Chapter Eight
The weekend
The marauders woke up late on Saturday because of the disco strip dance from Friday night. There was a new notice up on the Gryffindor notice board.
Hogsmeade Weekends Dates
15th October
21st November
10th January
"Prongs, there's a Hogsmeade weekend on 15th Oct." Sirius said excitedly
'But Padfoot we are banned from going to Hogsmeade of what we did last night, thanks to Moony." James said
"Ah James did you forget about our secret tunnel to Hogsmeade"
"Oh yeah I totally forgot about that" messing his hair up. They headed out of the common room for breakfast. When they arrived in the hall everyone stared at them.
"Thank you, thank you. We'll be here all year." James and Sirius exclaimed together.
"Potter and black will you follow me." Professor McGonagall said to them.
"Eye eye captain" James and Sirius chorused in perfect harmony.
As James and Sirius followed Professor McGonagall to her office.
"Take a seat"
They both sat down opposite her.
"I'm very disappointed in you two. That display you did last night was very inappropriate for the occasion. I guess neither of you thought about how Harry, Draco, Hermione or Ron felt about what you two did to them."
"No we didn't realise it was going to be that bad Professor."
"You did it in front of the whole school boys."
"We know"
You will have a months worth of detentions and you will also not be attending the first Hogsmeade weekend in October. I would like you two to apologise to the school and especially to Harry, Draco, Hermione and Ron for embarrassing them.
"Yes, Professor."
"Okay then lets head back to the hall."
As the three people left the office to head down to the hall. When they arrived in the hall, Prof. McGonagall went to the teacher table.
James and Sirius went to stand atop of Gryffindor table.
"Excuse me everyone!" James shouted
Every one look at each other wondering what's going to happen this time.
"Sirius and I would like to apologise for what happen last night. A dare got out of hand. You all are wondering who gave us the dare. Well Remus gave me my dare that I do every dare that Sirius does and well Remus dare that Sirius should do a strip tease. Well we got hyper to do more things and well Remus thought what I have done, really it is quiet funny to see Remus banging his head on the wall. We are sorry of that striptease especially to Harry my future son and his two friends" James said
"I also would like to apologise to Draco Malfoy who is my second cousins for embarrassing him last night also." Sirius said
"How can I be related to you" Malfoy asked
"Is your mother Narcissa?" asked Sirius
"Yes she is."
"Well she is my cousin I really don't like her she is nothing but a snob and as I hate my family nothing pureblood family thinks they are better then everyone else." Sirius said angrily back
"Anyway, we are sorry that we did the striptease affront all your innocence minds." James said
"Yeah we are sorry." Sirius said before they hope of the table James and Sirius did a bow to everyone. They took there seats with Remus and Peter who where seating with the trio. They started to shovel the food into there mouths.
"Jees James and Sirius you really do know how to make an entrance." Remus said
"Yep" James and Sirius said together.
"You two eat like pigs. You really need some manners." Remus said while rolling his eyes.
"Sorry that we are hungry." James said
The trio look on especially Harry as he watches his father eat with his friends.
"Thanks for apologising to us front of the whole school." Harry said
"Don't worry about that, and we are really sorry that we did that last night." James said between mouths full of food.
"So guys what are you doing for the rest of the day?" Sirius asked
"So far, nothing." Ron answered
"How about you spend the day with us so that we can spend some time together." James said
"Yeah, sure." The trio said together
"Meet us in the common room at 11:00 okay then." Sirius said
At 11:00 the marauders were sitting by the fire waiting for Harry, Ron and Hermione to arrive.
"Ah here they come now." James said to Sirius
"Hello, mini Marauders." James and Sirius cooed together
"Hey to you too, any way what does marauders mean?" Harry said
James and Sirius nearly fainted that Harry doesn't know about the marauders. "You don't know about the marauders?!?!?!"
"Not everyone knows about the marauders guys." Remus said behind the book he is reading.
"But he is my son, he should know about the marauders." James said flaggasted
"Um guys, what are you talking about?" Harry asked looking confused.
"We called ourself the marauders reason why is well I don't know, Remus Do you know?" James said
"That is for me to know and you to find out." Remus said
"Anyway what do you three would like to do?" asked Sirius
"Do you all have broomsticks?" Harry asked
"Yes, but they are really quite old." James replied
"That's fine we only wanted to have muck around game with you." Harry said
"Ok that's sounds like fun." Replied James
"How about we play a mini game of Quidditch, but you will need another player." James said
"Harry how about you go and find someone to play with us,' Ron said.
'Okay!' Harry said.
Harry went off to find another person, and that was when he found Oliver Wood.
'Hey, Oliver!' he shouted.
'Yes?' said Oliver.
'Well, I was wondering if you wanted to play Quidditch with us?' said Harry.
'Pass the chance to play against your father, who's the best chaser in the last century, and Sirius, one of the best beaters? Of course I'll play with you.'
'Okay then.'
As Harry and Wood headed back to the common room to meet the Marauders, Ron and Hermione so they could head down to the Quidditch pitch together.
Once they were there, they decided who was going tot play which position.
'I'll play chaser,' James said, 'Sirius will play beater and between Remus and Peter have to choose between the either seeker or keeper."
"I will be seeker and Peter can be keeper." Remus said
"Now what positions are you playing?" James asked
"I am playing seeker and Oliver will be playing keeper, Ron and Hermione will have to choose between chaser and beater." Harry Replied
"I'm not playing beater." Hermione said
"Okay, I will play beater." Ron said
"Hey guys what you are doing." Asked Neville
"Well Neville we are going to play a mini game of Quidditch." Harry said
"Hey I will keep the points." Neville stated
"The rules are that it is a best of three games over the next two weekends. That's all any questions?" asked James
They all agree to the rules.
They all mounted their broom, and kicked off from the ground, after the balls where released.
"Hey Neville can you come and throw the quaffle up into the air for a jump ball." James yelled
"Hum ok I will, but I have never done anything like this before." Neville replied
Neville through the Quaffle high as he could. The game began. Harry and Remus flew around the stadium looking for the snitch. Hermione caught the Quaffle but Sirius hit it out of her hand with a bludger. James has the Quaffle he shoots, but wood saves it and through it to Hermione she tries and misses the goal lucky for Peter. James tries again, but wood makes another fantastic save. Hermione shoots and she scores.
"Come on Peter I heard that she's never even flown on a broom since 1st year." James screamed at him.
"So what lets see how you can do, you haven't even got a goal yet so you can't talk." Peter said
James has the quaffle he's flying up the field.
"Aaaah" Harry and James scream together
"Whoa that was close."
"Well James if can't win by scoring you try and knock your only son of his broom." Sirius said laughing
"Are you okay, Harry?" James asked
"Yeah, but I need my broom for the Quidditch Cup for school you do want Gryffindor to win." Harry replied
"Of course we want them to win." James said
"Come James get back to work, Hermione's scored another 2 goals already."
"S, sorry Harry."
"That's Fine"
Every one was getting back to work; James managed to get 3 goals while Wood went to the bathroom. Harry and Remus were still circling the stadium again. Harry saw the snitch down the other end of the pitch annoying Peter. Harry dove towards it at full speed. Remus realised and he started to chase, but he wasn't quick enough because Harry had caught it. Harry team won 180 to 30. Peter was so & angry he flew at high speed straight into Hermione. They were both knocked off their brooms, but Ron caught Hermione before she hit the ground. Peter on the other hand hit the ground from 50 feet up in the air. He hit the ground and didn't move. James and Sirius flew to the ground to see how Peter was.
"Peter can you hear me?" James asked
He didn't answer.
"We'll have to take him to the hospital wing." Peter was thinking 'why did I have to hit her.'
"James what are we going to say to Madame Pomfry?" Sirius asked
"I didn't think about that, we've in so much trouble." James replied "I know let's make Remus tell her."
"Where is Remus anyway?" Sirius asked "Is it a full moon tonight?"
"Yeah I think it is." James said "Well Then I think he will be in the shrieking shack, which means one of us will have to tell her."
James and Sirius carried Peter up to the hospital wing.
"Madame Promfey Peter has knocked himself out."
"How did this happen?"
"He fell off his broom; we think it was about 50 feet."
"Ok, he will have to stay here until he gets better."
"Well we have to go for dinner, we'll come back tomorrow."
They left together chopped their brooms back to Gryffindor tower, and then went down to dinner. After dinner they went outside to morph into their animals, and they went under the womping willow and off through the tunnel to the shrieking shack to meet with Remus. When Padfoot and Prongs arrived in the shrieking shack Remus was waiting for them to come. Once everyone else has gone to sleep and left Hogsmeade. The three of them left the shrieking shack to roam around and look at different things. James saw this poster with a picture of someone who looked very familiar. James made mental note to tell Sirius about the poster.
They arrive back at the shrieking shack at dawn. There was an unexpected guess was there. Padfoot and Prongs had to protect this man from Moony. The man jumped out of bed after he saw the werewolf. He changes immediately into a big black shaggy dog. Sirius thought this is weird I thought that I was the only person who could change into a dog, because I looked it up on the ministry papers.
Then suddenly it hit him that it was me who had changed into that dog, this man is me when I am an adult. So we have met the adult form of Remus and now me I wonder if I will see James or Peter.
It was now morning and Remus changed back into his human form and then James and Sirius changed back. The adult form Sirius changed back.
"Sirius I never thought you would become a criminal." James said
"What I'm a criminal, COOL!!!" Sirius exclaimed
"It's not cool that means you are on the run, Sir"
"Yes" older Sirius said
"But, what did you do" asked James
"I was accused of killing you and Peter."
"Me, I'm dead"
"Yes, sorry your Son Harry never even knew who you were."
"Oh so that explains it all."
"Explains what?"
"Why he was all weird when we turned up."
"Why are you here from the past?"
"Don't you remember that time turner Remus used to have?"
"Yeah"
"We decided to go into the future to see what it would be like."
"Oh that explains, the mental blank I had in our final year."
"So what really happened?"
"Well Voldemort was after you, and Dumbledore decided you should have a secret keeper. Dumbledore was going to be the secret keeper, but James decided to have put me as the secret keeper instead, but I didn't want to be the secret keeper so I talked Peter in becoming the secret keeper. James really wanted Remus to become his secret keeper, but I talked you out of it because we thought you were a death eater. So we got Peter to be the secret keeper. "
"Um sir" James asked
"Please let me finish first then you can ask questions." Older Sirius said
"Right please continue." Remus said
"But would I use peter when he can't keep secrets." James
"James shut it let Mr Black to continue." Remus snapped at James.
"Well peter told Voldermort where you and Lily lived."
"Did I marry Lily in the end?" James asked
"Of course you did, but let me continue. So Voldemort wanted to kill Harry you died to protect him and lily died as well."
"How did we die?" James asked with a confused looked on his faced.
"Well he used the most dread fullest curse non to wizard kind, the only that cannot be stopper once someone tries to used it."
"Is that the Killing Curse non as Advada Kedava?" Remus asked
"Yes, but your son Harry is the only person to survive the curse."
"Wow your son is indestructible." Sirius said to James they both got up did a little dance.
"No actually he wouldn't be"
"STOP! Asking questions, I want to hear the rest of the story"
"Back to where you and lily died. I heard that Peter had told Voldemort where to find you, so I went to look, but I arrived to late, you and Lily were dead and Harry was left to defend himself. But Hagrid arrived and took him, I gave him my flying motorbike so he could take Harry back to Dumbledore."
"I had a flying motorbike"
"Yes"
"COOL!"
"Sirius stops interrupting I want to hear the ending"
"Where was I? Oh yes I let him take Harry. I went to find Peter, I found him and he killed 13 muggles and bit his own finger off and transformed into a rat and ran away into a drain pipe. He left me to go to jail for something that I didn't do. He killed all the muggles and made it as though I killed him, I would never betray my friends. At the moment I am on the run from the ministry."
"So is that why I have a wanted poster all over the place." Sirius stated
"Yes, that would be the reason."
"So why are you here then?" asked James
"I wanted to finish what I started 12 years ago, is that I will kill Peter for betraying my blood brother." Three time travels looked at each other. "I mean I will kill the older Peter that is in his amigius form that he is a pet rat for Ronald Weasley."
"Right we better get back to the school before any one noticed that we are missing, it was nice to meet you Mr Black." James said
"It was good see you all, especially you James." Mr Black said
"Bye" they all said in prefect harmony
