I quickly sat up in bed

"Severus!" I said to a lightly dimmed room.

I was shaking and cold. Sweat rolled down my face from my forehead. I flopped back down on my pillow, starring at the cabin ceiling. I pulled the blanket off of me and climbed out of bed. There was no point trying to get back to sleep after a nightmare like that... I wrapped myself up in a robe and sat down on the front porch of the cabin.

"I forgot how much I missed it here." I whispered to myself.

I took a big inhale of the fresh forest air. I heard a twig break in the forest to my left. I slowly stood up from the porch. I cast a protection spell on the cabin earlier that day... no one should be able to see it.

Another twig broke in the woods. I withdrew my wand peering into the dark forest. I sighed with relief when I saw a tiny rabbit hop out from the edge of the forest. I turned around and Reia was standing right behind me. I screamed and fell backwards.

"What the hell are you doing!" I exclaimed as I got back on my feet.

"I couldn't sleep, and I heard you out here! What the hell are you doing!" Reia asked.

"I couldn't sleep either, and then I thought I heard something in the forest..." I said looking at the place where the rabbit was.

Reia looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh don't even look at me like that; there was a rabbit just there!" I commented

"A rabbit you say. Was it a zombie rabbit that was going to kill you?" Reia smirked.

"Oh whatever, Ms. I'm afraid of every bug in site." Ijoked back.

"Hey! That is a legitimate fear!" She defended.

I smirked.

"What ever you say." I replied

"Well okay then, riddle me this Kate... what are we suppose to do now? I'm sure we can't head to Hogwarts right now." Reia said as she placed her hand on her hip.

I looked back out at the forest... what were we going to do?

After many card games, Reia and I fell asleep slouched over the table. I woke up in a pool of my own drool. It was dark in the cabin. I quickly sat up in my chair.

"Reia, wake up!" I said as I got up to try and find my watch.

"Huh? What time is it?" Reia asked.

I found my watch and looked at it. It read 8pm.

"Fuck" I muttered.

I looked over a Reia. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that the joker card was stuck on her forehead.

"We're going to be killed." I said.

"Why, how late are we?" She asked.

"Very late..." I said.

After packing up everything, we apperated to Hogsmeade, the closest place we could get to Hogwarts.

"It's a good thing the kids don't start arriving until tomorrow." Reia commented.

"That's not why we're going to be killed." I replied.

"Then... why are we?" She asked.

"We were supposed to be here by 1pm... and with the people going missing and such..." I replied as we dragged out bags threw Hogsmeade.

We didn't say anything until we reached the gates into Hogwarts. A man starting walking towards us from the other side of the gate.

"Well... It was nice knowing you Kate... You've been an amazing friend." Reia muttered. "Likewise." I replied as the man approached the gate.

"What is your business here at Hogwarts?" The man asked.

"We are working here." Reia replied.

"Names..." he requested.

"Kate Black and Reia Mookums." I replied.

He unlocked the gate and let us threw.

"You're late." He said as he escorted us to the castle.

"Yeah, I figured." I replied.

We reached the giant double doors into Hogwarts. A sight I would enjoy more, if I wasn't about to be killed.

"This is where I leave you. I suggest you let Professor Dumbledore know you have arrived." He said.

"Not necessary, he isn't here." Snape said from behind us.

I quickly turned around. He didn't make eye contact with me. He looked pretty pissed off. The man nodded and walked back towards the gate.

"Would you care to explain where you girls have been and why you are so late?" Snape asked angrily.

"Well, you see... we fell asleep because we didn't get a good sleep and..." Reia started to say.

"You know it's not safe out there, Why in the world would you leave the Order's head quarters?" Snape said looking at me.

"I'm pretty sure I got kicked out after what happened" I snapped.

"What?" Snape asked.

"Yeah, it wasn't very pretty." Reia commented.

I looked away from Snape.

"Well, that's still no excuse for being late. You had everyone worried." Snape said.

"We're fine, we're here. Safe and sound." I replied.

"Let me show you two to your room." Snape said dropping the conversation.

He led us threw the castle until we stopped at a door at the end of a corridor.

"You two will be staying in here." Snape said unlocking the door.

The room was beautiful. Two beds on either side of the room, a bathroom off to the side and a couch with two armchairs faced a fireplace.

"I call the left side!" Reia giggled and she threw herself on the bed.

"Kate, can I have a word with you after you have finished unpacking?" Snape asked.

I looked over at Reia. A huge smirk on her face.

"Yeah" I replied.

"I'll be in my room." Snape said.

He left.

"How awesome is this room!" Reia squealed.

"It's amazing!" I smirked

I let Chance out of his carrier.

"This is your new home for a bit buddy." I told him.

He meowed and started sniffing the room.

"Just so you know, I don't want to wake up to find you and Snape going at it." Reia commented.

"Oh come on Reia." I smirked

"Honestly! You go to his room for that kind of stuff!" Reia said throwing her pillow at me.

"What if we kick you out of this room and fuck on your bed." I joked.

"Yeah, fucking try it" Reia giggled.

It didn't take me very long to un-pack. I quickly ran a brush threw my hair and changed my clothes before heading to Snape's room.

"So I shouldn't wait up?" Reia smirked as she leaned against the bathroom door frame.

"I think he's pissed at me... so I should be back fairly early." I replied as I turned off the bathroom light and walked back into our room.

"Okay then, I might be in the shower, I need to get that forest... smoke... smell off of me." She replied stripping off her shirt.

"Can you at least wait to strip until after I leave?" I said looking away.

"Oh right, because you haven't seen me like this before." Reia said as she rolled her eyes.

I sighed.

"I will see you later." I said walking to the door.

"Have fun..." Reia replied with a wink.

I left the room and headed down the familiar path to Snape's room. I softly knocked on the door, unable to escape my inveitable fate any longer. Snape opened his door, the pissed off look still on his face.

"Come in." He said walking away from the open door.

I followed him into his room, shutting the door behind me.

"Sit" He said pointing at the love seat in front of his fireplace.

I obeyed without arguing, I knew I was in trouble.

"Do you know how worried I was?" Snape said.

Here it comes...

"I'm sorry Severus" I mumbled.

"I was about to go out looking for you, where I didn't know. And Sirius kicked out of the house?" He ranted.

"He didn't care if I left." I replied.

"I doubt that." Snape snapped.

"I said I was leaving and he didn't say anything back... in fact he walked away from me." I snapped back.

"Do you understand how dangerous it is out there?" Snape continued.

"We were safe." I replied.

"Anything could have happened!" Snape said raising his voice.

"But it didn't!" I replied back, my voice getting louder as well.

Snape started pacing the floor in front of the fire place.

"What is this really about?" I asked.

He stopped and looked at me.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I mean, I'm here safe... and you're still mad at me." I replied.

Snape sighed and sat down next to me.

"Why didn't you come to my house?" He asked.

"What?" I asked.

"After you got kicked out... why didn't you come to my house? I would have been able to protect you." He replied.

"I had to think about Reia as well." I answered.

"Do you think I wouldn't have let Ms. Mookums stay with us as well?" He asked a bit offended.

"I didn't want to bring my drama to you either." I said.

"Kate, your safety is more important then that." Snape commented.

"I knew somewhere safe... so I went there." I added.

We sat in silence for a few minutes. The only sounds came from the fire place crackling the wood.

"Have you written to Sirius to tell him that you are alright?" Snape asked.

"He wouldn't care." I mumbled.

"I'm sorry" Snape said.

"For what?" I asked.

"I should have handled that situation better, I never meant for you to get hurt by all of this." Snape responded.

I looked down at my hands. It was unfair to blame even a tiny bit of this on Snape. It was my problem with my father, not his.

"Sev, there's no need for you too apologise for anything. You just caught in the middle of a fight between me and my father." I replied.

"The fight was because of me." Snape commented.

"The fight was my father unable to accept the fact that I'm seeing a former classmate of his that is also a former enemy." I responded.

"You're so stubborn." Snape commented.

I smirked.

"I am not." I replied.

"Yes, you are." Snape said as he pushed his lips into mine.

"Does this mean that you're not mad at me anymore?" I asked as he moved his lips to my neck.

"I'm still very mad at you." Snape growled as he continued to kiss my neck.

"What can I do for you to forgive me?" I moaned as he kissed my collar bone.

"I might have something in mind." He smirked as he brought his face back up to mine.

"Anything for you" I whispered as I ran my fingers threw his soft, greasy looking hair.

"Anything?" He asked as he nudged his large nose against mine.

"Yeah." I moaned as I brought my lips closer to his.

"Then take off all your clothes and get into my bed." Snape whispered.

"You're forgetting one." Snape smirked, glancing down at my underwear.

I hooked my thumbs under the straps of my underwear and slowly slide them down as well and kicked them aside. Snape pulled off his robes and started unbuttoning his pants.
