Scotland, Tea and Moon
Dyce always spiked his tea with whiskey. To him it gave it more flavor. He didn't know why he was craving tea at this time of the night. All he knew was that he wanted tea and whiskey, and he got tea and whiskey. Sitting in the kitchen of his house, drinking the mixed drink late at night with the moon pouring in through the window he wondered what had woke him up. A small black cat leapt onto his windowpane. Its yellow eyes stared in at him from the darkness, seeming to glow. He knew that cat.
He stood and went to the window, opened it and allowed the cat to leap into his arms. The cat nuzzled against him and purred. He stroked his silky fur and sat chuckled.
"Where's your owner, hm?" He asked holding it up. The cat sniffed the air and stared at him blankly. Dyce sighed and held the cat close again, allowing it to purr and nuzzle against him. Why did this cat just show up here without her? He sighed and was about to go back to his whiskey spiked tea when he saw a shadow approaching. The shadow came towards his house, and to his door. The person knocked after a minute. When Dyce answered the door he saw the owner of the black cat in his arms.
"I see you've found Moon," She said motioning to the cat. Dyce nodded. "May I come in?"
"…Sure," Dyce moved out of the doorway to let Alicia inside. She came in and looked around as though she'd never been there before.
"It's been a long time since I've set foot in your house, hasn't it?" She asked, not really expecting an answer, so he didn't give one. Dyce set the cat-Moon-down on the floor and went to the fireplace mantle where a box of cigars sat. He pulled one out and bit off the end, tossing it into the fire before placing the cigar into his mouth. "Here," Alicia whispered holding up two of her fingers, a small flame floating above them. Dyce grinned as he lit his cigar on the flame.
"They were right 'bout ya," He said, smoke curling out of his mouth. Alicia smirked.
"How so?" She asked crossing her arms. He pulled the cigar from his mouth and blew the smoke over her head.
"Witch," He called her. Alicia grinned.
"Sadist," She countered. He chuckled and draped his arms over her slim shoulders.
"Ya love me for it, though," He said resting his forehead against hers. She laughed softly.
"How could I not?"
