Gundam Build Fighters try: Blazing
Battle two: Flare up, Blazing Knuckle!
It was later in the day at the old arcade and three friends were waiting for their former friend turned enemy Hiro Adou. They were going to show him how strong they are and that he wasn't the one carrying them though all of their battles.
"You sent him that message right Mason? Let's see if he's up for a battle!" Max growled as he brought his palms together, making a soft noise as he cracked his knuckles. The plan was for the four of them to meet up at the nostalgic arcade; the place where all four of them met and became friends.
"You really think he'll show up though?" Davis asked as he prepped his Blu Strike for battle, checking to see if all his equipment is accounted for and ready for use.
"He'll be here guys I'm sure of it he's not the type of person to turn down a challenge." Mason replied as he took out his own Strike Gundam. "I'm sure of it."
Just as the words left Mason's mouth, somebody entered the arcade, the slight groaning of the aged door announcing his arrival. The three boys turned to look and to their dismay, it wasn't Hiro but a masked stranger the same age as them wearing a mischievous grin on his face.
"I heard from a friend that you three wanted to challenge an old friend to a battle!" The masked stranger takes out his Gunpla, a customized Strike Gundam with a dark color scheme and different assortment of weapons, and set it on the launch pad.
"You're not exactly who we had in mind but sure!" Davis stated as he sets his own Strike on the system.
Eh, why not? I could use the exercise!" Max chuckled as he followed suit. Mason took the time to observe the stranger first before jumping in the action.
"Where have I seen this stranger before? He seems…familiar." Mason thought to himself.
Gunpla Battle Combat Mode Start Up!

Please set your GP Base!
All four of them set their GP Bases, registering their fighter and model identification number. The stranger's identification read as "Rex Nightshade" which obviously seemed like a hastily done bad alias.
Beginning Plavsky Particle dispersal.
Beads of light blue particles shot out from the machine and in an instant, the whole empty field was transformed into the remains of a city, with destroyed buildings dotting the landscape with debris and obstacles.
Field 07 – Ruins

The boys looked to their respective Gunpla upon the machine's command. All four of them were using customized Strike Gundams apparently.
Battle Start!
"Mason Burns, Blazing Strike Gundam. Heading out!" The Strike Gundam's blue eyes flashed as it took off from the catapult at great speed.
"Davis O'Donnell, Blu Strike Gundam. Launching!" Davis muttered as his machine followed suit.
"Max Stevens, Full Armor Strike Gundam. Let's go!" Max yelled out as his heavier Gunpla launched, causing light tremors around the virtual catapult.
"TEAM TRI STRIKE, MOBILIZE!" The three boys yelled in unison. Seeing this, Rex Nightshade only smiled as his own Strike prepared to launch.
"Rex Nightshade, Go." He muttered softly yet it was enough for his Gundam to activate and soar towards its opponents.
The three boys watched the incoming enemy and immediately thought of possible countermeasures against the opponent. Mason though, was more concerned with how familiar their opponent feels as he watched its moves.
"Where have I seen those maneuvers before I'm sure I've seen them from somewhere but where?" Mason thought as his and his friends Strikes all landed on to one of the tall standing buildings.
"I'm going take a sniping position!" Max yelled out as his Gunpla descended into the cover of the debris of the city below and took one of his Full Armor Strike's custom made long ranged Variable beam cannons and prepared it to fire. He reckons it will be hard to track him down in there.
"Hey Davis? Don't you think that guy's Strike looked familiar?" Mason, unable to shake his feeling of knowing the gunpla they were facing, started voicing his doubts.
"Mason now's really not the time we're in the middle of a battle so please focus." Davis said to Mason to get his mind back into the battle. "Hey Max see anything man?" he asked Max who was scanning the area in front of him.
"No nothing yet guys if he's going to attack he's not coming from this direction." Max answered when.
"Correct." Rex chuckled as his Strike suddenly halted just out of range of Max's Full Armor Strike's sensor range and drew out what looked like a high-energy beam cannon, aiming it at the remaining Strikes on top of the tall building.
"Darn it, move Mason!" Davis growled as he got a caution alert, he flew up into the sky going in one direction with Mason going in the opposite direction as to avoid being obliterated together in one blow. As if anticipating this reaction however, the opposing Strike immediately changed its aim and shot at the city street underneath where Max had been positioned at.
"Max!" Mason yelled out as the high energy beam swept across the street, clearing out cars, small buildings and rubble.
"I'm alright Mason!" Max called out, having evaded the blast in time, his Strike taking to the sky joining up with the other two Strikes. "I jettisoned some of my weapons but some of the armor got damaged though, but I can still fight!" he added.
"Good. Then we should huh?" While he was helping Max out, Mason noticed Davis charging in, drawing out his beam sabers to engage the opponent at close range. "Darn it Davis! Don't lose your cool and just charge in on your own!" he yelled to his friend and teammate.
"This guy's nothing I'll finish him quickly!" Davis growled as his Gunpla slowly inched closer. "This is my range!"
"Really?" Nightshade just smiled as he immediately maneuvered his Gunpla out of the way of the beam's arc and lands a solid blow to the back of Davis's Gunpla. Seeing it fall from the sky with its fighter trying to re-orient its position, he takes aim with his own rifle.
"Oh no, you don't!" In an instant, both Max and Mason's Gunpla shot at the enemy Strike, forcing it to cancel its planned attack and temporarily withdraw to put distance between them.
"Tch!" Rex Nightshade grunted as he missed his kill.
"Don't be too rash and go off on your own. I mean you're supposed to be the calm smart one of the three of us Davis." Mason reprimands his ally as he turns to the enemy Strike.
"His moves are familiar for some reason…Max! Davis! Let's use our signature move against him." Mason said to his friends over the coms.
"Are you sure?" Davis asked. "It might be a bit much on a guy like this." He added.
"True. But I want to confirm something." Mason explained. "I have a hunch."
Hearing this, Max just grinned. "Alright. Whatever you say."
The three Strikes all rose up and stood in front of the enemy Strike. Nightshade merely gave them a sharp glare. "Still not done huh? Very well. Show me what you've got!"
The thrusters on all three Strikes' fired and the three started to approach at high speeds. It was a small succession of attacks they've come up with during their maneuver trials that allowed them to overpower most enemies and move at high speeds.
"TRI—!" Max got in front, putting the remaining heavy armor in front to absorb some of the blows as well as to apply some pressure with his Strike's twin variable beam rifle.
"STRIKE—!" Davis takes up his position just behind Max, preparing his Strike's Stiletto armor piercing daggers from their shoulder mounted holster.
"BLITZ—!" Last was Mason, with a single custom Fragment beam blade aimed for a single horizontal cut.
"GO!"
The premise was simple. A simple barrage of heavy fire to force the opponent into a kill zone where the melee equipped Gunpla could finish it off. It should've been an easy win for them with this maneuver. However—
"Predictable." Rex Nightshade just sighed, moving his hands and fingers around on the controls, causing his Strike to execute a counter maneuver. As the Twin variable rifle from Max's Strike fired, he evaded it by flying upward and landing a solid kick with his foot on Max's armor, sending it crashing down.
"Urghh!" Max yelled out as his Strike was sent crashing in the ruined streets.
"Max!" Davis yelled.
With Davis temporarily distracted, Nightshade's Strike managed to close in and disarmed Davis' Stiletto armor piercing daggers by taking hold of his Gunpla's arm and landing a swift elbow to the model's main camera and torso with its free arm. Davis was knocked back as well.
"How?" Max wondered as his Strike struggled to get up; the weight of the remaining heavy armor weighing him down. "How could he read our moves?"
"He's seen it before!" Mason yelled out as he engaged in melee with Nightshade's Strike who responded by drawing his own beam sabers and parrying the larger blade. "Isn't that right Rex Nightshade—No. Hiro Adou?"
"WHAT?!" The two other boys yelled out in confusion.
"Well took you long enough." Hiro chuckled. "I even went to the trouble of putting on this silly disguise."
"Traitor! How can you do this to your friends and team?!" Max questioned.
"I was making a point." Hiro muttered as his Strike's output overpowers Mason's Strike and with a quick scissoring motion, managed to send it back. Turning to the downed Strike Gundams, he casually threw his beam sabers at their cockpits, eliminating them from the battle before they can recover.
"Max! Davis!" Mason yelled out as his friends' systems went dead. "Hiro—!"
"I just beat your team Mason! Now your next and then I'll pay Mayura a visit next!" Hiro challenged.
"Gh!" Hearing his new girlfriend, get threatened, Mason booted up the special RG System in his own machine.
"RG System huh? Hah! Finally, getting serious are we Mason good!" Likewise, Hiro cycled through his inventory and responded by booting up his own RG System. "Let's see who has it better then!" His darker Strike Gundam staring at Mason's Strike and concentrated the particles into his Strike's right fist. Mason opted to do the same and concentrate most of his particles on his Gunpla's right fist. The two Gunpla stared each other down for just a brief moment before they charged.
"FULL RELEASE! BLAZING KNUCKLE!" Mason yelled out as the particles around his Strike changed to orange while its fist let out streams of concentrated energy.
"IT'S USELESS, FULL RELEASE! NIGHTSHADE, KNUCKLE!" Hiro opted to go head to head against Mason believing his Strike to be superior to the opposing Gunpla.
"HIRO!" Mason yells.
"MASON!" Hiro yells.
"Hm, that's a bad omen." Said an eight-teen year old young man as he stopped working on his custom Black and red Strike gunpla as he looked at a picture that suddenly had a crack in it. The picture was of Mason and his three friends when they were younger holding their finished customized Strike gundams in their hands.
"What is it man something wrong?" Asked one of his friends and teammates as he walked over.
"I don't know but I think I need to pay a visit to my little brother and check on him." Said the black and red Strike Gundam's build fighter.
Meanwhile back at the arcade as the two gunpla's feet slammed on the ground, the gunpla's fists clashed the ground around their gunpla had begun to break apart and protrude upward and the arms of the two gunpla began to crack from the massive particle flow and then there was a bright flash shown through the night all that was left was the wreckage of Davis's and Max's two gunpla and Mason's heavily damaged Strike afterwards, Mayura and her friends and teammates had just made their way inside the arcade having been worried about the three boys. However, when they got there, the entire display screen only showed smoke and the glow of a single pair of cameras in the sky and as the smoke began to clear and revealed the glow the glow of one of the Strike's RG system. The remaining Strike was standing over its fallen foe.
"(pant…pant….pant….inhale) Still think we're weak Hiro." Mason said as the system called the match.
"Mason, are you alright!" Mayura yelled.
"Max, you okay we came as soon as we could." Juri said.
"Davis, are you alright?" Asagi said in a concerned tone.
As the girls checked on the boys, while Hiro tried to sneak out of the arcade only to run into his former coach Andrew Waltfeld.
"C-Coach Waltfeld what are you doing here?" Hiro said shockingly.
"Just came to see how bad they beat you, you should have known better than to think that they're weaker than you just because your (Dead end) Saga's younger brother of course that's no reason for doing what you're doing but hey if you wanted to get on your buddy Mason's bad side well congrats you just found out in that battle why he's called Mason (Blazing) Burns for and you of course Hiro earned yourself the nickname Hiro (Slayer) Adou if I'm not mistaken that right there should have been a red flag for Mason. But after this they're going to be coming for you Hiro so get yourself strong teammates at your new school because you're going to need them." Coach Walfeld said as he stepped aside and let Hiro run away from the arcade as he got onto his motorcycle and peeled out of there.
"Darn! It sounds like he ran away." Max said angrily as he slammed his fist into his opened hand.
"Yeah and he left his Strike here a well that's just like how he used to be he doesn't care about the gunpla he makes and breaks." Davis said as he picked up the remains of his Blu Strike Gundam. "He just goes and makes anew one never mind the one he broke and he defiantly lives up to his nickname Hiro (Slayer) Adou. He added as he looked at Mason.
"That may be true Davis, but no matter his reasons he turned his back on us." Mason said as he picked up his heavily damaged Blazing Strike Gundam. "He knew that our Strike gundams weren't just for the tournament but they were also a symbol of our friendship and when he did this he basically said he was done being friends with us and at the nationals I plan on finding out why." He finished as he turned to look at his friends and teammates.
"Well then we're going to need to finish the new gunpla for the qualifiers so any ideas?" Max asked as he looked at his friends and teammates as he held the remains of his Full Armor Strike Gundam.
"Yeah Max I've got the perfect idea we finish the gunpla that we've been working on for a week for the tournament." Said Mason as he walked over to Mayura and stood next to her. "But we can't finish them on our own so I recommend that we pair up and meet up at my place and finish them there that way we can finish them not only as a team but as friends too isn't that right Coach Waltfled" he finished as he looked toward the door as their coach walked into the room with Mayura's and her friends' Coach, Aisha who was well known and who was also Coach Waltfeld's fiancé.
"I heard everything Mason and your right so you all go on ahead. Coach Waltfeld said as he looked at Aisha who was standing next to him. "Got anything to say to your girls Aisha before they go to help the boys out?" he added.
"Yes Andy, I do Mayura, Asagi, and Juri don't forget that you girls have a match the day after tomorrow so don't be late ok." Aisha said to the all-girl team.
"Yes ma'am." Asagi answered.
"You got it" Mayura answered.
"You bet Coach" Juri answered.
With that the six of them left the arcade as the boys got onto their respective motorcycle the girls sat behind the boy they were with Mayura was with Mason, Juri with Max, and Asagi with Davis. They then headed away from the arcade toward Mason's house, Davis and Max before meeting there had stop by their places to pick up their new gunpla and then headed back to Mason's place where he and Mayura were getting everything ready.
"Hey Mason could I ask you something?" Mayura asked as she helped Mason place cushions on the around a table that sat near the floor.
"Yeah Mayura what is it" Mason answered as he was finishing up with his side of the table.
"Would you consider this as our first date or what huh" Mayura said with a chuckle as she finished preparing the side of the table she was working on.
"Heh, you know I guess we could consider it that or even a triple as it's obvious that Davis and Asagi has been a couple for a couple of weeks or so." Mason said as he also chuckled as he finished his side. "Okay that'll do it and just in time to cause here comes the others." He added as he heard Davis and Max's motorcycles outside and then inside the garage and they walked into the house and sat down around the table by twos and presented their soon to be finished new gunpla for tournament.
"Ok guys we've only got two days to finish our new gunpla for the tournament and before Mayura and her friends match on that day so first let's show what we got done so far okay." Mason said as brought out heavily customized HGAC Wing Gundam ZERO without its backpack, shoulder armor, regular hip armor, and parts of the torso and without the clear part in the middle of the chest all of which revealed an inner frame.
"Wow Mason you got this much done in a week, I'm impressed." Mayura said as she picked Mason's gunpla up and turned it as to see all of the work that had been done so far, and then she placed it back onto the table.
"Yeah that's cool but here's my custom gunpla I based off of the Gundam Heavyarms Kai from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz." Max said as he brought out and placed onto the table an unfinished custom HGEW Gundam Heavyarms Kai. "Unfortunately I just don't know how to incorporate all this." He added as he pulled out pieces of paper with the finished design of the gunpla.
"Impressive Max your trying to optimize Gundam Heavyarms type as a Long Range Attack type aren't you?" Juri asked as she looked the sketches over and then looked at Heavyarms Kai. "So with that said I might some ideas" she added as she readjusted her glasses.
"Okay well I guess it's my turn now. So here's my custom gunpla that I based off of the HGEW Gundam Sandrock Kai I'll warn you guys though mine isn't as completed as your guys are." Davis said as he also pulled out and placed onto the table a customized Gundam Sandrock kai from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz just without armor in key places.
"Davis, I think I might have a few ideas on how we can fix that." Asagi said as she looked at the unfinished gunpla.
"Okay everyone seeing as we're paired up with our girlfriends let's" Mason started before.
"Wait a minute Mason how do you know Asagi and I are dating and how long have you known?" Davis asked with utter shock in his voice Asagi on the other hand was red with embarrassment.
"I had my suspicions as to why you would run off on the days that we weren't doing anything but I wasn't too sure until I saw you guys outside the café holding hands so I put two and two together but my conformation was your reaction and statement just now" Mason said as he and the others were looking at them. "Personally I'm happy for you man I really am. I mean look at us the three us are dating the girls we like and we're getting ready to work on our gunpla with our girlfriends so let's get to work everyone shall we?" he finished.
"YEAH!" The others yelled.
As they worked on the gunpla Mason looked around the table and he reminisced the time when he, Davis, Max, and Hiro had finished their custom Strike Gundams for first time and the joy they all felt, from not only building, but also completing their latest gunpla at that time. Now he was doing the same thing with his two remaining friends and their girlfriends as well as with his new girlfriend Mayura. After several hours of hard work the six of them were fast asleep as a Black car with red flames on it pulled up to the house and parked outside the garage and walked inside with his two teammates/ friends as he walked in and noticed the group at the table asleep.
"Typical Mason he always goes all out with his gunpla. I just wonder who the girl is though." The young man said as he placed a blanket over the sleeping couple.
"Well it's to be expected Axton I mean he is your little brother after all and didn't you say that his dream was to be the best build fighter ever with his own team?" A young woman with blonde hair with midnight blue highlights said as she also placed a blanket onto Davis and Asagi. "Also to answer your question about the girl that's Mayura Labatt I believe one of her parents fought against you and your brother's father and I think they were friends right?" The young woman answered as she turned toward Axton.
"Yeah they were friends still are too though I don't know if they battle each other anymore or not." Axton said as he looked toward his younger brother. "But I'm glad that my little brother has a girlfriend though so let's go ahead and head to a hotel for now but before we do let's leave these guys with some words of encouragement." Axton finished after a few minutes passed the group left quietly.
After sometime had passed the sun started coming up as Mason and the others woke up from sleeping.
"Good morning Mason." Mayura said as she sat up rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Good morning Mayura you sleep well?" Mason asked as the others sat up.
"Yeah surprisingly, hm hey Mason what are those custom Gaia gundams one of them is in your custom colors did you make it I don't remember it being here?" Mayura asked as Mason picked it up and looked at it when one of his friends noticed an SD card on the table in the middle of the three gunpla.
"Hey Mason, what's on the SD man any ideas?" Asked Davis as he picked it up and handed it to Mason who was wondering where the three gunpla came from and where the sd card also came from and what was on it.
"(yawn), Well we ain't going to find out what's on it just by thinking about it put into your laptop already Mason." Max said as he yawned from waking up.
As the five of them waited Mason walked back into the room with his laptop and turned it on and inserted the SD card into it and played the video that was on it.
"Hey little brother I just wanted to stop by to check on you but I saw that you and your team are doing great, but don't worry I'll be hanging around for a while so you blaze on little brother." Axton said in the video addressing Mason which brought a smile to Mason's face. "Oh Max, Davis there are a couple of people here who want to talk to you individually ok your up." Axton finished as he left the cameras view.
"Who was my brother talking about you guys?" Mason asked as he handed the laptop to Max when.
"Max hey little brother you doing good, good I saw your latest gunpla and it looks awesome and powerful just remember what I always told ya about the whole gun-ho thing ok" Max's older brother said as he handed the camera to the third and last person and Max handed the laptop to Davis.
"Don't worry Cole I remember I won't be defined by my nickname completely" Max said with a look a determination in his eye.
"Jeez Cole why not give a lecture hi baby brother I just want you to know that I'm proud of how strong you've gotten keep going okay and never forget what I told you when we were younger a good Build fighter team is tough but a great build fighter team is smart and tough the perfect balance so anyway big sis will cheer you on chow Davis." Davis older sister said as she handed the camera back to Axton.
"I won't forget it, don't worry Tiana I'll always keep it in mind sis." Davis said as he hand the Laptop back to Mason.
"Mason, grab a pair of headphones because this bit is for your ears only little brother" Axton said as Mason paused the video and did just that. "Okay Mason I know you're going to use your custom Wing ZERO gunpla but listen no matter what the situation is, no matter how backed into a corner you are, you must not use the ZERO system with whatever systems you have added to Wing ZERO okay the reason I say this is because of your level of assimilation I just don't want you to go through a repeat of when we were younger and you were using your HGUC Blue Destiny unit 1 okay. Also I talked to Tatsuya and Yuusei Kouen asked them to send you the Amazing Levs and Caledbwlch Honoo parts for your gunpla so use'em and modify them to fit your style see ya later little bro." Axton said in a concerned manner and then in an assuring manner.
"Don't worry big bro that won't happen again not with Wing ZERO I promise you, and thanks for getting the Amazing Levs,the Caledblwch Honoo from both the Third Mejin Kawaguchi and Yusei Kouen." Mason said as he took off the headphones and looked at the box and pulled out the parts.
"Wait hold up Mason, did you just say that your older brother asked the Third Mejin Kawaguchi and Yusei Kouen to send you a pair of Amazing Levs and Caledblwch Honoo man those things are awesome." Mayura said in amazement at what Mason said.
"Yeah they are that's why I want to make a new weapon for Wing ZERO from the High-Energy Long Range Beam Cannon I mean I have a plan for upgrading the High-Energy Long-Range Beam Cannon with parts from the Caledblwch Honoo namely the beam cannon and grenade launcher from it and then I need to upgrade the Arondight Beam Sword in my own style but how." Mason said as he thought of ideas for the weapons for his gunpla
"Well I'm sure we'll come up with something Mason don't worry. Actually I might have an Idea for a beam rifle for Wing ZERO though gimme one second, hey Mason where are your other gunpla are at, or do you have a box or small bin of spare gunpla parts?" Mayura asked as got up and looked around in the next room.
"There should be a bin of spare gunpla weapons in the closet and my other gunpla should be in the display case against the wall on the right hand side Mayura." Mason answered as he turned back to face the others and continued work on Wing ZERO as Mayura came back into the room the six of them continued work on their respective gunpla only stopping to eat, drink, to use the restroom they did all this, until that evening when their older siblings stopped by to check on them.
"Well I wonder if they finished their new gunpla by now Axton." Tiana asked as they reached Mason's house.
"I'm sure they have Tiana, but we won't know until we look and besides we got a two days until the semi-finals and who knows we might have battle with our brothers new gunpla to see how strong they are." Axton answered as started to enter the house.
"Yeah right Axton you just want to battle your little brother Mason and his new gunpla just for the heck of it." Cole stated as they walked toward the room where their younger brothers were at.
"Yikes! Okay Cole you got me there." Axton replied to his friend and teammate.
As the three of them turned the corner to the room where the group was fast asleep they looked at the table and in the center of the table stood Mason's, Davis's and Max's three new gunpla the glow of the evening sun gave the three gunpla a brilliant glow.
"Well, Well they finished them in time." Axton said as he and his team took blankets they found in the room from the last time they discovered their younger brothers and their girlfriends all asleep. "I'm sure you guys will win and blaze trail all the way to the nationals." Axton added as he and his team/friends covered them all up with the blankets.
