Lucky Star Release Day!
Tsukasa stood before the front door of the Izumi Residence. In one hand, she held Kagami's homework. Her other hand was poised to knock on the door. Konata had invited both Kagami and Tsukasa to come over to her house today after school, but Kagami was sick, and it turned out that all Konata wanted was to copy Kagami's homework, as usual. So Tsukasa offered to take Kagami's homework to Konata's house instead (after asking Kagami if it was alright, off course). And so, here she was, about to hand her sister's homework over to Konata, who was undoubtedly playing video games in her room right at this very moment.
Tsukasa knocked three times on the door. Footsteps approached on the other side. The door opened, and there stood Konata's father. "Oh, hey, Tsukasa, are you here to see Konata?"
"Yes," Tsukasa said. "She and I were going to help each other with our homework." That was a lie.
"Where's Kagami?"
"She's sick," Tsukasa replied apologetically. "But her homework's all done, and she said she was fine with me helping Kona-chan without her today. So, here I am!"
"Great! Come on in. You'll find Konata in her room. You might have to flick the light off and on. She's wearing her new headphones at the computer again, and she always has the volume of her games turned up."
And so, Tsukasa went to Konata's room, and, sure enough, when Tsukasa slipped through the half-ajar bedroom door, there Konata sat in her computer chair, her back to Tsukasa, typing away on her keyboard. Her head and those large headphones blocked a majority of what was on the screen of her computer monitor. Tsukasa pinched the light switch and flipped it down and back up.
Konata looked over her shoulder nonchalantly and grinned her usual catlike grin. "Hi, Tsukasa. Good timing. I just got my butt kicked by this game's boss again."
"What game are you playing?"
"Well, today's the official release day for D(_)blo 3. I picked it up at a midnight release, and installed it on my comp last night, started playing, but couldn't beat this first boss. I tried fighting the first boss again this morning, and I still couldn't beat it. Tried it again after I got home from school, and it beat me again. Bl(_)rd really knows how to make these bosses tough."
"Oh, am I intruding?"
"Not really. I'm going to try it again, so wish me luck." Then Konata turned back around and typed something. The visible outer edges of her computer screen changed colors, but Tsukasa couldn't see exactly what was happening. Konata threw her head back. "D'ah, it got me again."
Curious, Tsukasa walked up behind Konata and leaned over her shoulder to see what was on the computer monitor.
Just a little pop-up message at the game's log-in screen that read: Error 3007. Disconnected from the server.
The End
