I tried to stay up until midnight, but I couldn't help but doze off once Chance climbed into my lap and started purring. I was awakened by someone shaking me.

"Kate, wake up." Snape whispered

I slowly opened my eyes to soft lamp light.

"Please don't punch me in the face again." Snape joked

"What time is it?" I asked sitting up in bed.

"It's just passed 1:00am." Snape replied sitting next to me.

"You're late." I yawned.

"I'm sorry; I couldn't get away until now." Snape replied.

"You can always make it up to me." I smirked leaning against him.

His musky scent already sent my tired hormones into overdrive.

"You look tired..." Snape whispered.

I yawned.

"I'm fine" I replied.

"I can come back tomorrow night." Snape suggested.

"Or you can spend the night with me." I smirked. "Not tonight." Snape replied.

I looked up at him. He had bags under his eyes. He was tired too.

"You didn't have to come tonight." I yawned

"Yes I did" Snape replied.

I tilted my head in confusion.

"You did?" I asked

"I missed you too much." Snape replied.

He gently pushed his lips into mine, but then pulled away.

"I better go before I can't control myself." Snape smirked.

"Then just one more kiss?" I suggested, hoping it would get him to stay.

He outlined my bottom lip with his thumb.

"Don't tempt me." He whispered

I brought my face closer to his, our lips inches apart.

"Tempt you? I don't know what you're talking about." I smirked.

There was a soft knocking on my bedroom door.

"Are you awake Kate?" Sirius asked softly from the other side of the door.

Snape and I both jumped out of my bed. I dragged Snape over to my wardrobe.

"Hide in here" I whispered.

"Kate?" Sirius asked from the other side of the door.

I looked at the door and then back at the wardrobe. Snape closed the doors, hiding himself. I walked over to the door and opened it.

"What's going on?" I asked.

I fake yawned.

"I was just wondering if you were still up." Sirius said.

"Now I am. What do you need?" I asked as I leaned against the door frame.

"I just... wanted to spend some time with you before you headed back to Hogwarts..." He said scuffing his feet on the ground.

"So you want to spend time with me... at... one in the morning?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Not necessarily. I just wanted to make sure that tomorrow, we could spend time together." Sirius said looking into my eyes.

"Yeah sure, no problem." I smirked.

"Do you mind if it was just... you and I... not Reia?" He asked.

"I would actually prefer that better after your little... mishap with her." I replied.

Chance started scratching at my wardrobe. My eyes widened. Sirius looked at him curiously.

"His cat nip is in there." I lied.

"I see..." Sirius replied.

"Okay, so see you tomorrow?" I asked.

"Yeah, have a good night kid." Sirius said messing up my hair.

I didn't bother trying to fix it right away.

"Goodnight." I replied as I shut my door.

I sighed and scooted Chance away from the wardrobe. I opened the double doors on the wardrobe.

"Close one huh?" I smirked.

Snape climbed out of the wardrobe. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him. His lips touched mine without him saying a word.

"Kate, I almost forgot that..." Sirius started to say as he opened my door.

My breathing stopped. My heart jumped into my throat and my whole body went numb. I quickly turned around. I saw Sirius standing there with his mouth open and his face pale.

"Snape...?" Sirius managed to say.

"Dad... I'm..." I started to say.

Sirius' face went from shocked to anger in a blink of an eye. Sirius grabbed my wand that was on my dresser by the door and pointed it at Snape.

"Dad, please no! Stop!" I yelled as I positioned myself between Sirius and Snape.

"I'm going to fucking kill you Severus!" Sirius spat at him.

Snape withdrew his wand and pointed it at Sirius.

"Try it you mutt!" Snape replied.

"Stop it! Both of you!" I screamed.

"Why don't stop cowering behind my daughter and fight me like a man!" Sirius yelled.

"You wouldn't be able to hit me in an open field and if I were standing still." Snape smirked

Suddenly a spark of red light went flying by my face. Snape must have deflected it because another shot of red light went flashing past me again to Sirius.

"Stop it!" I yelled.

Snape grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the way of another one of Sirius' spells.

"Your spells are navigating wrong because that isn't your wand you flea infested twat." Snape spat.

A shot of a blue spell hit Snape.

"And yet I can still hit you." Sirius smirked.

Snape grabbed his arm where the spell it. Snape quickly shot another spell knocking Sirius to the ground. Lupin ran into my room.

"What's going on!" Lupin asked.

Sirius quickly got up and shot another spell towards Snape. Snape deflected it with a quick wave of his wand. Sirius shot another spell, this time it hitting me. Sharp pain went shooting threw my whole body. It subsided quickly, but it was enough to bring me to my knees.

"Kate..." Sirius whispered.

Snape moved in front of me, blocking me from anymore spells. Snape shot yellow sparks at Sirius, hitting him. Sirius fell to his knees.

"Dad!" I exclaimed

"Is that all you have Snivy?" Sirius smirked.

"Sirius, Stop!" Lupin exclaimed.

"Not until I kill him Remus." Sirius growled as he stood up.

"Dad... please..." I mumbled.

Sirius shot another spell at Snape. Snape easily blocked it.

"So easy to read, no wonder Dumbledore won't let you do anything for the Order." Snape said.

"Read this." Sirius said jumping towards Snape.

Lupin quickly managed to grab on to Sirius.

"Sirius! Calm down!" Lupin exclaimed.

"Remus... He was kissing her!" Sirius yelled

Lupin looked at me. Sirius managed to squirm his arm out of Lupin's grasp and shot another spell at Snape, this time hitting him. Snape fell instantly to the ground in front of me. Lupin quickly grabbed my wand away from him.

"Sirius enough!" Lupin said.

Sirius made another jump at Snape. I quickly jumped over Snape and stood in front of him with my arms extended out.

"Kate, move out of the way." Sirius grunted as he tried to get out of Lupin's grasp.

"No" I replied.

"Kate move!" Sirius demanded."Dad... I love him" I whispered as my eyes locked on Sirius'

Sirius suddenly stopped fighting Lupin. He went almost limp in his arms.

"What?" He mumbled.

"I love him." I repeated.

"I want him out of my house." Sirius said as he shook off Lupin.

He didn't look at me as he left my room and stormed downstairs. Lupin took one glance at me and Snape before he left my room as well. I turned around and knelt in front of Snape.

"Are you okay?" I said as tears quietly fell down my face.

"Are you?" Snape asked wiping away my tear on cheek.

I nodded, unable to speak anymore.

I walked Snape out to the front door. We didn't kiss each other good-bye this time. I walked into the dining room where Sirius and Lupin were sitting.

"Dad..." I started to say, but was stopped when Sirius held up his hand.

"I can't believe you would do something like that to me." Sirius said

He still didn't look at me.

"I didn't do it intentionally to hurt you!" I snapped

"Are you not thinking clearly or what?" Sirius said slamming his hand on the table.

"I'm thinking quiet clearly actually" I replied.

"He's old enough to be your father, literally! He's my age!" Sirius yelled, finally making eye contact with me.

"Oh, it's the age that bother's you? It doesn't have anything to do with you two hating each other?" I replied back.

Sirius grabbed a coffee cup that was left on the table and threw it at the wall.

"It's everything I have a problem with!" Sirius screamed.

"I knew you wouldn't understand." I snapped back

"Understand! Who in there right mind would understand?" Sirius said standing up.

"So I'm not in my right mind?" I asked.

"Don't... do that!" Sirius spat

"Do what!" I yelled back

"Put words in my mouth! Your mother used to always do that!" Sirius yelled.

Him talking about my mother stung.

"The thought of him even touching you..." Sirius said sitting down.

"Kate... how did this even happen?" Lupin asked.

"It just did." I replied bitterly.

"You're not too see him anymore." Sirius said.

"I work with him now... how am I supposed to not see him?" I asked

"Then you're not going. Tell Dumbledore that you're sorry but..." Sirius started to say.

"I'm going Sirius... and I'm going to continue 'seeing' Professor Snape." I snapped.

"I forbid you." Sirius said looking into my eyes.

Rage danced like flames in his eyes.

"Forbid me? Have you forgotten that I'm of age to do what I wish? Sorry Sirius, but you missed that part of my life where you can tell me what to do." I informed him.

I turned to leave the kitchen.

"I'll be out by tomorrow morning." I said to him before leaving the dining room.

"I'm coming with you." Reia smirked.

"Reia... you don't have too." I said putting Chance in his cat carrier.

"Yeah, because I'm going to stay here awkwardly with your angry father." She replied sarcastically.

"Are you ready to go?" I asked.

"Give me 20 minutes and I will be" Reia said with a wink.

Reia and I walked downstairs with our luggage. We hoped no one would be up at 6am, but that was apparently too much to ask. Sirius, Arthur and Lupin were standing in the hallway. Sirius was leaning against the wall with his arms folded.

"Why don't you just stay one more day... it's unsafe out there." Lupin commented as Reia and I descended down the stairs.

"I feel like I kind of over stayed my welcome." I replied walking down the hallway towards the front door.

"Nonsense... Sirius tell her!" Arthur said.

I looked back at Sirius. He looked at me briefly and then turned and walked up the stairs.

"We'll be fine." I said as soon as Sirius was out of sight.

"Kate... Reia... please, people are going missing." Lupin pleaded.

"Sorry Professor Lupin." I replied as Reia opened the front door.

We left Lupin and Arthur standing there as I closed the door behind me and Reia.

"So what's the plan?" Reia said as soon as we walked down the street.

"I think I might know a place." I replied grabbing Reia's hand.

"We're not going to Snape's place are we? Because I'm not really cool with that." Reia commented.

I chuckled.

"No, I wouldn't do that to you." I smirked.

"Thank god." Reia replied.

"You got everything?" I asked

"Yep, ready when you are." She said closing her eyes.

Colors flashed before my eyes and then we hit solid ground again. We were in front of a tiny cabin surrounded by trees.

"What a dump!" Reia commented.

"This is where my mom and I lived..." I replied as I nudged her.

"Oh, I mean... what a cute little cozy cabin!" Reia exclaimed.

"Yeah, whatever" I smirked as I walked towards the front of the cabin.

"Where the hell are we anyways?" Reia asked.

"Canada..." I replied opening the door.

"Oh cool, I've never been there" Reia said following me into the cabin.

I dropped my bags beside the door and walked back outside towards the back of the cabin.

"Where are you going?" Reia asked.

"To turn on the generator..." I replied, peaking my head out from the side of the cabin.

"The what?" Reia asked following me.

I stood in front of a machine, flicked the switch and pulled hard on a cord. It didn't quite jump to life. I pulled hard on the cord again and it started.

"What's that for?" Reia asked.

"That's our power supply." I smirked

"Wow! That's so cool!" Reia said kneeling down to get a better look at it.

"Not bad for muggle stuff." I said.

"Come on, I'll show you were our bathroom is." I said walking towards the back of the cabin.

"It's a small cabin Kate, I'm sure I can find the washroom." Reia said as she stood back up.

"It's not in the cabin." I smirked.

"Excuse me?" Reia said following me.

I pointed at a little shack a couple of feet behind the cabin.

"That's the washroom." I replied.

Reia walked up too it and opened the door. She screamed and ran back out.

"No fucking way am I using the washroom in a HOLE!" Reia said crossing her arms.

I laughed.

"It's not that bad" I said walking back towards the cabin.

"Not that bad! There's not running water!" Reia exclaimed.

"Yeah, it's not like we can use magic to make water appear or anything." I said sarcastically.

Reia screamed. I turned back quickly.

"What! What's wrong!" I asked.

"I just saw the hugest bug!" Reia said clinging to my arm.

"Oh god Reia..." I said walking towards the cabin again.

"It was disgusting Kate! It was huge... and black and had these huge antennas!" She said following me back into the cabin.

"Like cockroaches with wings?" I asked.

"Yeah!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah... there are lots of them around here." I smirked

"You better be fucking kidding Kate." Reia said following me back into the cabin.

"Sorry..." I said as I let Chance out of his cat carrier.

"Ew... Kate... please be joking." She said as she stomped her foot.

I looked up at her.

"It's a good thing we're only here for one night eh?" I smirked.

"I'm not leaving the cabin until then." Reia said folding her arms.

"Just wait until you need to use the washroom." I commented as I started packing wood into the fireplace.

Reia flopped down on a chair.

"I need to go now..." Reia whined.

"Go where?" I replied as I pointed my wand at the fire.

The logs caught on fire.

"I need to use the so-called washroom." Reia said covering her face.

I started laughing.
