Loving someone isn't easy ,especially when its someone who you think hated you.
I thought I knew what it was to love before, but I haven't ever experienced this dizzy feeling I get when I see him smile, how calm and overjoyed I feel when I hear his voice, and lying next to him-there hasn't ever been a time I have felt this happy .
I love him for his warmth and his cold wit.
Hope there is a time when I can finally say it to him.
Meanwhile the Attero Werewolf potion is ready after Tonks showed up a few weeks back and we finalized the ingredient amounts a couple of days. While Remus has been jailed , he hasn't managed to shift back to his human form. At this point Tonks has managed to get some interest from the ministry for an experimental potion like this one. Of course, I have confidence in my potion making skills but I am worried because Lupin is my friend.
The manuscript that I referred to for this doesn't have the complete information but basically categorizes transformation potions into four different types - the one where no work has ever been done are permanent transformation from human-other or other-human. For the potions to work permanently, they need to be supplemented with charms that can hold the potion in place inside the body without it getting dissipated or expelled. And, it says that the witch who creates it also needs to cast the charm. So, it will be me who casts the spell too. I plan to travel tomorrow with Tonks to the ministry and then come back to Severus.
I saw Severus really enjoy working on this potion with me. I know that cooking involved something similar principles but it's not the same. Severus misses it, I can tell.
October 1st
We stunned Lupin in his wolf form and force fed him the potion. It wasn't an easy task by any means.
Finally, I cast the binding spell. The effect was instantaneous, by that I mean Lupin unfroze and nearly ate our heads. We were lucky that Harry and Ron were outside the gate and saw what was happening in time. The golden boy to the rescue.
I was almost certain that all our assumptions had been wrong and calculations had failed us but we finally saw something today morning. He has calmed down significantly, his eyes seem more human and he appears to understand whatever Tonks has been saying to him because he's responding to it.
I can't wait to tell Severus. I feel so cold without him.
October 5th
Today was a good day, Lupin's spine has straightened. He no longer uses all fours, he's walking around on his legs. His ears have gone back to his usual form and his tail has disappeared. Tonks joked that she'd miss it.
Meanwhile I have caught a bug and can't even tell Severus, don't want anyone to know he's still alive after all his efforts to 'die'. I just feel so tired and breathless. I tried some healing potions but they haven't made much of difference.
October 18th
Lupin has fully recovered.
Meanwhile I am in St Mungo's.They can't figure out what's wrong with me.
Wish he was with me. Even if no one is allowed to see me for fear of exposure. Apparently the muggles have been experimenting with things they should have left alone and the magical world hasn't caught up.
