Chapter 3 - Unexpected Results

A month had passed since Harry & Co had performed their ritual, and as Harry laid in a bed in the Gringotts infirmary, he thought back on how the last few days had been. By now he had almost gotten used to most of his new body. He no longer felt like a pervert when undressing or looking at himself in the mirror. He has gotten most of his problems regarding bathing and showering, and he could now go to the toilet without blushing.

The days that had followed after their meeting with Grimclaw, consisted of him getting all kind of different medical and physical test and examinations, all while he any results were closely studied. He had been measured, weighed, blood, urine, and saliva, along with several other of bodily fluids and by-products were taken to be analyzed. They had tested everything from his stamina, endurance, and resilience, to his strength, agility, and dexterity. After two weeks of being rigorously tested and thoroughly examined, they told him that all was left was to compile their data and evaluate their findings. Since this would probably take awhile, he free to do as he liked in the meantime. His only restriction was that he had to stay below Gringotts, and returned to infirmary each evening to rest.

Meanwhile, as Harry was busy being poked and prodded, Ron and Neville had started to fabricate a new identity and background for Harry. Although Harry had demanded chose his new name himself though, and so Rhy Majorette Rasp was born. Harry had come up with the name by simply making it an anagram of his real one. She would be a half-blood witch of unknown descent, born on 31th of July. As boys were doing that, Hermione and Luna had been busy with creating an amulet that would help him hide his more non-human features. While Ginny and Gabrielle had been busy getting him a whole new wardrobe, which was the last piece of help Gabrielle said she could help them with before she needs to return back home.

The amulet had a few very strong glamours, mixed with several strong confounds and some subtle notice-me-not charms, craved into it. They had then used Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody's magical eye to check them when the eye hadn't detected anything amiss, they had considered the amulet well done. In appearance, the amulet itself was a nothing more than a round disk, with the runes on its back and the newly created Rasp family crest on the front. The crest was a lily in the center, and a stag above it, a wolf to the left, a grim to right, and had words; 'Ego solempniter juro Ego sum contra haud bonum', written boldly under it. Which had been decided was to be the new Rasp family motto meaning 'I solemnly swear I am up to no good'.

They had then made it into a necklace by attaching it to a delicate silver chain, which was charmed to never snap or break, along with charms to prevent it from chafing or accidentally falling off. When Harry had put the amulet on, there had been no trace of any animal features, but he had still been able to feel them. Instead what you would see was a cute little girl with multicolored hair, big round human eyes, and small rounded human ear. There were some other differences as well, his hair was now less vivid and a bit more lifeless. It no longer seems to radiate the same kind of shine that it did before. His eyes had become more muddled and murky, with normal human pupils. While his skin was slightly different than before too, as it were a few shades darker with some freckles here and there.

The amulet would also suppress Harry's magic core to be just below the average for anyone at his apparent age. This was also so Harry would draw as little attention to himself as possible, just in case if someone were to check the size of his magical core. Even if they found out that his core was suppressed it would raise no brows. Since it was quite a common practice for parents to do so to minimize any accidental magic that might occur.

Harry was brought out of his musings when a pair of thin arms suddenly lifted him from behind and put him in someone's lap. And as he looked up to see who it was, he saw a pair of silvery grey eyes looking down at him with a faraway dreamy expression.

"Hello Luna, when did you get here?" he asked as Luna started to cuddle him.

"Hello Harry, I came while you were lost in your thoughts, was it anything special you thought about or were it just your usual brooding."

"I was not brooding," Harry said with a small cute pout, getting a small giggle from the blonde. "I really wasn't. I was just thinking about just how the last few days of my life have been. Another thing, what's with all the cuddles I seem to be getting from you, Ginny and Hermione lately. Not that I mind them but still."

"I'm glad you like them" Luna replied with another small giggle. "I don't know about Hermione and Ginny, but I cuddle you because you're just too cute to not to." she then added and giggled even more as she watched Harry's cheeks turn pink, which she thought only made him cuter. Which she promptly told him, resulting in his cheeks now turning red.

As Luna went back to her cuddling, the rest of his friends along with Grimclaw entered the room. When they spotted Luna cuddling a blushing Harry in her lap, Harry could feel the curiosity of Ginny and Hermione peak a bit. But before they got a chance to say anything he turned to Grimclaw and greeted him, while at the same time asked how their research was progressing.

"That's why I'm here, to present our final findings," Grimclaw said after having returned Harry's greetings. "So lets with the results from the physical examinations. We have managed to confirm that the ritual did indeed de-aged Mr. Potter physically to that of a young child, seven years and three months, to be precise. From our latest exams of him, Mr. Potter was measured to be about 4'2"tall and weighted to be 73 lbs. While your body is skinnier and a smaller than usual for a witch that age, you weigh much are more then you should be. The reason for that we have found lies in the bone structure, as Mr. Potter's bones while not thicker any normal humans, are much harder and denser than any normal human bones. He will also find it very hard to gain weight, as he now has a faster metabolism which burns up calories very quickly. Meaning he will need a huge amount of calories in order to gain any weight at all." Grimclaw then paused for a bit to let the information sink in before he then continued.

"Mr. Potter's skin has also gone through some changes as well. It's a bit thicker and more elastic than a normal human, it also seemed to have even gained some minor spell resistance. But it's really not much, only really effective against weak spells, such as the tickling charm and jelly legs curse, and maybe a weakened leg locker or full-body bind curse."

"Your senses and general fitness are above average for a peak human. Your strength and stamina are way superior to anyone your apparent age, the exceptions would be someone with either blood of a giant, a werewolf, a vampire or a troll in them. The same is also true about current base your speed and reflexes, only being inferior to that of a vampire or a transformed werewolf. Your senses are as sharp as any non-magical wolf, only the magical variety, werewolves and vampires have better. This includes night vision. Any questions so far?" Grimclaw asked as he paused again to let this new information he had just given them sink in.

"The next is your magical core," Grimclaw then continued to report when no questions were oncoming. "While your magical core is almost twice big, it's maturity equally of too that of a nine-year-old. Both your blood work and magical signature seemed to have gone through some changes as well. A blood test would still say that you are Harry James Potter, but it would also say that are related through blood with everything else that participated in that ritual."

"That doesn't so big of a change there, aren't I already related to the Lovegood's and Weasley's through the Blacks', because of my father. The only new ones would be Hermione, Gabrielle, and that wolf we caught."

"That's where you are partly wrong, Mr. Potter. While it's true you have a distant relation to the Lovegood's and Weasley through your grandmother Dorea Potter nee Black. The ritual created blood bonds linking you specifically to the witches that participated in the ritual."

"So you mean to tell me that, if someone would check my blood it would tell them I'm their daughter or something like that."

"No, it really wouldn't. It would still say you are parents are James and Lily Potter and no one else, but it would also say are closely related the other witches as well. Somewhere between a twin sister and a daughter. The only ones closer to you then them, would be your parents, and the closer the blood ties to you, the closer you would be related. Like Ms. Weasley and Ms. Lovegood would show up to be closer related to you then your grandparents."

"I suppose the reason for that is that neither Hermione and Gabrielle is not blacklisted, huh."

"Correct."

"Blacklisted," Hermione asked slightly confused, "Harry, what do you mean by blacklisted."

"He means being related to a Black," Neville answered. "Everyone else, except for you and Gabrielle, are in some way related to the Black family. "

"Exactly. Now I think we should begin with the ritual itself," Grimclaw continued as checked his notes. "We found, when went over our notes of it, that we had made some mistakes regarding it. The first of which and the biggest reason why you look like this now was that we seemed to have miscalculated somewhat on how much magic certain materials would bring into the ritual. We think this is the reason why the ritual was overcharged."

"Another mistake that was made, was not looking carefully enough at the rituals that had been combined, along with not taking in Mr. Potter body in consideration when did the ritual."

"What do you mean not taking in my body into consideration?" asked Harry slightly worried.

"It has to do with many adventures you & your friends seemed to have experienced over the years. Some of them seem too have left a permanent mark on you, which we really didn't consider at all," Grimclaw replied sensing the now young girls worry.

"But we should discuss the second mistake we did with ritual first. As I said before, one of the mistakes was a miscalculation with some of the ingredients. It was the blood with miscalculated with, it was more potent then we had expected, especially that of Ms. Delacour. Then there was the mistake of not really being thorough enough when we combined the different rituals with each other. As you all are aware of, the ritual was created to de-age Mr. Potter, along with changing his gender and slightly alter his appearance, while also granting him minor animalistic traits, correct."

"That's right," Harry conceded.

"But what we instead had created, was a ritual that was able to rewrite, remold and reshape down on a person down on a genetic level. That's why you are so closely related to everyone in ritual, add to that it was overcharged and you can see the results. You also seemed gained a very weak, barely noticeable, but quite subtle allure from veela blood flowing in Ms. Delacour."

"Interesting..." Harry replied with a curious expression.

"Then there was that problem with Mr. Potter body. It seems like you breathed in some of the ashes from when Qurinus Quirrel died. There was also lingering traces of the Philosophers Stone in your bloodstream."

"Huh... How could I have gotten traces of the stone in blood," Harry asked, "I thought Dumbeldore said it had been destroyed."

"It kind of was, I think at least... When I arrived together with Dumbeldore in the inner chamber," Hermione started to explain. "All we saw was how Quirrell was turned to ash, and Voldemort's spirit fleeing. The stone was nowhere in sight, but when Dumbeldore saw that and that one of your hands was clearly unscathed, he said the stone was now gone."

"What we think happened was that you absorbed the stone during your fight with Quirrell, and therefore it was kind of destroyed," Grimclaw continued.

"Hmm... Didn't know that" Harry somewhat shocked.

"Along with the traces of the stone and the ash. We along found some traces of basilisk poison, phoenix tears, acromantula venom and even some minor traces of unicorn blood."

"While I could understand the others. How and when did you get the acromantula venom and unicorn blood, into your bloodstream," Ginny asked curiously.

"Let me think," Harry answered. "The blood probably came from that dying unicorn that Neville and I found during our detention with Hagrid in the first year, and venom is most likely from when Ron and I followed up on one of Hagrid's clues in the second year."

"Yeah, I think I remember that time," Neville said sadly. "It was stumbling, severely hurt and bleeding heavily. We tried to stop the bleeding, but it was already too late, already have lost way to much blood. So when Hagrid then found us it was already dead. It was quite sad, really."

"None of you didn't accidentally drink any of that blood did you," Hermione asked, starting to get worried.

"No, we didn't, but I think some blood went some scrapes I got from earlier, when I tried to get to it," Harry assured her.

"I wish I didn't remember that other one," Ron said while shuddering, "after Hermione had been petrified, but before we had found the page of about the basilisk. Hagrid said if we followed the spiders, the would lead us to someone who knew what was roaming the castle. As we did so, we ended up smack middle of acromantula colony, belonging to one of the pets Hagrid had kept while he was a student there. Amongst scariest thing I ever have seen."

"Got bitten didn't he," Ginny said with a resigned sigh.

"Yes, he did, and only him to. He had spent time in the hospital wing for that," Ron replied, equally resigned.

"That's enough of that for now. Let's get back on the subject," Hermione said, turned attention once again back to Grimclaw.

"It would seem that thanks to the ritual, all of these different traces are now fully incorporated into Mr. Potter blood. That along with the blood from the wolf and the witches that participated in the ritual makes Mr. Potter's blood quite an interesting concoction. If anyone would get his blood into their bloodstream in any way, it would trigger something similar to what the muggles call the superman syndrome."

"What's the superman syndrome," Ron asks confused.

"You know how when a person is put under both extremely physical and mental stress. Like in a near death situation, some time seems to slow down for the world around you. That is what is called the superman syndrome," Hermione explained.

"That's correct, Ms. Granger. We have confirmed that just one drop Mr. Potters blood is enough for a normal grown human male to be effective for a minute, and it also seemed to have an instant effect to," Grimclaw added. "The other effect that Mr. Potter strange blood mixture had on himself was that Mr. Potter is now immune against all known poisons, toxins, venoms or drugs, whether they are natural, synthetic or magical in origin."

"Although the bad part of that is no muggle medicine whatsoever works either," Grimclaw then continued. "Mr. Potter can also never get drunk nor ever get a hangover. Another bad part is that all potions used on him are less effective, and some of the lesser ones won't work at all."

"So in exchange for that he can't be poisoned or drugged, no muggle medicine and some potions will not work for him, huh," Neville stated.

"That is correct, Mr. Longbottom," Grimclaw replied. Before he then started to go into more detail on all his changes, but Harry only heard very little of that, as he soon fell into a deep slumber while still being on Luna's lap.

The day after Harry had gotten the rundown of his new body, he got a new shock. While he knew his core had de-aged and shrunk greatly, he had been devastated to finding out he barely could use magic, as his core was still too immature to anything really advanced. His stunners and disarming charms were had gotten weak. The Patronus charm was now beyond him, he could barely make it corporal, and only for a few seconds. Right now all he could use it for was sending messages, it was quite useless otherwise.

His occlumency on the other hand, fortunately, seemed to be unaffected. He was also still an animagi, much to his relief, though his animagus form seemed to have reverted to childhood as well, along with changed its colour scheme. Harry's animagus form was that of a small fox which had a reddish brown, almost blonde fur. The eyes of the fox had vertically oriented pupils and were in light green colour with a silvery sheen to them.

It was a magical type of fox, called kitsune It is much smaller than a non-magical fox, but it's quicker and agiler then its non-magical relative. It also had a bit larger ears and nine tails and were most often found in the far eastern reaches of Asia. The kitsune are by nature tricksters, with a natural affinity for illusions and mischief. Having the ability call up black purple illusionary flames, which they used to craft the various illusions and glamours, which in their many pranks.

But what Harry really like about the kitsune were their ability to shift and fade. Shifting was an ability akin to apparition somewhat, expect there really weren't any known wards against it, and it's completely silent. Another difference was that to able to shift somewhere you had been there before, so couldn't shift blindly like could with apparition. You also had to have a clear picture of where you wanted to shift before you could so, which made it hard to use it in battle. Fading, on the other hand, was an ability that allowed a kitsune to hide its the senses of anything around them, but only as long as the kitsune didn't move at all. It would completely erase all sounds and smells, even the very presence of kitsune would be erased. Although it didn't actually make the kitsune invisible, instead it would be like, you could stand right beside, but your mind just wouldn't register that it was even there, as long as it was faded.

They had all managed to achieve it during his fifth year with the help of Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. But Harry had been the first amongst his friends to have achieved the animagus transformation. He had been given nickname Nine-tails, after Sirius proclaimed that this was nature way of telling him that he was a natural born prankster, when they found out what a kitsune was.

Luna had been next one complete her form, closely followed by Ginny, but when they all first seen it, no one had known what it was. It looked like small fox-like creature, about the same size fennec fox. It had dark mottled dirty blond fur, and what looked like a small horn above a pair silvery grey eyes. Its tail was actually as big as the rest of its body, like a mass of dark dirty blonde fur that stuck out wildly. Luna was the only who had recognized it, proclaiming that it was a Crumple-Horned Snorkack, and no one had dared to disagree.

Like the kitsune, the snorkack had something akin to apparition, that Luna called popping because of the popping sound that was produced when it was used. Like shifting this had no know wards against it. Another ability that the snorkack had, which seemed to be some kind of self-defense mechanism. If it felt worried or threatened, it seemed automatically be able to change the way how others perceived it. Which would explain why so few had ever seen it and even fewer knew of knew of its existence. And because of Luna's snorkack form was so similar to an actual fox, Sirius had given her the nickname, Vixen.

Ginny's form had also been troublesome finding out what it was. It looked like a great white wolf with pronounced crimson markings across the body, it had a long mane of white fur, and a tail shaped almost like a calligraphy brush. Its skull was large and formidable, with long, curved canines, and the body dimensions were similar to that of grey wolves. After much research, they found out that she was ancient and rare species of magical wolves, know as Spirit Wolves.

They had gotten their name from their ability to do some called something called phase shifting, which in essence simply was a self-defense mechanism. When they did this nothing could interact with them in any way, nor they couldn't interact with anything. They also gained the ability to move through solid objects, and no senses but the sight worked to detect them. The same worked in reverse, as while phase shifted the sense they could rely on was their sight.

While this could be in practical tight spots as they couldn't be hurt anything, but it also meant they couldn't eat or drink anything while in this state. People of old had thought them to be spirits or messengers from the other side, because when they phase shifted, their edges and contours blurred and they became slightly translucent. Giving them ghostly and ethereal appearance. Thanks to that Ginny had gained the nickname Spirit.

Hermione on the other hand, was the only of the girls who didn't turn into some sort of magical animal. Her animagus form was that of an Iriomote wildcat. It was bigger than a house cat, with a longer and more narrow skull, and wider paws. Her eyes were a light amber colour, and her nose is large and flat, with no fur covering the reddish-brown skin. Her fur was mostly dark grey and light brown, with the hair on the stomach and insides of the limbs being lighter. She had gotten the nickname Paws, after much protest.

Like Hermione, Neville and Ron both had non-magical animal forms. As none of the guys, bar Harry, had a magical animal as an animagus form. Neville's animagus form was the biggest of them all. It was a species of bear, called a sun bear. It gained its name from the bib-shaped golden patch on the chest, which legends says represents the rising sun. It had a stocky, muscular build, small ears, a short muzzle and extremely long claws. He had a sleek, black coat was short, but was also thick and coarse. The nickname that was bestowed on him, much too his dismay and many protests, had been Sunny. But Sirius had been quite adamant with the name, with arguments like since he was a sun bear it was only natural that his name was too be Sunny.

While Ron's form was that of a Tasmanian devil. It had a squat, thick build, with a large head and a tail which is about half his body length. His forelegs are slightly longer than his hind legs, the fur was black, with irregular white patches on the chest and rump. He had been given the nickname Taz, which had taken from a cartoon Hermione had seen from when she was a child.

They had called them self the Fellowship of the Fox since Harry was their leader, and his animagus form was that of a fox. They had been the bane Death Eaters and their ilk, during the war, and they were planning to be that again.
