The Dark forest
Chapter 4

John look up and saw the blade coming right at him, he moves but not fast enough because it still happen to get him just in the arm, hey cry out in pain.
She heard his cry of pain and walked over to the open door and frown when it closed in her face. Oh so you want to play this game do you."
She thought as she open the door and saw a bloody blade hovering over him again. She saw the collector fix to do it again so she raise her gun and fired once more and smile when it dissipated into the air.
Now don't get her wrong but this is starting to suck she thought as she walk down the stairs to stand beside john. Damn he wonder pretty badly.
John watch her as she walked down the stairs and frown she really didn't look good now, as a matter as fact she look like she about to drop which is what she kind of did.
She drops to her knees beside him and looks at the deep wound, she panting and he just knows the girl in pain, she shake her head and get back to her feet ask him " what are you doing down here John."
He look up at her and replied back "well I'm trying to find the boys body, do you have any idea where it might be."
Yeah the things you notice when you're stuck on the spirit plane is, one you still fill pain and two you feel and just know when others are around with that frown on her face she answers "I can feel something in the back yard but that's all I'm getting," she frown more when he look right at her like he could see her. Now she knew he could hear her but not see her and something told her this is bad when she ask him "why do I get the feeling you can see me now?'
He look at her and replied back "maybe because I can see you."
She nodded back to him without anything showing on her face. But in deep thought I'm dying that's why he can see me damn it this needs to end and now. "Fine okay I'll watch your back but this has got to end and soon."
She done playing the good guy now she was a very pissed off hunter, it wants her soul find but it's going to find out it's not the only damn thing in this house with powers and she damn ready to right now.
"Working on it and Katie girl stop getting your ass kick will ya."
She looked back at him and gave him smile, he saw power in her eyes and just know that's spirit not gonna know what it's been hit with.
She head out to the door at the other end of the Garage, the one she knows leads outside into the backyard. He watch as she limps out the door and out of site leaving the door open for him to follow.
He goes out and reach around and pull an EMF so he can find the body, he walks over to the closest tree and it give off a loud squeal and he drop his back on the ground and get out the shovel and starts digging into the ground.
By this time Katie had been leaning onto the other tree saw what he was doing an stood up knowing what's about to happen, she looks around she can feel the air change which told her a battle is about to happen.
As he got closer to the body, Katie felt around with her power, still not see it but can feel it she just couldn't find out where it's at.
His shovel hits something so he stop and get out he salt and his lighter fluid. She waits but doesn't have to wait long when she see there a shadow forming and it's happen to be right about where John happen to be. She pulls out her gun and shoot knowing it would never hit John she fires and watch as it disappear from site again.
She doesn't see it but she feel it and when John is left up and about to hit the same tree. She raise her hand and stop him in midair and set him back and with the other she fires off another round and frowns she almost out of rounds.
John knew what happen when he was left off the ground and saw the tree in site, he also know what happen when he stop from hitting said tree and put back down on the ground where he was standing in the first place, oh so she is tired of getting her ass kick now he thought and continue with what he happen been doing when every happen.
He dump the salt on it that's when it came back and this time doesn't get the chances to stop it because it send her flying and when she hit she still has the gun so she fires again before it get the chance to knock the lighter fluid out of john hands.
With the last of the rounds leaving the gun she smile when it hit its make and it disappear once more. But she not stupid she knows it's coming back so she have to be ready for when that's happens.
She see is and replied back to it "told you I wouldn't stay and that there is no way in hell you're getting his."
While that's happen john has now lit the body on fire and it disappear from site and Katie turn back around to the man she loves as a father and nodded to him when he ask " Katie are you alright.
He frown when the only thing he get from her is a nodded then she gone from site. He pick his pack and goes looking for her and drive back to the room. Park the truck right beside her midnight color car and open the door to see she still on the bed and smile when he see she still alive.
She open her eyes when she feels him come into the room. She smile as he set into the chair still beside the bed and replied to her "Katie you look like hell"
She tries to set up but stop with a little cry of pain and he gives her a look that said he also tells her out loud "Don't move."
Look over at him and nodded letting him know she hadn't plane on it again. He shake his head and tells her "I know this is gonna hurt but got to check you over."
She nodded again and replied "well let's see I have broken ribs don't know how many of those, my ankle hurt like hell. My head hurts, my arm hurts," then she thought about it and look back at him "forget that I think my whole damn body hurts"
He looks over at her with a shake of his head respond to her " yeah well that maybe so but I'm going to check you over anyway to see how bad you are so don't give me lip young lady."
She groans with a frown in too much pain to care responds back "fine"
He shake his head and lefts her shirt up a little so he can see her stomach with a frown he push on it the black and blue bruise, she Gaps yeah he had to fine those didn't he.
"Well girl I think you have four busted ribs I don't think you have a puncher lung yet, but you are going to have to take an easy and rest for a couple days."
She look over at him and thought in her head, yeah like that's gonna happen, either he knew what she is think or he just knew her to damn well because he gave her a look at her replied " do you really thinks that's gonna happen."
He frown at her responded back "yeah I know you are because I'm gonna make sure of it, I mean it girl rest."
She nodded her head and replied as she closed her eyes "Fine but late we're gonna have to go back for my stuff."
He smile at her and replied back "already done girl now go to sleep." That just what she did.
End of flash back and back to the present
Sam still chanting the rite when she come back to the waking world, with a groan she open her eyes to see Dean watching her. They both hear the words Kelly saying to the spirit and hear Sam chanting as loud as he can. Dean shake his head at the younger girl and said "hey Katie how are you doing, is your breathing better."
She can feel the spirit and frown its not happy now. But she can't do anything not even with her power, not in front of everybody so he respond back " I feel like I smack into a tree a couple of time and no it hurts to breath so I take it we not winning just yet.
He looks over to the two getting there ass kick by the spirit, damn Kelly must have said something that really made it mad because she went flying backwards not as far as before and it just happen to knock his brother off his feet. He see them get back up and replied "nope where not there just yet and you feel like that because you did hit a tree a couple of times."
She can hear the chanting and her sister talking to it. Damn girl shut up she thinks, her head killing her. She look over just in time to see her sister left in the air and get pin to a tree behind the girl.
Damn it she wants to do something but in front of everybody knows it's a bad thing to do but after see her sister pin to a trees, tries to get up anyway because she knows just because she can't stand doesn't mean she can't help. She had made a promises to two people, one being her mother to always watch out for Kelly the other one happen to be the father of the boys in front of her so if she can stop them from getting hurt so gonna do it.
Dean see her try to get up and stop her, but being an older brother should have told him she wouldn't stop but you know Dean. The spirits get to close to Kelly and Katie up on her feet so fast he doesn't know how she did it.
She start chanting a different one that his brother chanting, still can't make head or tails of it but see that its getting the affect she wants when it stop walking over to the younger girl and turn to look at Katie. "So you're still alive, we'll have to change that won't we."
By then everybody has stop with what they are doing. She looks right at it and says "Don't think so. She then starts chanting her chant again. Looks to see Sam has stop and replied to him "keep chanting Sam don't stop, stop worry about me and finish it."
Sam nodded his head and starts up the chanting again. She looks over at the spirit who still has her little sister pin to a tree, with hoping nobody see her she wave her hand and Kelly drop to the forest floor, the spirit look at her as she keep up her chanting. Katie asks her sister "Hey Kel you okay over there."
Kelly can't figure out how she been let go, she looks over to see the spirit and can just tell it wasn't it that let her go. She then turn back around to her sister and see she looking right at it dead in the face and replied back to her older dumb sister. "Yeah I'm but what the hell do you think you're doing, you're hurt."
Katie frowns at her sister, yeah like she didn't already know that, she smile when she hear the spirit cry out in pain because it can't go anywhere she hold it in place with the chant and the one Sam using it hurt it badly. But she is starting to feel the strain on her powers.
It's not Happy, it knows it the older girl keep it where its, it also know she her powers are tiring so it moves his hand and send the girl flying once again.
Katie feel is but is too late to stop it, next thing she knew she in the air and right into Dean again. They both hit the ground, Dean Try to grab her to keep her from getting hurt worse then she is and look down and see her out again
"Damn it Katie wake up don't do this again."
She comes to but try to get up again but this time Dean knows what she going to do and stop her from it so she looks over to Sam and replied " Finish It Sam, Don't stop kick its ass."
Dean shake his head and replied to her "and you don't move"
She starts to say something but in up into a coughing fit so Dean frown and help her set up to ease her coughing and so she can breathe.
She looks over at him and when the fits stop responds to him "I thought you told me not to move."
Dean shake his head and give her a smile but doesn't say anything. She a lot like him when things look back she try to make people see the light again.
He leans back agenst the tree and this time take Katie with him. Katie drifts off to the beating of his heart, he can feel the fever she got and it's a bad one.
Kelly still taunting so Sam can finish it off look over at him and replies "Hey how much more, they don't look good."
He looks down the last part of the rite and frown they still have but the satchels in place yet but that's come up now. "Where about to go to part B here."
She nodded and pull out the little packs her sister had made, and starts to form a Circle around it but it's see what she doing and sends her flying right in to Sam.
He looks down at her and smile with a replied "well I knew your where falling for me Kelly but did it have to hurt,"
The girl shake her head and get up with some help from him, how has already pull himself up and is now standing. "Yeah well you know me and sorry."
He smile and replies "whatever your sister did to it, seem have work it's weaken somehow."
He worry about her because he can't see anybody wounds but sometime it's not what you see that kills ya but push it back in his mind because until there done there nothing that can be done about it so back to the task at hand.
She think about what he said and frowns. She didn't know her sister knew that and how did she end getting free she still doesn't know but she knows for a fact it wasn't that evil bastard that did it. She looks over at said and said " lets Finish this" then she looks over at the evil thing that still can't seem to move and said to it " your gonna pay for that."
She looks over to the two prop up agesnt a tree and see there still alive and seem to be sleeping both of them aren't breathing all that well and she can tell her sister got a fever. So she began to finish what she had been doing when it stop her. She starts drop them again.
Sam see this and frown because the whole time Kelly smiling why he doesn't know.
Katie spell is starting to wear off, he doesn't know how he know this just that he does. If they don't get the last of them in place it can move again. He looks down to the last part of the rite and frowns.
Kelly got one more to go before it come to be a full circle and it moves its hand and she goes flying back. She drops the little pack and Sam see it and goes running over to it and put it in its place. The Spirit scream because not it's really trap just in time to because the spell Katie place on it is gone now.
He looks back and see Kelly slowly getting to her feet, then turn to see his brother is fast a sleep with his chain rest on the top of Katie head. She walk over to him and see him looking at a now every pisses and trap Spirit.
With the circle complete it can't hurt them anymore it is completely trap, they look back to the other two and see. Dean color is almost gone and the only color Katie got is red from the fever.
Sam looks down and starts chanting once more, Kelly see that her sister eyes are open and watching them so she walk over to them to check on them. Sam doesn't need her help anymore its trap and it can't move those bags so it soon well be nothing but dust anyway.
She watch as her sister see this and then closes her eyes once more and fall asleep. See as there not in any danger at the moment.
She reach Dean and knows better to shake the hunter calls out "Dean Wake up."
He hear her and open his eyes, pain hits his head so he close them again and wait for a bit them reopens to see Kelly look at him. He turn to see his brother still chanting and see a now very trap Spirit and said to his brother "Yeah Sammy, kick its ass."
He turn to see the girl stand and bleeding forget about him and asks "Kelly you okay you're bleeding."
She frown reach up to her head and then brings her hand down yep there on her finger tips is blood. She looks back at Dean and replied "must have happen when I hit the tree that last time."
Dean now didn't have a clue on what time that had been ask "so when did that happen."
She look over to him and answer "yeah well you know what happen when you taunt something don't ya." He looks at her and grins know what that statement meant, "yeah well that just mean you been on way to many hunts with me and your sister. You kind of pick up our mouth."
He then looks down at the girl leaning on him and frowns, her breathing got worse and from the heat he can feel so has the fever. Looks up to the girl little sister and said "we got to hurry with and get her some help, she not doing to go."
They can both Hear Sam chanting they also hear the spirit cry out in pain because of the chanting. Dean watch his brother pull something out of his pocket and frown didn't even knew he had that.
Flashback to before they left
After she told them she be right back she runs back into the room. She walk over to the nightstand grabs her book then open one of her the draw and pull out a small jar and grab the same pack next to it and puts some in the little pack and put it in her pocket. Turns off the light and closed the door and see her sister already setting in the back seat listening to her Walkman and it so loud she knows her sister can' hear her so she tap the taller boy on the shoulder. She can tell something bothering him "Hey Sam what's the matter."
she knows he doesn't like the idea of going into the forest with what little they got but like Dean said there no choice because more people would just go in there and not coming back so it kind was there job to stop that from happening.
He look at her and said "we don't know what where getting into here and I don't like it."
She look at him nodded her head "yeah I know but we don't have a choice here."
She smile at him and reach into her pocket and out the small pouch and handed it to him. If there is one person on this earth she would trust with this kind of thing it would be him, "I want you to hold on to this, just in case I get hurt of or something. It goes with something that mark in this book, with it and with what I wrote down it well help banish it to hell."
He look down at it and frown but put it into his pocket, something told him he was gonna need it later so he did what she ask.
She walk over to the car and got in the front set and wait for everybody, Dean then step out of the room with only a bag of M&MS and a cup of coffee and she replied to him when he sat down in the driver seat. "Well it's nice to know same oh same huh."
End of flashback
Sam look down and laugh because down there at the bottom of the page is a note addressed to him, and It would only be for him because he is like the only person able to read this type of writing.
Hey Sam I know you can Read this and that is the reason why I did it. My sister can' read this and Dean well he not that good at it so that would leave you and me and since I'm the one writing it, it kind has to be for you huh, yes before you ask I knew I wasn't gonna be able to finish this and no you don't get to ask why, I gave you that little pouch a little bit ago for a very good reason, it's got an powerful powder in it and with the rite in the book should be enough to send it back to hell. It well take care both the spirit and the demon at the same time and yes there are two of them don't worry they can't hurt you anymore at this point.
Now I mark the part on this page in red that part goes with the pouch and it tell you what to, you must through it as you say the last of the rite okay kido.
He smile and look over to a sleeping Katie and shook his head. She knew damn well he and her are like the only one that know how to read Latin, her sister can't read it and Dean can but not very well. He dump the contents out on to his hand and waited for him to read the last part of the rite
When he through the powder and say the last of the rite, the spirit give its last scream and there a bright light it's that light up the whole forest.
Kelly and him have to cover their eyes because the light so bright its blinding when the light dies down they uncover it and see that light has made it into the forest and Sam replied as he walk over to the tree that has the body under it. "Well it's not so dark anymore is it?"
Kelly smile and starts help him dig up the bones, they find the body salt it and then pour light fluid and burn it. Dean had been a wake the whole time even when they thought he drift off to sleep he hadn't. He so proud of his little brother but theirs now way he gonna let him know that or it would bring about a chick flick moment and Dean Winchester doesn't do Chick Flick moments.
With that done and out of the way, they both walk over to the down pair and look down at them. Dean barely wake and Katie well she was down and out it would seem.
Sam reach down and feels her forehead and frown. "Dean she got one hella of a fever, we got to get you guys to the Hospital."
Dean look at the pair then look at his brother again saying "dude I'm not going to a hospital."
Sam frown and his brother and shake this head. He always says this but this time little brother gonna put his foot down because from where they are stand both of them need to go. "That's it, you can barely keep your eyes open Dean, and you both don't look good and beside Katie need to go."
Dean looks at his brother and frowns. Dean zero and Sammy2, "fine let's get out of this forest I'm tired of looking at it."
Sam nodded his head and said "yeah Dean Kelly gonna have to help you to the car because you can still walk, I'll carry Katie back. "
He pick her up off of him and frowns she doesn't even stir like she normal does, Kelly reach down and help Dean to his feet and be careful wraps his arm around her shoulder to take most of his weight.
They start the track of walking out of the forest, Kelly got her gun out in one hand and Sam somehow has his too. They also somehow got all their gear, Kelly got her and Katie's and Sam is carry his and Deans,
Dean smile when he see his beloved Car up ahead, when Sam see the black Impala he starts digging around in his pockets until he find the keys, he find them and somehow balance Katie as not to drop her and open the car door. Kelly help Dean in the back set and Sam gently places Katie in the back with his brother. Dean lean his head on the back of the set.
Sam set down in the driver seat and starts the car. Kelly looks back at wounded pair in the back she then turn back around to face Sam. "We've got to him them to a hospital, they're not looking good."
He look into the mirror and see his brother still awake and ask "Hey Dean how are you feeling."
Dean raise his head so he can see his brother moppy head, who setting in the driver seat and replied to his brother "Sam I'm fine."
He frown at his big brother words see a road signs and look over at Kelly " Hey Kelly check the map and see how far to the nears Hospital will ya."
She nodded her head and open the club department and look for the map, she smile when she find one and pulls it out and see it 30 minutes away
"Its 30 minutes away."
Sam smile and replied back
"Want to bet I can make it in 25"
He open the car up and she get them there in under 30,
(a/n: okay just like the other time I'm skipping there check in and all that they have been in there for a little while now and aren't' happy about it.)
Dean and Katie are in the same room, he looks over to see her sleeping and decide to watch tv and there happens to be only one thing on and its call Day time tv.
Sam walk in and see his brother awake then looks up at the tv and laughs "dude you're watching Day of our lives again."
He looks over at his brother and frown with a replied "yeah no I'm not watching it just turn to it, so how long before we can leave."
Sam shake his head at his brother, really he knew that was come. "Dude you two just got here, your both not leaving here until your heal."
He look back over to the other bed and then back to his brother and respond back "yeah easier for you to say, you're not the one stuck in this bed now are you."
Kelly pick that time to walk in the room. She holding four cups of coffee for them. Sam and Dean look over at the girl. She handed Sam his and then hand Dead his "Dean the Doctor told me its okay for you two to have coffee, has she woken up yet."
He look over to his best friend little sister and replied back "yeah she woke up a little bit ago did some bitch here and there, call the doctor a name or two when he took some more of her blood then went back to sleep, but I know for a fact she wants coffee so I would wake her up if you don't want to get hurt later when she find out the rest of us had some and she didn't."
Kelly smile and walk over to the bed that held her sleeping sister and shook her gently to wake her. Katie not knowing who it is that woke her up start giving a go to hell look but it change when she see it's her sister and she holding something.
"Please tell me that's for me"
They all laugh in the room and Kelly smile and hand her the cup "yep this is for you, I hear your give the doctors a hard time again."
She look over at her baby sister and knows it's gonna happen, Kelly got that look about her and frowns. She really doesn't want to do this but she stay in one place for far too long, they need to keep moving or that demon gonna find them but she can't very well tell them is but if it's a fight Kelly wants then she gonna get one.
Now when the oldest in the room see what on tv she turn to Dean and said "why are you watching Day of our lives," then she turn back to her sister said in not so nice way. " you want to know why I'm give them crap well here it goes, One I hate hospital, two let me see we've been here for two damn days. I want to go but the doctors of the hell whole keep said no that in a week they I can go. So I told the prick that in four day's time I'm out of here."
Katie waited for it to sink into her sister head that she was leaving in two days and when the look pass over she could already see Sam he got way before Kelly did, she look over to the other bed and saw that Dean look happy about hearing the news.
Kelly jaw drop at what her sister just said there is no way she leaving this room before the doctor said so " if you think for one minute I'm gonna let you leave this room in two days you need to have your head check again, you both where really messed up. If you thank you can both of you are going to have to go through me."
Yep Katie had been right, she sorry that Dean and Sam and to hear one of their fights but she sure they know how they are being that there brothers, but Kelly has to remember one thing, who old and who younger "yeah like that would be hard. Now listen up little sister, we are leaving this room in two day, we well rest for a while but we are not staying here, you don't like, don't care. You do not tell me what to do, got it."
Now if she has to use her powers on her sister so be it, but there not stay here in this town for long then they have to, one the local didn't like them two had to stay moving, Kelly gave Katie a go to hell look and walk out of the room. Sam look over at Katie and replied "you didn't have to do that you know she just worry about the two of you."
She looks over at Dean little brother and smile and sweet smile and Dean knows his brother going to get an ass chewing. "Yeah I know Sam. But she my baby sister not my older sister. She doesn't get to tell me what I can and can't do. And I'll be damn if I let her do it, I have my reason for leaving, like I said you two don't like it don't care but it two day I'm out of here."
Sam could take it and, he could dish it out and Dean got just a little worry there for a minute. These two when they got something in there heads well it's wasn't good for anybody else, now don't get him wrong. These two don't fight that often but when they do it's kind of sucks and it's starting to look like it's gonna suck so he decide to stay out of it better them then him.
Sam look over at the oldest person in the room, and yes she is the oldest. She even older than his brother. She had been 5 for months when her mother was killed. "Oh sorry I forget you listen to dad, with ever the hell she wants you to do but you won't listen to your own sister when she worry for you. The doctor said you where messed, but are you going to listen no you're going to do whatever John Winchester tell you."
Oh now she pissed big time. For one the kid didn't know what the hell he talking about and for two it had nothing to do with John this time. Well kind of but he can't know that.
"Now you listen to Me Samuel Winchester, this has nothing to do with your father, I have my reason and no not tell you, I'm not staying in this room longer than two more days. At the end of the fourth day I am walking out and if you or her don't like it well you both and kiss my ass."
He look over his brother and saw that he wasn't going to say anything look back at Katie give her the same look as her sister and walk out of the door,
Dean knew better than to say anything at this point so went back to watching tv.
Four days later
The four of the setting on the bed playing cards. Dean and Katie where in a heated game of King of the corner. Kelly and Sam where out of the game by now and so where setting on the other bed. By the look over Dean is winning, Katie look over at him and replied "if you don't stop cheating Dean so help me."
He gave her a hurt look and replied with a smile. "I'm not you just suck."
What she did next had the little siblings laughing so hard, they about fell off the bed. She reach over to the other side and Smack Dean upside the head and then holler in pain because of the moment.
Sam look over at Kelly then over to the other bed with the older one where setting and said "well you said we should take a brake so how about it."
Dean look over at Katie and smile with his own replied "yeah you said we could take one with you two so,"
She smile at the two boys and then to her sister who had this look that said please, she shook her head and replied" why the hell not. But by break you mean going after the things that go bump in the night don't ya."
Dean smile and replied "well don't think that counts as a brake but that's works, but first we going to let ourselves heal. And I mean it I still can't move without it hurt and don't you tell me you can."
Katie get up much slower then she normal would as to not make her wound worse and starts for their room when an idea come
"Hey Sam why don't you sleep on my bed with Kelly, I'll share one with Dean and please don't worry, I won't kill him in his sleep I hurt too damn much to move.
She see the other two give her the biggest smile she could ever and knows she made the right decision when it came to those to. She watch as the two left the room and went into the next one. She turn around look over at Dean went to the other bed. She had once upon a time share a bed but there where little and she wasn't about let that again so she went over to Sam bed and lay down and was out after that.
The next morning Katie wake to hear the Impala she turn and see that it's not Dean because she still asleep, she shake her head and get up and head to the bathroom she sucks in a breath when she jars one of her many wounds, open the door close it and turn on the shower, damn forgot my bag, she turn back around and goes for her bags.
Dean awoke to hearing his car but stays in bed when he see Katie getting up. He frown when she hear her suck in a breath and watch her walking in to the bathroom, hear the water come on and she come out again grab her bag and goes right back in and doesn't come out of a little while.
He knows how has taken his car now to find out why, walk over to the door that leads into the girls room. The one with Kelly and Sam at the moment and knocks on the door and waits. Kelly the one that opens the door with a sweet smile and watch as Dean lean on the door frame.
"Good morning Dean, how may I help you."
Dean not in the mood what to find out where his brother is with his car. The last time he drove his car it so happen to be into a house, now he didn't think Sam would do that again but damn it he still worried about his little brother.
"Cut the shit Kelly where did Sam go in my car."
Yep this is most definitely Katie little sister because she give him the same look, Katie would give him when he got her in trouble. Then she turn and smile with a nice sweet replied "he went to get everybody something to eat and pick up a newspaper."
Dean nodded to her and replies back "good talk to you later. I think I'm going to go lay back down and watch some Tv.'
30 minutes later
Sam walks to their room and see Katie and Kelly are on one bed, Katie got her laptop in her lap looking something up what it is he doesn't know. Dean on the other hand is setting on the other bed watching TV. He set the food down on the little table and hand everybody there coffee.
