Gryffindor For a Reason
Title: House Talk

Summary: Parvati meets a few housemates.
She was breathless, having just been Sorted into Gryffindor house. She was a little disappointed, she had expected to be in Ravenclaw with Padma. But the Gryffindors seemed to be a cheerful bunch, so she wasn't going to complain.
She looked around, she spotted a couple of people that were obviously first years like her.
"Hello. Can I sit here?" she asked the brown-haired girl.
She nodded, and smiled. "Hi, I'm Lavender Brown," she greeted.
"I like your name," Parvati said, her nerves edging away as she sat down beside Lavender. "I'm Parvati Patil," she added.
The blond boy across from them looked away from the Sorting Hat, who was sorting a very tall black boy named Dean. "I'm Seamus Finnigan," he said, greeting the black boy as he sat down next to him. "All right, Dean?"
Dean nodded.
Parvati looked over to Lavender, not interested in listening to boy talk. "So, did you know what house you were going to be in?" she asked her.
Lavender shook her head. "I thought I was going to be in Hufflepuff," she said. "Mum was, my dad was in Gryffindor though, he'll be excited."
"My dad was in Ravenclaw, so was my mum. So is my twin sister," she said, pointing in Padma's direction. "I wanted to be in Ravenclaw, but I guess this is just as good!"
