Alpha and Omega: The Accepted

Conrad's POV

Finally, we were here at the party. All around Sammy and I could hear the pups guiding us towards David and their god father. Behind me, Sammy was suspicously quiet. He took aside one of the pups for a while and, while I was taught to not listen to other's conversations, I was tempted to try with them. Although, I didn't get much out of it. It sounded like he was scolding the pup or trying to get him to not say something, either way, he sounded nervous and was speaking quite fast.

Luckily, I was able to get out of there and back with the other pups without Sammy or that pup noticeing me. Now, we were on our way to rejoin my friends. With the pups around us and constantly yelling though, it was hard to make our what was going on around me. There was the occasional howl from wolves enjoying the party, yelling, and cheering amongst other things.

It was only when a few angry voices came our way that I actually started paying attention.

"Sammy!" A growl eminated from amongst the mingering crowd sounded.

"Crap..." The wolf whispered from beside me.

Turning to the wolf and letting my ear perking up to listen more intently at the impending conversation. Quickly, the pups dispersed as the new wolf came walking into our little group. However, it didn't sound like just one wolf, it sounded more like three.

"Hey guys, whats up?" He asked, sounding nervous.

"What is he doing here?" One of them asked, growling in my direction and from my suspiction, I knew that they were talking about me.

"Him? H-he's just a friend" Sammy answered.

Friend. That word coming from his mouth meant so much for some reason. He was different from the other wolves I knew. Even Sirius, Drake and Lou. They treated me with caution and constant vigilance. Sammy, however, while being an idiot with some hygenic issues, treated me like an equal. Something I wanted but wasn't used to.

"He's a dog, what is a dog doing here?!" One argued, clearly upset by my presence, "You more than any of us should be upset by that"

"Well I'm not, he's a pretty good guy" Sammy replied as he stepped in front of me and shielded me from their hatred. I smiled at his warming presence, it felt as if I was utterly safe and secure. The only kind of protection I felt like this before was the sense I get from being around Byron or Cole.

"Does it look like I care?! If you won't throw him out, we will" The growl sounded. Bu the time he finished his threat, they were already on us. trying to circle us in an effort to trap and potentially seperate me from my wolf protector.

"Now I'm sure this dog can knock you all flat on your asses, but I personally will make sure that you don't touch a hair on him" He growled, getting closer to me until we were practically touching.

From this point, I could feel him beginning to look at me and I could almost tell he was smiling. Which made me smile back at him like an idiot.

"He's my friend, and I don't like when people try to hurt my friends" He replied, almost talking more to me than he was to the other wolves as they got closer and closer to us.

Friends. Even now, being circled by wolves that want to hurt me, I kept thinking that the word "Friend" wasn't strong enough to describe my relationship with him. In the short time that I had known him, I began to value his company almost as much as Sirius' and the other's. It was a special feeling though, it had its own origins to which I could not describe. All I knew was that having him here, even in this potentially dangerous moment, felt amazingly wonderful.

Sirius' POV

"What the hell happened to you two?"

There he was, Conrad. With Sammy just as David had mentioned. Both looked like they had just been through hell and back with all of the cuts and bruises they had all over their fur. Looking completely different from the last time that I talked to them. However, inspite of all those wounds, they had a big smile on both of their faces.

The most troubling thing was that they seemed to be getting along. Which I thought I would never see.

In response to my question, Sammy looked at Conrad and smirked and Conrad, as if he could see him doing it, mirrored the wolf's movements and grew a grin of his own.

"We got into a small fight with some jerks" Sammy answered, then turning to me with Conrad and flashing a smile.

While I would normally scold Conrad for getting in a fight, probably scold Sammy while I was at it too. Drake decided to ask his own question instead.

"How did you do?"

I turned around and growled at my fellow Alpha. He made it sound like they did something good in getting into a fight.

"Pretty damn good, for a dog" Sammy replied, looking and Conrad and smirking.

"You didn't do too bad yourself, Wolf" Conrad retorted, chuckling and smirking at the wolf right back.

Were they...actually congratulating each other? A few hours ago, they were willing to kill each other without a second though and now they looked like they were practically the best of buds.

"So you won?" The twins asked simultaneously, both tilting their heads to the side.

Both Sammy and Conrad nodded at them, looking pretty proud of themselves even though it seemed like they took one hell of a beating. Conrad looked profoundly happy for his typical demeanour however. Something that went unnoticed as I examined him for any bad wounds. His scarf was spotless, of course that would be the thing he protected the most, but it seemed like he took more injurys than the wolf beside him.

I shook my head at his happiness. If Byron ever found out that Sammy got Conrad into a fight, he wouldn't be having pups anytime soon. Conrad was probably going to get grounded for life for getting into a fight as well, but I felt more sorry for the wolf and what was probably coming for him from Conrad's parents.

"Hell yeah! You should see the other guys!" Conrad replied, "Not that I could, but you get the point"

"They did take a pretty bad beating" Sammy confirmed, putting his paw around Cornad's shoulder, "Two against three and we won"

David congratulated them, remaining close to Sylus as the wolf has his head under the bigger Alpha, his eyes only just barely open and constantly going back and forth between David and his brothers. Who were still in disbelief about todays events concering their brother and his new found attraction.

"Well come on and sit you guys, we have had quite an eventful day, haven't we David?" I asked, looking at the wolf as he nuzzled Sylus lovingly.

"W...what happened there?" Sammy asked, tilting his head at the sight.

With Conrad by my side, I sat down next to Drake again, using Conrad to seperate me and my potential boyfriend. He didn't mind, I always used to do this with Conrad and he knew what was happening but never said a word about it. Drake, of course, was upset about it, but didn't make a scene due to our spectators.

"It's a long story, in short, Sylus and I are a thing now" David answered, smiling at his friend with that old smile that I was used to seeing already, his tail wagging behind him as usual.

"What happened to that thing with that other wolf? What was his name again?"

Then, instead of an answer coming from the expected David or any of us, we got an answer from the completely opposite direction.

"It's Louis, but everyone calls me Lou"

Turning around, we already expected to see Lou, as we did. But who we did not expect to see was this new wolf, one that I recongnized from the stories and descriptions that Glacier and the brothers have gave me. This must've been that Oliver they were talking about and, judging from the descriptions provided, they were right when they said he was amazingly attractive.

As he walked up with Lou on his side, his legs flexed with every step he took and he stood just the right height; not too tall and not too short, perfect sized. His fur, the perfect blending of black and grey fur as it suited him just right from the Alpha. He truly looked intimidating but he didn't seem like he would hurt a fly.

"O-oliver?!" David asked, looking generally shocked and then turning to Lou, "L-lou? W-what are you two doing together?"

Lou smirked, looking like he got the reaction he wanted from David. While Sylus looked at David questionably, almost as if he was wondering what to do.

"Well, Oliver and I had a great time together so I wanted to talk to him a little bit more" Lou answered, staying close to the bigger wolf and pressing their pelts together, "But I wanted him to meet you guys since he and I are probably going to be talking a lot more"

"And I just wanted to see Lou again, that short amount of time that we had together wasn't enough" Oliver replied, looking at the shorter wolf and giving him a slight nuzzle.

All eyes were on David, who seemed to be surpressing some kind of emotion. Whether it was rage, sorrow, or something else. It was clear that he was close to the limit of his mentality. However, he slowly calmed down and put on that smile that he previously had, laying his head on Sylus' comfortably.

"Well thats fine, I'm glad to have you two in this little circle." David answered, nuzzling Sylus who smiled and nuzzled back.

The next few minutes were awkward. Occasionally, there was a whisper between us but mostly everyone remained quiet and just exchanged looks. However, for me, I quickly grew anxious to leave and avoid this awkwardness from reaching a critical point.

Then, just as I was about to get up and walk away, Drake reached over and grabbed my tail, looking at me with a worried look.

"Where are you going?" He whispered, tilting his head.

"Just for a walk, why?"

He whimpered and attempted to get up but before I put a paw on his shoulder to tell him to stay there. I wanted to be alone at the moment.

Without saying goodbye, I left the others to talk amongst themselves. While walking, I looked around and examined all of the wolves around me. All of them were talking and looking like they were having a good time. The same couldn't be said for me.

I had too much going on to really enjoy my time, but as I looked around and noticed that some of these wolves looked all too familiar. It was upon some reflection that I realized that some of these wolves were from Jasper! I suddenly stopped in my tracks as I looked around, there were Alpha and Omegas both conversating with wolves from different packs.

I smiled at this, seeing some familiar faces in the crowd of otherwise alien faces. Some saw me staring and smiled at me and I smiled back, finding it nice to be around friends. But one friend inparticular I was esspecially glad to see.

There, amongst the crowd was an Alpha whom I recongnized from my training days and onwards. Raff, a dear old friend of mine, with his mostly gray fur except for the tip of his tail and fur around his paws, which were black. He was among the top of our graduating class during Drake and I's Alpha School days. We bonded through the tough times and his company, as well as a few other's was more than welcome since I was missing Lou and Conrad.

Not to mention, Drake and I weren't a couple back then so he was still in that flirty and awkwardy adorable stage. Where he would blush and act shy whenever I was around. Raff and I were rivals at the start, both wanting to be the top of the class but I was no where near his level of skill and Drake's.

Ultimately, I was third, Raff was second, and Drake took the spot for the best.

Raff and I bonded tremendously throughout our time together but after we graduated from Alpha School we didn't see each other much. With the combined East and West packs, the area in which was controlled was so big that Alphas had to be seperate to guard multiple sectors.

For me, I was assigned to one end of the park and Raff the other. While we did talk occasionally, it wasn't for long and we could barely get a good conversation going before we had to leave due to our Alpha duties.

This was the perfect oppurtunity to take advantage the situation.

"RAFF!" I yelled, making a few heads turn including the one I was yelling at.

When he turned, it took him a minute to recognize me, once he did, his otherwise calm face suddenly lit up and he smiled; before begining to walk me. As he approached, my eyes went to that scar across his back. Obtained from a bear attack he survived when he was just a pup. He held it like a badge of courage.

It reminded me of my many scars, which he didn't seem to mind from our first encounter. Then again, not many of my friends brought up my scars. They all know how much of a touchy subject my father is to me.

"S-sirius?! What are you doing here?" He asked, his tail wagging behind him as mine did behind me.

"I could ask you the same thing, I thought you had Alpha duties?" I raised an eyebrow at the wolf, knowing I was just as much guilty as him for ditching on my duties.

"I got the week off, kinda needed it too" He replied, rubbing his neck as if to emphasize the stress he had been experiencing, "You?"

Ok, maybe I was more guilty than him. I left the pack without telling anyone about it but I thought that surely two Alphas missing wasn't going to effect much. But, as I glanced around the area and saw all the Alphas and Omegas here it started to cause some worry.

"I...just wanted to come, needed some time away from home and I thought that a party like this would help. It hasn't really"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Listen, I heard about you and Drake..." He started, slowly drifting off and then lowering his head, only his eyes looking at me now as the rest of his head pointed towards the ground.

Oh, thats right, I hadn't see Raff since Drake and I broke up. The last time I saw him, we were together. Had it really been that long since I last saw Raff? A feeling of guilt suddenly dropped over me as I remember him once being one of the people I used to have in our little group alongside Lou, Conrad and Drake.

"That? Oh, Raff, thats old news. An old story."

His eyes then turned to survey the surrounding area, looking around nervously before leaning closer to my ear.

"Is he here?"

I nodded, seeing him step back quickly. It was always like that when Drake and I were together. Anyone, male or female, had to stay away from me or Drake would snap at them and lead me away.

"Don't worry about that idiot" I encouraged, getting closer to him. "I broke up with him and if he doesn't want me around anyone alive then thats his problem. For now, you and I are going to hang out!"

He smiled at that and came back to where he was originally, right in front of me. I smiled and then I suddenly grabbed him by the shoulder and then I started to lead him away from the other wolves, wanting to have some alone time with an old friend of mine.

Drake's POV

My ears suddenly perked up, looking around. I growled without my knowledge. I darted my head back and forth, looking all over the place in a frantic fashion. I felt a sudden feeling of something, what was it? It felt like anger and jealousy. Why did I feel like this? Wait...where was Sirius?!

"Drake, whats wrong?" Conrad asked, tilting his head at me, "I can almost feel you getting worked up"

I looked at him, calming down and letting my ears go down. Whatever it was, it still hadn't left me, I felt a sudden need to go see Sirius but I decided to repress it. There were other things going on around here.

"So, how is everyone doing?" Glacier asked, looking at David as he stared at Lou, who was nuzzling Oliver, while occasionally casting a glance at David and then Sylus.

"I'm doing amazingly" Oliver responded, nuzzling Lou back.

"Yeah, I'm pretty good too" Lou agreed, putting his head under Oliver's as he sighed peacefully and put himself into a similar position as Sylus was.

It was painfully obvious that David and Sylus were only pretending to date in order to make Lou jealous and now he was doing the same thing to them, effectively making them eat their own medicine. It was an interesting thing to watch unfold nonetheless.

"Well I for one, am very happy" David said loudly, to emphasize his point.

"M-me too!" Sylus replied.

I chuckled, looking Sylus' brothers as they watched on, looking confused as possible. I understood why too, who wouldn't when they had a brother that was straight one second and then with a guy cuddling with him and acting all lovey-dovey.

"Well then, how about we do something productive? You know, actually do something at this party" David suggested, a sudden confident smirk growing on his face.

Sylus looked up at David, looking just as confused as his brothers at his new found boyfriend's actions. It looked like he just said something that wasn't planned.

"What did you have in mind?" Sammy asked, tilting his head as he laid next to Conrad and I.

An almost too evil grin appeared on his face as he looked from Sylus to Lou and then back again. I could practically hear a gulp come from Sylus at the unexpected action of his accomplice. However, what he said next made me want to have Sirius with me even more so than I before.

"I say we play...spin the squirrel..."

Okay here is the next chapter! Sorry for the longer than average time to update! But I promise I have no intentions of ever giving up on this story, it will be finished. Please review and comment on the chapter, it always helps me keep motivated.
