For Josh who wrote an additional for Round Ten of The Houses Competition.
Ollivander was a brave old man, who'd lived through countless wars, seen pain, anguish, and suffering. Yet still stayed wise throughout it all, had a compliment always on the tip of his tongue, brilliant advice sitting in the back of his mind at all times, just waiting to be brought forth. And so when students came in to ask for their wands, nervous little first years or sometimes fifth years who'd broken their wands, he'd always smile. Because he knew the question they were bound to ask - what house were you in? They'd guess Gryffindor mainly, sometimes Hufflepuff. But he'd still smile, eyes twinkling as he told them he was a Ravenclaw. They'd be shocked, confused, some even thinking he was kidding. But he did with that as he'd tried to do all his life, with every challenge that had come his way.
Through everything he'd just kept smiling.
