The fact that Becky had taken off with Veronica didn't mean she was having a ball either.

At her chambers, what Becky had thought would be her room, Veronica had a lovely blonde with blue eyes sitting reading a small book. She had a blue and white dress on, with a lovely miniature hat over her head; she wore fingerless gloves (in a bright purple color) and had a coat the color of melted chocolate.

"Hatter keeps insisting I wear this outside."

"But you are inside right now." Commented Becky, a little confused.

"Outside of Underland. HE wants to make sure I don't fit." Becky frowned and turned to Veronica who smiled. This hatter guy seemed to be quite selfish when it came to be with lovely Alice. Still shocked with the idea of having the real Alice before her, Becky could only nod. But if she understood quite well…

"Hence he won't even let you leave your house?"

"We were separated seven years, I guess that's what has him so… tickled over."

"What a nice way of putting it." Murmured Becky turning away to sip her tea. Alice smiled at her.

"He might not look it, but the Hatter is the sanest person you might find. Thanks to him I am… well me." The girl sipped her tea and hummed with delight. "This is the best brew I've tasted in a while, who made it?"

"Hatter."

The three women smiled.

"Forgive me for been so rude, but I still don't understand what's the problem."

"Quite easy; I want children and he's afraid of sharing me with them."

"But they'll be his… right?"

"Yes of course, he is my husband."

"Why would he be jealous?"

Alice smiled.

"Because he won't be the Love of My Life anymore."

Becky turned to Veronica, who was rubbing her growing belly and then to Alicia.

"Forgive my ignorance; but how come you're still alive?"

Alice just smiled.

"Where did this guy dropped from?"

"The looking glass."

"What?"

"You know Dave, I've been considering eradicating that word from your vocabulary." The Hatter, at the other side for the table, continued his tea party alone, unbothered while the sorcerers leaned onto each other to talk. "Veronica and I received a large shipment of antique mirrors from England, turns out one of them was a looking glass."

"What's that?"

"Have you been even bothering to read the Encantus?"

"No, too busy with finals."

"A looking glass is an enchanted mirror that leads to another land; more specifically Underland. If you saw that disaster of a tale Alice in Wonderland by Disney…"

"Hey, that's a classic!"

"It describes the first trip of many trips Alice made to the land of Underland, she called it Wonderland because of all the wondrous things she saw there. Alice was a particularly important character for Underlanians because she was to free them from the Red Queen."

"It was real?"

"Yes, hence you have the Mad Hatter here."

"And why is he here?"

"Therapy."

"What?" Balthazar gave Dave an annoyed stare and when he was about to speak a soft voice interrupted them.

"Mr. Blake?" They looked up and there was a blonde beauty, not as gorgeous as Becky, but gorgeous nonetheless. "I believe it's my turn for therapy."

"Yes, indeed. Dave, I leave you to take care fo the Hatter."

"What?"

And Balthazar frowned at his apprentice, standing to walk towards young Alice. Becky and Veronica appeared at that moment watching as Balthazar and Alice left. A scone hit Dave on the cheek.

"While I would love to continue this interesting tea party," Said Veronica while Becky tried to clean Dave's face with a messy hankie, "We have to find what mirror they came out from."

"Mr. Hatter?"

"Yes Ma'am?"

"Would you mind halting tea to find your way home?"

"Halting tea! That's unheard of!"

This was going to be an interesting evening.

"Well I'm sure you two are quite aware of why I've called you both in." Instead of the chaise there were two comfortable chairs both facing Balthazar but leaning slightly towards each other. Hatter was leaning back, hand over his lap while he seemed nervous about the verdict of the case. Too bad this wasn't a court.

"So what does the doctor recommend?" Asked Alice, looking slightly nervous.

"I recommend you two start talking, right now; to each other. I'll be here to supervise the reaction."

"I can't tell him here! I'm too scared!"

"Why are you scared, cricket?"

That got Alice to freeze, Balthazar to turn to the Hatter and the Hatter to lean towards his wife. He was frowning, looking slightly pale and worried. Balthazar cleared his throat. "Hatter, would you tell Alice what you discovered with me?"

"Yes, yes, most important. Alice, love, I've discovered why a raven is like a writing desk…" He started, taking Alice's hand, who seemed quite interested in the never ending riddle her beloved held dear to his heart.

"Hatter, the other thing you discovered." Said Balthazar eyes closed and sighing as he spoke.

"Oh, yes. Yes." The hatter, still holding Alice's hand. There was a moment of tense silence, in which his eyes shifted from green to blue, to pink and finally electric green. "I… I find it hard to share with you beloved; because I have been quite… selfish. I've been considering things that begin with the letter M. Marriage, moods, ma-TER-ni-TY."

"Hatta?"

"I am a selfish bad, naughty hatter, cricket. I've been bad husband and I am sure you would understand why I'm being like this. I want you all for meself, lass. Je are the best thing that has happened to me, hence I've got to protect ya."

"I know beloved."

"A wee lad or lass could be a handful. Hightopps are never esy to reise. I wan im or er to have yer eyes."

"Hatta?"

"I wanna tri an ave a wee lad or lass."

Alice smiled, having understood whatever he meant, while Balthazar tried to figure it out.

"We don't have to try it."

"Wa, lass?"

"I'm with child already."

If the conversation had not been interesting enough, Balthazar had to admit; watching the Hatter faint had been hilarious.

Dave stood beside the tall frame of the iron mirror that had been in the very back of the baseman. He'd been adamant to find this item, figuring out the scone attacks would halt once the madman was gone, and had used all his resources magical and otherwise to locate this heavy mirror. The glass and image reflected over its surface was messy, as if a lake covered with a brewing storm; meaning it was ready to be traveled through. He wasn't sure what had happened during the last session of therapy but both Alice and the Mad Hatter could not stop thanking Balthazar for whatever he'd done. Balthazar himself wasn't having a good time; his pockets had been filled with cakes, sweets, a hat placed over his head (a funny thing with lots of feathers, stones, and a thick pointy top), and a scarf the color midnight. Veronica herself was sporting a scarf; a rainbow of colors that changed when light touched it.

"I must thank you for been so supportive, especially during these times of dire need. Alice and I would very much to invite you for tea. I'm sure the march Hare would have a ball with your apprentice."

"Thank you very much, Tarrant, but I'm not sure Dave is ready for traveling to Underland. At least not yet."

"We are all mad down there."

"Veronica in the other hand I might take soon. After our child is born."

"Oh yes, before I forget. Here." Anda little pair of white and pink boots were placed over the sorcerer's hand. "For ye lass."

"Oh, they are so cute!" Said Veronica softly, picking the items with great care. "Thank you."

"Be sure she wears them there's more coming her way." And the Hatter started laughing.

"We should get together and have our children play." Said Alice softly to the sorceress, looking happy.

"Well we must be off. Time must be worried for Alice by now, as so must be the White Queen and the Tweedles. Come Cricket." Hatter walked to the mirror and smiled at Dave, before pulling a blue, pointy hat from the inside of his coat, shaking it open and then placed it over Dave's head; the apprentice just stared at him. "I like it!"

In the meantime Alice kissed Veronica and then Becky, who was very surprised. But it was only a prelude to what Alice was to whisper;

"I'm alive because when you love Time stands still and let's you enjoy it."

And with that Alice stood back and took the Hatter's extended hand, and together they stepped through the glass. The mirror shook, shifted and finally stopped moving becoming once again clear and… reflective. Safe tapped on its surface discovering it was back to its normalcy and sighed.

"That was nuts."

"You have no idea."
