"Where is Bella?" Asked Jasper, as he threw me a beer. If coach, my dad, found out about me drinking I'd be off the team. I think he knows, he just can't get me in trouble unless he catches me. Besides, a couple drinks every other week isn't a big deal. Well I guess when you're underage it is. Oh well, too late, I'd already opened it.

"Yeah where is my little hellion"

"She's at the McCartys house. I guess Alice invited her. She was gonna say no, but I told her to figure out what was going on. I don't know. I saw her car drive by earlier." Rose answered.

"Hmm. Well Edward, how's your mom? My mom is like, so confused about her pregnancy. They're like 60."

"Jasper my mom is 48 and my dad is 50..She's on a strict diet. I guess being pregnant at such an older age is really high risk. I don't know. Dad watches her constantly. God forbid she lift a stack of pans. My god I wonder if he was like this when she was pregnant with us."

"Do they know if it's a boy or a girl yet?"

"Well they said they didn't want to find out this time. But I think Carlisle went in after an appointment and found out. You've all access when the Hospital is yours. Anyway, she's like 4 months on. They said that if they have a girl they were calling Her Sophie and if they have a boy it's going to be named Adam."

"Aww those are cute." Rose gushed.

"So, should we wait for Bella or should we start the movie?" Jasper, so eager. We were watching pitch perfect. It was his choice of movie tonight, we alternated weeks, and as always, he chose Pitch Perfect. We, as in Rose, Bella and I, usually tried to pick out new ones or ones we haven't seen in forever, but Jasper, his favorite movie was Pitch Perfect. He said it's because of the "hot girls" but we know that he just likes musicals.

"No, Bella would be pissed. Just hold your nuts till the movie starts. Lets play a board game! Mom! Did you ever get rid of life?" Her voice drifted off as she walked upstairs to the Kitchen. I loved when she walked in front of me. Her ass was prime picking.

"ouch" I said when an empty soda can hit me on the nose.

"Stop ogling my sister pervert."

"Stop telling me to stop ogling my girlfriend, asswad."

"Assward"

I tackled him to the ground, and we wrestled for a while, before we had to stop because rose broke us apart. "I'm the red car!" She said.

"Blue"

"Green Edward why do you always get the blue..?"

"Because, crybaby, I'm older and therefore have more say."

` "Stop acting like children."

"Edward you're literally only 17 days older than me."

"You were born in November Jasper, I was born in October. Different months, don't count days."

"Stop! Let's just play. I'm going career this turn" Ah Rose, Always the median. My lovely girl was always the one to calm everyone down. But don't get her in a fuss, or you'll likely end up with a black eye. Believe me, I know firsthand.

….

"Oh Bella! Hello!" Gia played off her misconceptions badly, thinking she could just pretend. Her husband just mouthed "sorry" to me. Whatever, he probably felt the same. "Emmett son, come eat with your" she struggled, "friend" she grimaced. She hated me, and only because I was lucky to be "rich".

"Actually," I intervened, "I'm not his friend anymore. I'm his girlfriend. Pleasure to be at your house Mrs. McCarty." I don't know what came out of me. I knew I wanted to be his girlfriend, but I think I just wanted to prove she couldn't control me, or her son.

A plate crashed, a baby was almost dropped and two excited screams were heard. "Emmett!" was heard all at once.

"Uhm…Yes. We are. And I'd be happy if my parents could be kind enough to let her stay. Her parents would for me.." He was guilt tripping them. He was perfect for me.

"O-of course you can dear. Please sit. I'll make a spot for you. Right over here." She sat a plate down roughly, slamming a fork and knife there. "Sit please, while I clean this mess up."

I sat down, and Emmett went to sit next to me, however, Gia moved him over to the other side. Wow. "No Emmett dear please help me feed Carl tonight. Make sure that Derrick eats his peas yes?" Well, at least they were concerned about their children's wellbeing.

Dinner was served. It was chicken alfredo, angel hair pasta, and an assortment of vegetables. "I hope you like chicken Isabella." Emmett's father, Roger I think, at least didn't show his hatred for me outright.

"We don't eat chicken much at my house. My dad hates it. He got salmonella once form it. I love it though. Thank you."

"So, Bella, tell me. How is it, living the lifestyle you do." Gia made it sound like I was a lesbian or something. I mean, "lifestyle" you can't just say "how's it being rich" My god.

"Well, it's great I guess. I don't know. It's the only ways I've known so I don't know what it's like to live without having money."

"You mean not getting whatever you want?" the younger girl said to me. Ah the innocence of a child.

"No," I laughed, "I don't get everything I want. I just meant never having to worry about things. Like bills and food and stuff I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't get whatever you want?" Alice was curious. I think she just wanted dirt on me.

"Well my dad and my mom think we should work to earn things. Like, they were really young when they had my brother James, and they worked their way to the top. By the time Edward was born 15 years later, they were well off on earned money. Then my great grandpa died, and left them a large sum of money. They used that to buy the hospital and start construction on the house that we live in now. Money wasn't just thrown to them, and it's not to us. I have to keep my grades up, or I get my laptop taken away. I work to put money into a fund for me to live off of after I get out of college. That's all me."

"Cool" the two young ones said at the same time. "So, how much money do you have?"

"The money that I've earned..Well I started working at the country club when I was 14, then I went on to the restaurant, so from then I have about 10000 dollars saved, if, that is, I haven't spent any of it or I've done my calculations right."

"What about your family?" Gias family was so nosey. I don't think that's any of their business, personally.

"Personally ma'am, and excuse me, but I don't think that's any of your business. I will, however tell you that the hospital is worth about 1.4 billion dollars."

"Oh my lord. Is that what it makes?"

"No Mrs. McCarty, when my father bought it, it was about 1.9 million, they used a loan, and then they added floors and additions and it became a renowned medical place. Now, if they were to sell it, it'd have been for no less than 1.2 billion." I was leaving it at that.

"Bell, what is your plans for tonight?" Ah Emmett, my now boyfriend, was such a sweetheart. He could tell I was uncomfortable.

"I'm going to Jaspers for a movie. It's something we do every week."

Dinner was relatively calm, until the subject of my car was brought up.

"Mom, will you buy me a car?"

"No"

"But mom-"

"Alice drop it we can't afford it."

"But Bellas parents bought her car for her." Oh my god Alice really.

'Well Alice, let me enlighten you. Not every person in the world has money tress in their home. Not every person has a 1.4 billion dollar business under their toes, not every person went to a prestigious college, has 6 cars worth 40 grand, not every person has the luxery of being a spoilt brat." That's it.

I slammed my hand on the table and stood up, my chair clattering on the floor beneath me. "Listen Gia just because you're jealous you didn't get to marry a billionaire or go to college doesn't mean that you have to be a total bitch about it. I mean come on! You're what, late thirties? For one, my parents are older than you, for two, my family has had money for years. Years and years, probably far enough back to say, you ancestors were slaves to ours. Wanna know what though, my mom's grandfather lived in the Great depression, and he was flat broke. I believe he had 49 cents to his name. Imagine that life. Now, he was able to get back up on his feet, only because the generosity of a shoemaker to give him a job. He became so good that the shop got handed down to him, resulting in millions of dollars over the span of his life. You think that we just were handed our money? No. My family has worked hard for ungrateful sons a bitches like your family, who stoop low enough to rag on other people who are luckier than them. I lucked out on the family I got. Sorry that you didn't get to be so fortunate. Be grateful you have a fucking home, and food, and a son who's dating a spoilt brat rich child because maybe, if you had been nice to us, we would have helped you through these tough times in return! God knows my father's done it before, and he's perfectly willing to do it again! You think I have such an easy life? Try having a father that works all the time, and was hardly home when you were little. Try having a mother who tried, but failed to make it to all my ballet recitals, because she was taking care of my sick brothers, you think, that because my family has money that we don't have problems? I almost lost my mom to a suicide attempt after she gave birth to a still born. They almost got a divorce because of it. Now, next time you pass judgment, think of the people behind the façade. We are humans, more human than you are. Pretty sure I was raised better than you're raising these kids because my parents are loving to those around them. They actually bring love to our home. They help people. Hell, if my dad gets time he likes to take us to the homeless shelter with supplies and give the people a nice home cooked thanksgiving dinner and coats for winter. He puts 20 dollar bills into every cup, jar and donation thing he passes. Whether it be spent on alcohol, or for a child in his cancer ward. He does it because he likes to help people. Have you ever donated a million dollars to charity? Oh I bet not. Ever donated to the breast cancer association? Well I have, and my father has. I bet your mother never had breast cancer. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have loving friends who want me in their home waiting for me in the safe gated community. I'm safer then you'll ever be. Thank you for dinner, it was wonderful. Goodnight."

I took a deep breath and walked out the door, probably not able to see my boyfriend ever again.

"Bella wait." Said boyfriend called. "I'm so sorry for my mother. You're such a brave person. Have a good night. I'll see you tomorrow yeah?" He kissed me on the lips twice and held my door open for me.

I didn't realize I was crying until I saw mascara on my hand. "fuck" I said.

…..

I ignored the first two calls from my phone, enticed in the game of life. I swear it's like monopoly. You can't ever come out unscathed.

"Honey, answer your phone please" Barbra, Roses mom, asked me.

"Hello?"

"Edward, it's me, Emmett. My mom said some things tonight, and Bella lost it. She was crying when she left. I just wanted to tell you that she was on her way and to have something ready for her."

"Thanks Emmett, much obliged." I sighed as I locked my phone. "change the movie to Harry Potter" that was all I had to say, They knew something was wrong, because we only watched Harry Potter when sad and needed cheering up, or when we went through our bi monthly obsession. They knew it was obsession this time, because we would have already been watching it. I went to the kitchen to get some vodka, shot glasses, popcorn, M&Ms and ben and Jerrys.
