Rogue Hunter
The sky was as black as coals and soot, while the stars were the only source of light. A cloaked figure was seen scurrying from one corner to the next, almost as if looking for something. A sign perhaps? Let's take a closer look…
The figure clapped his hands together twice and mumbled something incoherent. Almost as if in response, a blinding light flashed, and alas, the man disappeared.
SLAM. "Darn it, not other one! That's the fifth one this week," he murmured in disgust. This was Saitou Hajime, the leading man on the job. Basically, he's responsible for ANY type of activity relating to rogues. And apparently, many of them have started to 'disappear', if you catch my drift.
"That fu-," his little outburst was interrupted by an even louder voice. "Hajime! What have I told you about swearing in public? It's rude and very much distasteful," she tilted her head and leveled her gaze on him, "If I ever hear you swear again, I'll take away your cigarettes! And I mean it." If you're wondering who this crazy woman is; she's Tokio Hajime. Don't worry she's his wife….its kind of hard to believe this, but her rank is even higher than her husband's….but who is scarier? You don't want to know…
"Now, what seems to be the problem?" She dropped her chin unto his shoulder and leaned onto his cheek, as she hugged him from behind. Her husband sighed and slumped, "As more and more rogues seem to be disappearing, most of the slayers and hunters are going out of their abilities to locate them. There's not one of them that has found a lead yet. Its disgraceful," he rubbed his temples in frustration.
"Dearest, have you called Kao-chan yet? If anyone can do it, I'm sure she'll be able to," she looked at her husband in approval.
"Kamiya, that's an interesting proposition, but it could work. Calling on the Underground City of Elfreth's finest Rogue Hunter might be perfect for this job. Wonderful," he gazed at his wife with a smirk, and then leaned in for a kiss. Just absolutely perfect.
Author's Notes: I know I promised to post up a chapter of 'Run Little Birdie, Run', but no one has reviewed yet….that and the fact that I had to get this written down. Anyways, tell me what you think. – Ohagi-chan
