Chapter Eleven:

Klaus's POV

I got out of the drivers side and walked to the passengers side, opening the door for Bella. We were at the hospital here in Forks to find out the genders of the babies. She took my hand with a nervous sigh and we walked into the hospital. We already called the doctors and scheduled an appointment, which was now.

So sitting in the waiting room, I can't help but bounce my knee and twiddle my fingers. Bella took my hand and laughed at me. I scoffed lightly but smiled a little.

"Calm down, if you keep wringing your hands, you'll start to tear your skin and bleed." She joked. I shook my head.

"Can't help it. We're about the find out the babies genders." I said.

"I'm nervous too, but I'm good at hiding it." She bragged, making me roll my eyes. She laughed again and leaned against my shoulder. I kissed the top of her head and held her hand.

"Isabella Swan." A nurse called out. I stood up and helped Bella to stand and we followed the nurse in. As soon as we stepped into the room, the nurse reached into a cupboard and handed Bella a white gown. "Now, I'll need you to change into a gown and lay down on the bed. Doctor Murphy will be with you in a few minutes." And with that, she walked out.

"Klaus, can you help me? It's kind of difficult to dress and undress when four months pregnant with twins." She said. I chuckled and nodded, helping her take off her jeans and sweater, leaving her in her undergarments and a spaghetti strap tank top. I picked up the hospital gown and she slipped her arms through the arm holes. I also helped her up on the table before she could say anything.

"Thanks, Klaus." She smiled as she covered her legs with the blanket.

"No worries, sweetheart." I pecked her lips and pulled a chair up to sit beside her when Doctor Murphy walked in.

She was a woman in her mid forties with dark brown hair that was slightly greying in some strands and she had a kind look in her eyes and a sweet smile.

"Hello, I am Doctor Murphy, and you must be Miss Swan and this must be the father of the baby." She said looking to be and then me. I held my hand out to her.

"Niklaus Mikaelson, but just call me Nik or Klaus." I told her as she shook my hand.

"Of course, Klaus. Now, Miss Swan, are you ready to find out the genders of your baby. It says here that you know that you're having twins." She said as she looked at the clipboard in her hands.

"Yes, definitely twins. We're pretty eager to know the genders." Bella said, shaking with excitement and nervousness.

Doctor Murphy laughed and nodded, "Completely understandable. I was about ready to do my own ultrasound just to find out my daughter's gender." She said as she pulled up the monitor and the ultrasound wand. She reached into a cupboard and pulled out the gel bottle and a pair of gloves. "Now, fair warning, this is cold. Brace yourself." She opened the gel bottle and put some on Bella's bottle who yelped slightly and jumped a little.

I chuckled as she smacked my shoulder, but you could see the mirth on her face. We both turned back to the monitor, waiting to see the small image of our twins and find out the genders.

"Okay, and you see those two circles here?" We nod. "Those are you babies heads. Would you like to hear their heartbeat?" We nod again, this time a bit more eager. She presses a button and turns a volume dial and there we hear it. Two beautiful heartbeats that belong to two little, unborn bundles of joy. "Ready for the genders, mom and dad?" She asked.

"Yes, please." Bella said while I waited.

"Congratulations! You're having a daddy's girl and a momma's boy!" Doctor Murphy said happily. I heard Bella breath a sigh in awe and happiness. I turned to her and kissed her temple.

"A baby girl and our big boy." She whispered in joy.

"Would you guys like some photos?" Doctor Murphy asked.

"Yes, we would like that very much." I said and she did so, putting about six copies in a small envelope and handing them to me. I put it in my jacket pocket very carefully as Doctor Murphy wiped the gel off of Bella's stomach and left the room so that Bella could get changed.

I helped Bella redress and she slipped on her ballet flats. I helped her put on her parka and we left the room hand in hand. Both of us walked to the front desk where we signed out and left the hospital to the parking lot where we wasted no time in driving back to La Push to tell everyone the news.

~~~ AND THEN!~~~
I knew that everyone was probably waiting in the living room, dining room, kitchen, and wherever they could wait for the two of us to arrive and await the good news of the genders.
The drive took half an hour in comfortable silence, River Flows in You by Yiruma playing gently in the car. I shifted the car into park and cut the engine, getting out of the car and blurring over to Bella's side, opening the door for her and helping her out. As soon as her feet touched the ground, the door opened to reveal all the men, except Sam, Elijah, Marcel, and Finn, tumbling to the ground and stacking on top of one another.
Bella sighed and rolled her eyes, me, I merely took out my phone and snapped a few pictures. They all got up, except for Peter, who was still on the ground looking as if all that weight had killed him. All of the women came out, stepping on Peter's back in the process. Charlotte who was the last to walk out, pulled Peter up from the ground by his shirt.
"Poor baby." She said as she pat his cheek.
"Speaking of babies, what's the gender?" Emily asked excitedly.
"Please tell me I at least have a nephew to spoil." Rebekah asked anxiously.
"Do you wanna tell them or should I?" I asked Bella. She shrugged and nodded.
"Well, everyone," She reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out the ultrasound photos, pulling them out. "Say hello to your beautiful little niece and nephew." She held the photos out to each of the woman who all looked at them and squealed like teenage girls. All us men, and Bella covered our ears as they kept squealing and jumping up and down.
"Oh they're going to be the most spoiled babies in this family!" Haley said as they all looked at the photos of our babies, agreeing with her statement. I merely smirked and held Bella close to me as they all looked at a picture of the future which would soon be a part of this world.
A/N: I would just like to apologize to my readers for not posting for practically 2 years. High school has been hectic and having siblings and a grandmother to help take care of is not easy. But I will try my best to continue posting on this story as well as my others when I find time before I start community college. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this very late chapter.
