The silence emitted though out the empty Cullen house. The family of vampires had left earlier that day to hunt.
Rosalie Hale sat in the empty living room, her legs were crossed as she sat on one of the overstuffed couches. She ever so gently ran her fingers over the words that were lying in her lap. The Giant Book of Fairy Tales, the cover read in a elegant writing. Rosalie loved this book, whenever she was alone she would sit down and enjoy reading the fairy tales she had grown up believing in. She gently closed the book, as she heard her family approaching the house. Seconds later they entered the house, greeted Rosalie and went off to do their own things. Emmett walked over to where Rosalie was sitting, he greeted her with a kiss before laying down on the couch, Rosalie ran her hand through his hand once he had settled his head in her lap. He turned his head slightly so he could see the book in her lap.
"Fairy Tales?" He question with a slight smirk
"I like reading them, and just because we have no children to read them to doesn't mean I can't enjoy them." she answered quickly almost in a defensive way. Emmett smiled and leaned up to give Rosalie a kiss before settling back down.
"Read some to me." He requested, Rosalie smiled at him for a minute before opening the book.
"Once upon a time, in a land far, far away..."
