Chapter 3: In the name of Love
Love's POV
The day I met Setsuna I got this warm feeling in my heart. Something in me told me that meeting her was a new beginning. She had a strange outfit on and told me my fortune. I thought she looked breathtaking. She said something good was going to happen to me soon. At the time I had thought that meeting her was it. I still think it was. I had met Setsuna that day, went to a Trinity concert, became a Precure, and then Miyuki-san said she would teach me to dance. It all started with her.
We met many more times after that, each time that warm feeling returned. We got to know each other better and that feeling started to grow stronger. Miki-tan and Buki didn't like her at first but Setsuna didn't seem to mind and she even forgave them when they accused her of being a bad friend. She became one of my best friends. When we would have to part ways I found myself always looking forward to the next time I'd see her. I felt like I could share everything with her and that she would do the same. I felt that we understood each other.
"Peach she's our enemy. Setsuna is a member of Labyrinth."
Apparently I was wrong. She was suffering while I was with her. I knew something was bothering her but I didn't realized how much.
"Whenever I'm with you, it feels like something inside me is breaking."
I didn't know she was in so much pain.
"Whenever I'm with you I feel like I'm losing myself."
So I decided to settle the beef so we could go back to being friends. I would fight to save her from Labyrinth. I remember hearing the phrase "actions talk louder than word", never really understanding it until now. She was fighting me and herself at the same time, denying her feeling while expressing them all the same. I went on to the point that we both collapsed in exhaustion, and it looked like it work. It looked like I had gotten my friend, my Setsuna back. That was until she went limp.
"It's futile. Eas's lifespan has expired."
"Our lifespans are determined and controlled since birth."
Determined and controlled. Doesn't that mean that this happened on purpose? Their leader killed her? Why would they do something like that?
I called out to her desperately, hoping for some miracle to happen, hoping something would save and then something did happen. Her body flashed red and then she disappeared. Where did she go? Does this mean she's ok?
Setsuna, I will find you. Just wait.
