"Your Riolu is now in perfect health, please come again!"

"Thank you Nurse Joy" I replied, smiling and nodding.

"All he needed was a little food! Otherwise you and he wouldn't have needed to come at all!" She replied, kindly.

"Chansy, Chansy!" Added her Chansy.

I strolled out of the Pokemon Centre into Canalave City. Today seemed just the perfect day for a picnic, so I packed some food into a groceries bag, and set off for the park.

Just as I was plucking a Cheri Berry of a bush, someone approached me from behind. "Uhh... Hello, umm... if you wouldn't mind, uh... could I umm... like kind of eat with you?" Asked a nervous looking girl, with navy blue hair hidden under a pink and white hat. She was wearing a black tank top and a short, pink skirt.

"Sure, I think I packed a bit much anyhow!" I answered, how could I say no? She was pulling one of those puppy dog faces at me, anyway.

"Thank you so much! I mean I got lost, see and I'm so hungry!"

"Hey! Don't sweat!" I said, adjusting my blue jacket and turtleneck jumper. "By the way, I'm Riley." I added onto my previous statement.

"I'm Dawn!" Replied Dawn.

"Mmm! You're such a good cook!" She complimented on the food.

"Hey! I'm not that good, am I?" I said, going as red as the berries I had picked. "You are! Where did you learn?" asked Dawn, in between mouthfuls of tuna pate on baguette. "You really think I'm that good?"

"Yupf... I duup... Sorry, I said yup I do." She said nearly choking.

"Are you o.k.? I mean we all choke once in a while... but, are you o.k.?"

I asked, with true concern showing in my voice.

"Yes! Of course I'm o.k.!"

The day went on with both of us keeping the other company, and after a while (In which Dawn choked a couple more times) I came to a decision.

"Umm... Dawn? Would you like to travel with me, I don't mean permanent or anything, but yeah." I asked cautiously.

"Sure! I'd love to!"

"Thank You!"
