After learning from the fire bending masters aang and zuko return to the group. Secretly zuko worries his bending still won’t be enough. After he falls asleep katara catches him sleep talking and bending in his sleep. She questions his loyalty to team avatar. Zuko gets embarrassed and goes off by himself where Toph decides to step in and helps him work through his troubles.

What would a genius, prodigy, imperialist conqueror who has no qualms with killing friend or foe or committing genocide, and has learned that everyone who she ever "cared" for would turn on her on a moments notice and/or never cared for her, do after escaping her traitorous, betrayer of a brother and the Avatar's custody? When Toph was learning how to earthbend from badgermole something happened. When she was about leave a rock fell from the ceiling bashing her in the head it knocks her out cold. When she wakes up without her memories and comes to think she is herself is a badgermole. Seven yrs later a certain bald head boy manages to find her by accident.

Modern AU. They are two young adults in learning. And love is another lesson.

Zuko just joined team avatar, he isn’t trusted by everyone in the group yet. His only job (since his fire bending is weaker after changing sides) is to watch the fire. He knows how important it is to prove himself and so far he’s not doing a great job. When he starts to fall asleep while watching the fire it sparks a conversation between him and a not so understanding katara.

Master Yu and Xin Fu were not the only ones send by Toph's dad to 'rescue' her. Others hired fail to do so as well. Though Lao did say do whatever it take to bring Toph back, is he really willingly to pay that price when a mysterious man take the job

Slight AU where Aang and Katara never kiss on the submarine or at EIP, and don't get together on Iroh's balcony after the war. They remain close-best-friends, though, and when Aang reaches adulthood and leaders and nobles try to pressure him into a relationship, he seeks out Katara's help in avoiding them.

This wasn't supposed to happen. She wasn't supposed to start empathizing with him. She wasn't supposed to bond. And she definitely wasn't supposed to start caring.
