Waiting

She waits for the impossible

When the war is over, she does not go to the Great Hall to celebrate.

Instead, she visits the abandoned girls' lavatory.

She walks down into the chamber of her nightmares and lays herself there, on the cold hard surface as she had done six years ago.

She waits. Perhaps Tom will come.

He will not come to her aid. That, he will not.

But perhaps, he will come to see if she is becoming weaker, as he had done six years ago.

She lays on the ground and waits patiently for him.

She waits for herself to forget him.
