Numair smiled as he watched his student chatter with a Hawk.

Daine grinned as the bird flew away into the night but shivered as a cold wind cut through her cloths.

"Cold?" Numair asked.

"Just a bit. You?" Daine rolled her eyes.

"No. I'm too powerful to get cold, of course!"

"How could I have forgotten?" Daine rolled her eyes.

"Don't be ashamed that you aren't as brilliant as I am!" Daine plopped herself down next to the mage shivered again.

"Can't we light a fire?" She asked.

"Woods damp," Numair said apologetically.

She nodded and slowly fell asleep, her head falling onto the mage's shoulder.

She began shaking in her sleep, worrying her teacher.

Numair causally wrapped an arm around the girl, trying to warm her. In her sleep she moved closer to him and Numair placed his head on top of her head and fell asleep.

Daine's eyes opened and she smiled.
