Mukuro silences me by placing his slender finger onto my lips. I slowly close my mouth and look into his eyes. He looks down at me with a small smile and warm eyes.

"Kufufu...are you worried about me, Allen? Don't worry. I wasn't joking around when I was in the library. I took the time to learn anything I need to know to fend off these Akuma. I won't do anything stupid like letting their blood spill on me. I just have to make sure that I don't make too much of a mess, hm?"

I keep forgetting that I have never seen him fight before. I have seen him practice, but never actually fighting. I want to question him and his skills against an Akuma, but I could not help but trust his every word. I slowly nod and he moves his finger past my lips, then my chin, and finally along my neck. I shudder slightly at the touch.

"Hm, I just can't resist you, for whatever reason." I did not know what he means by that until he leans his head closer to lick the hollow part of my throat. I nearly jump in surprise.

"Aah! What are you doing, Mukuro?!"

"What does it look like I'm doing, Allen," he says as he whispers my name hotly into my ear with his deep voice. He starts licking and sucking on various parts on my neck and I could not help but groan at the pleasurable feeling. If I did not stop him now, he will leave dark marks all over my neck and that would be hard to explain to everyone!

"If you want, Allen, I can make an illusion of myself...so, there will be two of me playing with you and your body…"

...To be fair, I never thought of that and that is why I got caught off-guard. I have to stop him at that point to say something. I grab him by his shoulders tightly and pull him away for a moment. He looks at me with a half-lidded glare, as if he is saying to hurry up with what I have to tell him before he attacks my neck again. I gulp nervously at the thought.

"Wait, Mukuro! Before you do that or anything at all, there's something really important I want to say to you."

"Hm…? Go on."

"Well...after all this time that we've gotten to know each, regardless of it being a short amount of time, I've really come to care about you...a lot! More than anyone else! So...that's why I want to say that, no matter what happens, I want to be with-"

I suddenly get interrupted by a couple of loud knocks on the door and Lenalee's voice behind it. "Allen! Mukuro! You two have to get up and eat breakfast before the train departs!"

"We'll be right out in a minute!" I look up at Mukuro, who has on his emotionless face...yet again. "Sorry, Mukuro. It'll have to wait for now." He nods slowly and climbs off of me. I kind of miss his warmth already. We get dressed and walk out to eat breakfast before we head off for our mission.

After eating breakfast, we dress up in our uniforms and meet up with Kanda at the train station.

"Tsk. It's about time you two got here," Kanda glares as he leans against the train with both arms crossed.

"We're sorry we're late," I say.

"All right, let's go," he says as he opens the door and enters the train.

I am about to head in before I feel Lenalee's hand on my shoulder. I turn around and she ushers me aside. "So, are you feeling better, Allen?" she asks.

"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better!" I smile happily. "I'm not upset over Kanda and Mukuro anymore!"

Lenalee is silent for a moment and stares at me weirdly.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing. It's just that….you're not embarrassed or shy whenever we mention Kanda anymore."

"W-Wha-What? I-I don't know what y-you mean! I-It's nothing! …I have to board the train now! See ya!" and I run off.

"Okay! But you better tell me EVERYTHING once you come back!" Lenalee yells after me.

Once I arrive at the cabin, I notice Kanda glaring at Mukuro an awful lot. "Um...guys?" I say to break the silence.

Kanda sighs and turns to glare at me, "Well, come on beansprout and let me tell you the mission." I silently move over and sit next to Mukuro. "So, from Komui, the mission is to find the Innocence that is currently residing the the village south from France. And from what the finders are informing me, there are many casualties due to a Level 3 Akuma."

(Mukuro's POV)

I notice that Allen is sitting quietly for a second before he responds with, " Does that mean…we have to find the Akuma and kill it...before it evolves to a Level 4?"

Then Kanda takes a deep breath and says, "Yes, beansprout." The entire cabin is filled with dreadful silence and suspension.

I look around to see dark shadows looming over both of their eyes. From what I overheard in conversation, there were a lot of casualties and no one could even kill the thing. I can see that just mentioning it can put its toll on everyone. I could not help but to glance sideways to check on Allen. I cannot help but...worry for the boy. If this mission ends quickly, then it would be pleasant for all of us. The Innocence radiating from that moron is making me twitchy, even with Allen AND my trident by my side. Curse that moron. Curse him.

It is a few minutes before Kanda resumes talking, "So, Freak," he says as he looks towards me, "that means that Allen and I will find and take care of the Akuma. You, on the other hand, will go and rescue any survivors and find the Innocence."

Allen is stuck with that moron for the majority of the mission. I did not like the idea, at all, but I say, "Fine."
