"No maim"
Why did that sound so familiar. Lucy wondered looking towards the stranger for the first time until it clicked.
"Wyatt" She whispered in a tone that could barley be heard.
The noise of the outside room could scarcely be heard by the two. As Lucy lay content against Wyatt's strong chest with a feeling of relieve and safety that could rarely be found during times like these.
"Wyatt if we get found out, they'll kill you and your family." She whispered into the crook of his neck.
"Somethings are worth the risk, Luce."
Leaning towards his lips, Lucy felt the most joy she had had in a while.
Suddenly, the moment was broken as four adults came rushing into the room. Carol Cahill stood solemnly beside her husband Benjamin, with Anne and James Logan to the left.
"I told you to leave my daughter ALONE" Benjamin yelled towards Wyatt, " Just because your family is joining rittenhouse does not give you the permission to take control of my daughter like that!"
"Sir, I swear I wasn't, I-I could never do that to Lucy"
"Silence young man, I would have imagined your parents would have taught you to only speak when spoken too!"
"You can't talk to my sun like that!" James yelled with his Southern drawl.
"Unlike you, we are actually trustworthy and reliable people," Carol remarked," Ben, I believe protocol 2545 is due."
"It's a sad thing James, I was starting to like you. Because of this disgrace we will not kill you, instead to teach my daughter the lesson of following the rules, we will only wipe your memory and replace it with a new, better one, will Lucy will watch from afar." Before anything else could be said, a gun was drawn and the faint sound of three bullets could be heard against the Lucy's loud plea for help.
