Chapter 12
The fight
The next morning the sun was bight the birds are chipping and the marauders are singing actually no they aren't singing but they are planning something. Remus Lupin was in the shower and well James and Sirius were well planning something as usual. Remus came out of the bathroom, those two are up too something now Remus thought.
"So what are you plotting?" asked Remus
"Nothing" both of then said innocence
"Right" Remus said well rolling his eyes. "Any way are you coming to down to breakfast?"
"Aye, we are coming down." James said
James and Sirius both jump up ready to go down to breakfast and followed Remus down to the Great Hall. When they reach the Great Hall James was laughing at some joke that Sirius said.
"Come on guys hurry up." Remus explained.
"Yes sir." James and Sirius saluted to Remus, Remus just rolled his eyes.
They sat down near the Weasley twins and the trio; they all waved a little hello to then.
"So what do you have today?" asked Hermione
"We have no idea I was thinking skipping school." Sirius said
"Sirius don't leave me in history with Professor Binns, it so boring." James said
"James you could skip classes with me and we could plans so pranks." Sirius said
"Sirius I can't skip class that's one thing I don't do plus I'm Head Boy." James answered
"We are in the future, so you can slack off and have so fun." Sirius retorted
"I have been but need to get serious we have our NEWT"s this year, Sirius." James snapped back
"It's not like we will remember what we have learned." Sirius said back
"Fine skips school and gets a detentions, see if I care." James said angrily
"I don't always get the detention and most of the time it is your fault." Sirius retorted back.
"Well now I'm trying show my son the rights from the wrongs." James said
"Well you dead James!" Sirius said
The whole hall stoped talking look at James and Sirius. The teachers looked worried what is going to happen.
"While least I didn't get send to Azkaban." James shouted at Sirius
"Oh that right your James Potter every thing you do is perfect." Sirius sneered
"Well I didn't join Old Moldy mort." James said
Young Lupin caught on what's happening and started to play along.
"Now guys you don't really mean it do you?" Asked Remus
"Yes!" they both shout at Remus
"You two are best friends you were fine this morning." Remus said
"Well that was then this now." James said
"Now let's talk about this rashly." Remus said
"NO" they both shouted
"You both our making a scene front of the whole school." Remus said trying then to stop at each other.
"I don't bloody care." They shouted at Remus
"Fine" Remus said and sat down
"Black stops copying what I say." James sneered at Sirius
"Me copying you Potter you are the one should stop copying me." Sirius snapped back
From the teachers table, Snape looked happy that Potter and Black that are fighting. Prof. McGonagall has had enough of this angering and walk down toward the two.
"Will you please stop arguing you are making a scene?" Prof. McGonagall said
"Well he started it" they both said pointing at each other
"I don't care who started it you have a detentions tonight at 10:00 at the dungeons." Prof. McGonagall said and she walks back up to the teachers table.
"This is your entire fault Potter." Sirius said quietly
"Yeah right" James snapped back while his eyes
"Both of you are to blame and shut the fuck up." Remus said going back to read his book. The rest of the breakfast went back to normal and every one was cautious around Sirius and James so they won't start fighting.
When finish breakfast the marauders went to History of Magic, as James and Sirius weren't talking to each other Remus and Peter where worried if they talked to one and the other. Percy decided to talk to James as a head boy to head boy and he was forming a plan in his mind.
"Hi, James." Percy said
"Oh hi Percy." James said unsure
"I was wondering if I could talk to you." Percy said
"Sure." James said
"Potter run along with your new friend." Sirius said
"Whatever Black." James said with a wave of a hand
James walked off with Percy but inside he was smirking and thinking they have fallen for the trapped.
"So James you had a fight with Sirius about school work." Percy inquired
"Yes, he never takes anything serious." James said
"May I ask why do you hang around with him then?" Percy asked
"Because… well I actually don't know." James replied back
"Anyway let's talk about something else." Percy said happily
"Okay then." James said
As they walk into class James sat with Remus with Percy joining him.
"You have being the bloody idiot with you." Sirius sneered
"Whatever Black." James snapped back
"Quick it both of you." Remus said
"Fine!" Both of then said
Prof. Binns floats into the class through the black board. "Now class we are going learn about Angelus scourge of Europe."
Percy was excited to learn about Angelus was about to take so notes. James looked towards Sirius glared at as he fall to asleep and then glanced towards Percy, he is such an idiot thought James. James falls asleep as well and does a quick charm to take notes.
RING
Everyone jump from there seats to head of the door for Transfigurations. While walking towards the class the marauders plus Percy.
"Um Sirius I'm sorry what I said this morning, it was wrong and I'm sorry." James said to Sirius.
"James I also should apologises what said this morning as while." Sirius replied back to James.
"Best Friends?" James asked
"Best Friend." Sirius said
"Finally you two have stopped the stupid fight." Remus said
"I know we are idiots sometimes but you gotta love us." James said
"Yey, we all one big family!" Peter said all happy jumping up and down.
All looked at towards Peter with risen eyebrows.
They walked into class at the last minute and sat at back of the class room while Percy was raving mad that James is again friends with Black.
"I see that black and potter have made up." Professor McGonagall said
"Off course we never stay angry at each for very long, Professor." Sirius said sweetly
"Right, Lets get back to work." With claps her hands the lights went out to show a slide show of amigus.
The marauders thought I know these stuff, they started to pass notes back and forth.
James: I'm bored Padfoot
Sirius: Me too, lets pull a prank
Remus: Don't do anything stupid!
James: we won't
Sirius: have we ever done anything stupid?
Remus: So you really want me to answer that.
James: No, anyway what are we going to do.
Remus: We could make all the Slytherins sit upside down on the roof.
Sirius: Also everything they say something it would be backwards.
James: And when they walk they would walk backwards.
Peter: Make then to bump into things.
Sirius: Good idea Peter.
Peter: Why thank you Sirius
James: We will put it in plan to night.
Ring
They all gather there books, ink and quill and head down to lunch with very hungry tummies. James and Sirius had their arm around each in a manly way as they walked down to the Great Hall. When they reached the Great Hall again the whole school looked towards the two with surprised eyes.
"What are you all looking at? We are best friends." James snapped the whole school.
One brave person talked for the Slytherin table, "But you fighting this morning?" asked the boy.
"So, everyone has a fight with their best friends was in their lifetimes." Sirius replied
"The both were shouting at each one is dead and the other is wanted person?" Draco drawls towards them.
"Well James was most voted to be killed by a dark lord or dark creature and Sirius was most voted to be a wanted person in Gryffindor of 1975." Remus said
The whole school looked shock except few people in Gryffindor started to laugh out loud that was including the 3rd, 5th and 7th years. The most of the teacher were shaking their heads with suppressed laughter.
"We are glad you enjoyed the showed, but we are hungry so excuse us well we go and eat so food that is calling for us." Sirius said
They went sit with twins at the Gryffindor table and started to dig into the food like pigs.
"James and Sirius you have made up?" asked Harry
"Of courses, or didn't hear what we said a moment ago. Or you weren't listening what we were saying." James said to his future son.
"Oh the horror!" Sirius said fakely
"Anyway, what you two are planning?" asked Harry
"Nothing!" James and Sirius both replied
After lunch they headed towards Potions with Prof. Snape and let's say they were happy. Again they went to sit at the front of the class with their feets on the table and asleep.
"Mr Black and Mr Potter, would you please take your feet of the table." Asked Prof. Snape
"Right oh Snapey." James and Sirius said
"It's Prof. Snapey to you." Prof. Snape said
The whole class broke out laughing even the Slytherins were laughing.
"ENOUGH!" Shouted Prof. Snape, the whole class went quiet.
"Sorry Prof. Snapey." James and Sirius chorused together.
"OUT NOW!" Snape screamed at James and Sirius
"Yes Sir!" They both said and marched out in a soldier walk.
"Well that was easy." Sirius said
"Yes, way to easy." James agreed "Anyway, lets go an see Snuffles."
"Right" Sirius agreed and headed towards the Whomping willow. Whem Prof. Dumbledore caught them.
"Hello boys, ain't you in supposed to be in Potions?" asked Prof. Dumbledore
"Yes, but we got kick out." James said
"Only because we made a joke." Sirius also added
"boys, please follow me to my office." Prof. Dumbledore said
The two boys followed the Professor to his office very quietly and when they reach the office they were told to sit down in the chair that are been pervaded.
"Now boys it is wrong making fun of Prof. Snape." Said the headmaster
"Only the thing we said was hello Snapey and then he said its Prof. Snapey to you." James said
"Plus the whole class started to laugh out loud." Sirius added.
"Now boys that wasn't very nice, what am I going to do with you two." Said Prof. Dumbledore, with a shake of his head.
"You could give us a pat on the back." James said cheekily
"No, you are going to apologise to Prof. Snape affront of everyone." Prof. Dumbledore said
"But Sir!' James and Sirius wined
"No Buts. Now run along." Said Prof. Dumbledore
They silently walk out of the office and head to the hall for dinner and sat with the normal crowd of people they seat with.
"You know Remus we have to apologise to Snape at front of everyone." James muttered out loud and whole Gryffindor table look at James and Sirius in horror.
"Man we feel sorry for you two." Said one of the Gryffindors
"Please don't do anything stupid and get all of Gryffindor in trouble." Hermione said
"We do anything stupid you got the wrong person." James said sweetly.
"Yeah right." Hermione muttered
"What's was that Hermione?" asked Sirius
"Nothing." Hermione replied
Prof. Dumbledore walk toward James and Sirius and asked them to go and apologise to Prof. Snape.
"Prof. Snape we are sorry that we called you names." James said
"For example Snapey" Sirius said
"Snivellus"
"Servy"
"The Snake Man"
"Slimy Git"
"Bloody Nose Git."
"Vampire"
"So we are sorry that we called you names and that we will not do it during class time." James said
"So, Bye." Sirius said
They walked out of the great hall and headed to their common room. When they left the great hall waited to for five seconds before they all broke out laughing.
