Kakashi Hatake entered the academy with a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. There was no way that these kids were going to go for this idea.
Clapping his hands together, he caught the attention on the rooky seven, the sand siblings and the three other sensei's. A trickle of sweat running down his face, he said loudly, "Alright people, Tsunade says for art class credit you all have to put on a musical performance for her two weeks from now. Now, even though this may seem foolish, it's actually really important to your grade, so do it or you all fail."
Thirteen pairs of eyes blinked back at him. Then someone spoke.
"Alright! A musical! Dattebayo!"
"Shut up, Naruto," Sasuke muttered, delivering a good hard smack to the back of his teammate's blonde head.
"No. I refuse to take part in such a childish event," huffed Neji Hyuuga, crossing his arms and turning away from Kakashi.
"Ah, ah, ah! Not so fast, long haired one!" Gai challenged, pulling the eldest Hyuuga back by his shiny black hair.
"No! My manly ebony locks!" Neji crowed, freeing himself from Gai's grasp and twisting away. Then, coughing, he regained himself.
"I-I think it s-so-sounds w-wonderful," squeaked Hinata from the back of the class.
"Hn. Whatever." Temari Sabaku rolled her eyes.
"Everyone agreed then?" Kakashi asked. There was a general feedback of agreement, and then he got started.
"So, here's the thing. You all try out for parts, see? And then I'll pin the casting sheets up on Wednesday."
Striding away, he grinned to himself. This was going to be fun.
