Alpha and Omega: The Accepted
Sirius' POV
"Conrad! Conrad! Where are you?!" I called out, looking around for the canine.
I knew how he felt, he never liked being picked on because he was a dog or blind, but he hated being pampered because of the same reason even more. I could imagine why he was so angry and it was probably best if I just let him blow off some steam. But, I couldn't stop wanting to help him get through this, I mean, isn't taking care of your friend during times like this part of being friends? I already knew what would happen if he thought that I was babying him. He'd kick my ass.
But I had to find him and help him through his troubles, thats what true friends do.
Conrad's POV
"Calm down, calm down, Conrad" I told myself, walking around in circles and taking deep breaths.
That whole situation with that Sammy character had me fustrated and on the verge of killing something just to let my anger out, but I could never do that, I hate killing. The very thought of ending something elses life was sickening. I've seen the world and the beauty that it has and I couldn't deprive anyone or anything of that beauty. It would mean cutting their ties with this world.
I groaned, falling down on my back and just thinking about my situation. I was at a party full of wolves that I didn't know, everyone was worried about their relationship problems or the pranking of others, either way, I felt as if I was being left out. Then there was Sammy, who hated by guts for being a dog, the only bright side to him was that he didn't seem to care that I was blind. Then again, he was probably too stupid to know that I was blind.
"Gah, what are you doing here?!" An angry growl sounded.
I recongized the growl as soon as it hit my ears, it was Sammy. I instantly felt the sudden fear of being killed and I attempted to get up but before I could, I found myself pinned down, feeling his paws on my chest and keeping me down, growling on top of me. I struggled, feeling that my life was in danger and wanting to get away from him.
"Where do you think you're going, Mutt?" He grumbled.
"Well, I was trying to get away from you!" I answered, growling back at him.
"Exactly where I go to blow off some steam?! Why are you following me?!"
I growled and tried to kick him off of me but it didn't work, he my hind legs couldn't find a good spot to kick him, they grazed him at best.
"Why would I ever follow you?! I don't like to waist my time"
"You're stalking me, why?"
"I told you, I wasn't stalking you!" I growled, pretty sure he was purposely ignoring me.
As we continued to argue, we became unaware of the two approaching wolves that eventually just sat down and watched us bicker. I was too caught up arguing with Sammy to even notice that they were close enough to touch us. That was until we heard one of them make a remark.
"Awwwww, I think they're gonna kiss!"
Hearing the sudden voice, I recongnized the voice as David's it sounded like he was trying to mock me by making it a cute voice, almost pup like. He was probably standing there with Marshal, I heard the steady laughter of someone else, he was quiet, however, after the steady chuckle.
"Shut up!" Sammy and I said, then turning to each other and growling.
"What are you two doing? It really looked like you guys were about to kiss" Marshal agreed, confirming my suspictions that he was here.
"I wouldn't know, the perv was probably getting close to my muzzle and I didn't even know it!" I growled, turning in his direction.
"The last thing I would kiss, is a dog, let alone a male dog" He argued back, making the word 'dog' sound like it was a disease ridden word.
"Okay everyone, lets stop with the nasty talk, Sammy, get off of Conrad" David ordered.
I felt Sammy suddenly get off of me, obeying David's orders. I got up as soon as I felt the weight off of me, fixing my messed up scarf and feeling Sammy's eyes on me the whole time, I could tell he was glaring at me from the constant scoffing that he gave when I fixed up my scarf.
"Sammy, I want you and Conrad to get along for the sake of everyone here, so..." I swear I could have heard the smirk grow on his face "You two, will be bunking together in the same den"
I felt my heartbeat skip, I had to replay the message I got in my head, wondering if David was going insane. Sammy and I began yelling at the same time, to such a high pitch and so fast that our words got mixed together and probably went unheard by David. I just hope he got the message that nether of us wanted anything to do with the other, let alone have to stay in the same den together.
"Okay, I caught like none of that, but I have a feeling you two are in agreement with me" David said, starting to walk away.
"David! Listen! No matter, what you say or do, I am not going to be sleeping anywhere near this mutt!"
Sammy's POV
"Damn..."
"I told you I could get you two to come with me!" David cheerfully exclaimed, looking at The Mutt and I as we sat on opposite sides of the small den.
"Well, when you have wolves such as them as friends, its not hard to see why" Mutt replied, reffering to the two hulking wolves in between us.
These two were friends of David's that 'just so happen to be close by when we refused to follow him. They carried us half way on their backs before we agreed to follow David and Marshal to the den that we would be using, but they still accompanied us the whole rest of the way.
"By the way, thanks guys, that really helped out" David thanked, smiling at them.
They said their 'your welcome's and exited the den, leaving the four of us alone to probably argue.
"I hope you don't think that I'll actually come to this den at anytime" I informed, glaring at him and contemplating on beating the crap out of him when we were alone.
"Oh, you will, otherwise...I'll have you two locked up in a...cage we'll say, and then I'll leave you two in there until you become best friends, and trust me, I know where to get one" David said, smiling as if it was a nice thing to say.
We both gulped, wondering if he was serious but then I remembered David never jokes about things like this, if anything, he would rather have The Mutt and I in a small cage and have us talk it out rather than giving us an option.
"What about me?! I don't want to be anywhere near him!" Mutt growled "I'm not like him, I'll do whatever I want to!"
David smirked at him, with what looked like almost too much intent. I felt my tail wag, excited to see what David was going to do to The Mutt. An all too satisfying chill went up my spine at the mere thought of The Mutt getting yelled at and scolded.
"Listen, Conrad, I could talk to Sirius and your friends and he will probably agree with me when I say that it would be much better if you and Sammy were to get along, heck, I'll go find him right now if you would like that" David offered, smiling at him.
"This sounds like blackmail..."
"I wish I had something to blackmail you with, but I don't, so I'll ask you kindly to go along with my plan. I need your help with something, something that I will discuss with you in a later time, that only you can help me with. Could you please help me out?" David asked, then turning to me and glaring.
I had a weird feeling that I knew what it was he was reffering to, something that only a Mutt like him could help him with? David was planning on getting The Mutt to help me with my ordeal with dogs. I glared back at him, giving him the same look that revealed I knew about his little scheme. But my look was also one that displayed defiance. I wasn't going to go along with it.
"If you tell me what it is that you need help with, I might consider it" He mumbled, turning the other direction.
"Later, I promise, I just need you to trust me on this, please" David begged, looking at me again.
"Fine, but I reserve the right to decline at any time I see fit, I don't want to be screwed over by this deal" The Mutt offered, he may have been and a dog and I hate him but he was pretty smart I'll give him that.
"Of course, I wouldn't want you to be bound by your word to a wolf you met only yesterday, it wouldn't be reasonable" David agreed, nodding "I'd like to start by having you two stay in this den for an hour and just...talk...could you two do that without killing each other?" David questioned, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Not a chance, if you keep me and that sorry excuse of a canine in here I'll kill him the first chance I get"
"Or, you'll get laid out on your ass, like the first time you attempted to hurt me" The Mutt spoke up, smirking at me.
I growled and walked towards him before being stopped by the presence of a paw on my shoulder, turning around, I saw the black furred paw lead up to the familiar face of Marshal, shaking his head at me at my approach towards the dog.
"Okay, Marshal, could you stay here and watch over them?" David requested, looking at him.
"Yeah, Sammy shouldn't be a problem, but I'm pretty sure Conrad might be a little of one if he chooses to be" Marshal responded, looking at the dog.
"If Sammy doesn't attack, I won't" The Mutt answered, smirking at me.
I glared at him, even though I knew that he couldn't see, yet, I felt that he was glaring back at me. I hated him. I let out a small and quiet growl, knowing he would hear while the others didn't.
"Good, so then, I'll let you two get aquainted, I'm going to go find Conrad's friends and tell them of the arrangement, if they disagree with it then I'll cancel the agreement right away, I'll bring Sirius here shortly so he can see you" David announced, leaving us with Marshal, although The Mutt and I might as well have just been alone, considering how quiet he was.
I growled and looked around, avoiding looking at The Mutt all that could. I growled whenever I caught a mere sight of him. I felt my paws start to move towards the entrance of the den, but my mind stopped them. I wanted to leave, but, if I did, I would end up just in a worse situation with noting but him to look at.
"Marshal, you can go now, I promise I won't hurt him"
"I would, if I actually trusted you" He responded, looking around and finding a nice comfortable spot before laying down there, putting his head on his paws and observing us carefully and making sure we didn't kill each other.
I sighed and looked at the dog, trying not to growl at him at just the sight of The Mutt. I could tell that he was doing the same thing, trying not to make any negative gestures. Seeing the long piece of fabric around his neck as he adjusted it, I grew a face of disgust as I examined it. There was something about it that made it look human made, I knew it, and I didn't like it.
"Whats with that stupid thing anyway?" I asked, trying to sound like it wasn't an offense.
"What?" Mutt asked, ears perking up.
"The thing around your neck, what is it?" I asked again, getting impatient already with him.
"Oh, this?" He responded, holding the fabric up "It's a scarf"
"A scarf? What kind of stupid thing is that?" I asked, shaking my head
"Its something humans wear, to keep their necks warm" He answered, fastening it around his neck again.
The way he took care of that thing, that human invention, it pissed me off beyond belief, but what can you expect from a pet? Their lazy, spoiled rotten, domestic...they don't deserve the name we share as canines.
"If its something humans wear" I started, hissing the word 'humans' "Then why do you have one around your neck?"
He heard the malicousness in my voice, glaring at me and letting a small growl escape his throat. He was probably worried that I would try to take the scarf from around his neck but I knew better. As much as I'd hate to admit something like this, the dog that stood before me could easily kick my ass, or lay me flat on my ass like he told me he would.
"I got it from my Mom, when I was just a pup" He answered, touching the cloth and growing a slight smile "Its the only thing I have from her"
"Your Mom? Is she..." I trailed off, not wanting to offend him by saying the word.
He nodded and clenched the fabric tighter in his paw before letting go gently and letting it fall losely around his neck, turning to me.
"You know, that almost sounded sounded sincere" He chuckled.
"It was, stupid dog" I mumbled, looking away with a small smirk on my face.
He and I laughed, it was stupid as to why were were laughing, but, we actually got along for once in the short time that we knew each other. I didn't even know it was possible for me to get along with a dog, but apparently it was so. I might actually start to like this wolf. But I doubt it.
David's POV
I sighed to myself, finally, I got those two to be together without killing each other. Or, at least I hoped they wouldn't kill each other. Only time would tell if that were true, if I went back and they were at each others throats I guess that counted as a failed experiment. I frowned, it was such a big ordeal and now I was stressed out.
"I miss my Honey..." I whimpered to myself, imagining his cute little angry face.
"David!"
My ears perked up, I turned around quickly, my tail wagging behind my furiously, thinking that I had heard my Louis but instead I turned around to see Sirius with Drake not far behind him. Not that it was a bad thing, I just wanted to see my Honey again.
"Sirius, what is it?" I asked, frowning a bit.
"Why do you look so sad? What happened?" He replied, answering my question with a question.
"Nothing, I was just expecting someone else when I heard your voice" I retorted, looking down in response.
Sirius knew who I was expecting, I could see that he did when he rolled his eyes. I guess I was starting to get predictable. But what can you expect when you're in love? You're bound to want to see that loved one all the time. Thats how I was with Lou, and no matter how much he denied it I knew he loved me as well.
"Well anyway, I was wondering if you've see Conrad? I've been looking for him" He answered, sighing. "I can't find him anywhere"
"I know where he is, he's in a den with Sammy and Marshal" I replied, looking around to see if I could find my beloved Lou.
"What?! With the wolf that just tried to kill him?!" Drake asked, growling quietly.
"Yeah, don't worry, Marshal has it all under control"
They exchanged glances and requested to meet him. I however, had different plans, I wanted to go see my beautiful Louis. He was probably missing me something fierce and I didn't want to keep him waiting. So, after a while of trying tell them the exact directions to follow to get to the den where Conrad and Sammy were held up, they departed to see their friends.
Although, I probably should have told them that I'm terrible with directions.
Louis' POV
"I think I might kill him" I contemplated, thinking about David's need to cuddle with me.
"You know, you make this way worse than it needs to be" Lucas replied, rolling his eyes.
"No, I seriously think I might kill him, and I'm starting to work out a plan to" I continued, drawing a picture just outside of the den.
The twins walked over and sat on either side of me, looking on as I drew the drawing. It was sloppy, childish and hard to see but it showed me luring David to a cliff and pushing him off of it. The twins looked at me as if I were crazy and backed away slightly.
"He's not a bad guy Louis, I don't see why you would go to such lengths just to keep him from rubbing up against you" Marcus said, watching as I finished the picture.
"Thats the problem with him! He's a guy! I don't like him rubbing up against me like that!" I growled, pointing at the picture. "This is how I'll get rid of him"
"Get rid of who?" David asked, walking up to us.
He then proceeded to look down at the picture and I scurried to cover it up, wiping away the sand that had the plan on it. But, I could tell he saw it. He looked back up at me and whimpered, his ears going down against his head as he gave me the saddest look I've seen on a wolf.
"L-louis? What was that?" He whimpered, looking at me.
"It was nothing!"
"Was that you and me?"
"No! It was Lucas and Marcus!" I argued, nudging the twins with my elbows, only to have them back away.
"Nope, staying out of this one Lou, sorry" The informed, backing away entirely and joining their brother in talking with Glacier, their eyes settled on me as they talked.
The awkward silence between us was insatiable, I could feel his dispare at the picture he saw and the way that he was remaining so silent was making me uneasy. It brought me back to the time when I asked him about the pups being orphans, his expression was on that I couldn't get out of my head and stil can't. I felt so bad, just like I did now.
"It was of me and you, wasn't it?" He asked, quietly.
I nodded, drawing small circles in the sand as a sign of nervousness.
"Was that me falling off of the cliff?" He continued.
I nodded again.
"Lou..." His frown turned into a sudden smile "I'm so happy!"
I shook my head, wondering what I had just heard. He walked up and hugged me tightly, burrying his head into my fur and from over his shoulder I could see his tail wagging. His soft fur soothed me, that was one of the things that pissed me off about him, he had a way of calming me.
"You were thinking about me so much while I was gone! You missed me!"
"You're insane!" I growled, blushing a little bit as he pushed me onto my back and he got on top of me.
"I can't hold it back anymore, I want to kiss you!" He said, smirking and leaning down towards me.
I cried out 'No', but he didn't stop, instead, he got closer and closer until our lips almost touched. I turned my head just in the nick of time, making him kiss my cheek instead. I blushed harder and felt my heart beat raise. I'm male, I'm not supposed to act like this.
"Honey...are you blushing?!" David asked, trying to get a good look at my face.
"No! Go away!" I argued, growling.
"You are! You love me!"
I struggled under him. I wasn't going to accept the fact that I blushed when he kissed my cheek. It was far too embarrasing for a wolf to blush. He kept trying to grab my face and turn my head so he could see me, being relentless in his efforts. As the struggle went on, I could see The Brothers and Glacier walk out of the den and past us, ignoring us completely until Marcus turned around.
"Lou, we're going to go to where all of the other wolves are, maybe find some girls, meet us there when you're done making out" He chuckled.
Before I was able to argue that point, I had my mouth covered and David began speaking for me.
"Sure thing, Marcus, but knowing my Sweety, he'll probably keep me here for a while. He can be really intimate when we're alone" David answered, winking at Marcus.
I growled and began yelling into his paw in protest, but the only thing that reached their ears was the sound of my pointless mumbling.
"Ok, don't take too long though, we'll give you two your privacy" Lucas responded, leaving with his brother.
I growled and bit down on David's paw, finally getting him to let go of my mouth so I could talk and breath properly. He yelped and all, began rubbing his paw and looking at it to see if I broke the skin.
"Love bite?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"NO! Why on earth would you think that I'm in love with you?! Oh, and stop telling everyone that we're being 'intimate'!" I growled, scolding him like a pup.
"'Cause you're in love with me!" He responded, his tail wagging from side to side out of his pride "And because it's eventually going to happen...and guess what..."
He looked around, before leaning in my ear, whispering ever so gently.
"We're alone..." He said, leaning in to kiss me again.
I growled and grabbed his mouth, looking at him and getting close.
"Not, happening" I growled, getting up and going after The Brothers and Glacier.
I heard David get up and follow almost instantly after I started walking and when I looked back I saw him hot on my trail. But not only that, when I turned around I was pretty sure he was checking me out. I shook my head to see if what I was seeing was true but when I looked again he was staring back at me with a sweet smile. I blushed at the sweet smile and turned away. I had no idea what was wrong with me. Why was I getting flushed so easily? Was I beginning to swoon?
No! I refuse to accept it! Why would I swoon over someone as stupid as him?!
"Honey...guess what..." David said, smiling "I wove you..."
I blushed again, not wanting to turn around and let him see me blushing again. I didn't want to accept it, but I have a feeling he now knows...I was swooning over him.
Update! Okay I want to thank those that have followed my stories and are keeping patient. I promise you all that I will not give up on any of my stories. There have been many authors that have done so and I will not be one of them. Thank you and as I always say...
