Mr. Darcy walked briskly down the path to Longbourn. He hoped to see his beloved a bit before he had to go back to London to attend to business.

Inside, he could hear a commotion as he saw his Lizzy rushing out the door, her mother yelling for her to come back. He picked up his pace.

"Miss Elizabeth!" he called to her, wishing it was within propriety to call her by her Christian name in the presence of others.

"Mr. Darcy!" she cried, seeming quite surprised.

She stopped, and so did he. He admired the way the exercise made her eyes sparkle and her face flush. Some curls had come out of her simple bun. Their undoing will be the undoing of me, he thought, trying focus on the conversation.

"It appears I am not the only with things on their mind today," she said playfully, patting his arm, "You'd do best to speak before I fear you've lost interest in me."

"I am very sorry, Miss Bennet," he replied, finally floating down from his cloud, "I was just admiring the beauty before me."

Lizzy blushed and continued walking, now holding his arm. They wandered far and wide, until they did not know the time.

A/N: Sorry about the shortness, I just thought it was kind of bad of me to adopt a story and not continue writing it. Will write more next time.
