By the time Trix and the sons made it to the clubhouse it was late, and most of them went home, or crashed in the dorms. Trix stood there a bit awkwardly, but Jax walked up and eased her worry.

"Ariel?" Jax said, causing the brunettes head to snap towards him at the use of her actual name, which Jax almost never used.

"You can crash in my dorm with me if you like." He smirked at his childhood friend, and smiled wider when she nodded. Trix followed Jax into the dorms, and waited on his bed while he showered. She was giving herself a mental pep talk. He's not the same boy he was when you were 18, Ariel. Things are different. She kept repeating that in her head, and she thought she had been doing a good job in convincing herself, till he walked out of the bathroom wearing just a towel. Now, Trix prided herself for her composure, and the fact that you couldn't tell what she was thinking unless she wanted you to know. That was actually the one thing that Jax hated about her. He could never tell what she was thinking. He decided to have a little fun with her, and he leaned against the doorway to the bathroom, watching her get off the bed, and walk towards the bathroom, which Jax was of course, blocking the path to.

"Move it Teller." She said, just smirking at Jax. Jax pretended to think about it.

"No, I don't think I will. Why? Afraid you can't control yourself?" Trix just rolled her eyes at him.

"I've seen better. If you want someone to stroke your ego and drool all over you, I'm sure there is a willing croweater out there. Or maybe, maybe you can even score a sweetbutt!" She said, acting like she was sharing some secret with him. Jax laughed, loving that even after 8 years apart, the banter between them wasn't any different. He moved out of her way and listened as she turned on the shower. Jax could tell you what WAS different between the two of them, though. Jax wanted that woman something fierce and he didn't know what to do about it. Trix was one of his longest friends, and he didn't know how he was supposed to handle her rolling into town sporting a tight little body that make him imagine very bad things that he wanted to do to her. God! He was semi hard just thinking about it! He knew he could walk into the main room of the clubhouse right now, and score some pussy for the night, he just didn't WANT to. And that is a new concept for him. He pulled on his boxers, and dried off. He got into the bed and waited for the beautiful woman to come out of the bathroom. She walked out dressed in one of his wife beaters, without a bra, he noticed, having to hold in his groan of appreciation, and a pair of his boxers. Jax flashed the patented Teller grin at her, and chuckled.

"Lookin' good darlin'." Trix scoffed, and rolled her eyes. She got into bed and turned out the lights. She could practically hear the gears turning in his head, and she thought back to the garage days, as she referred to them. Little did she know, Jax was thinking of the exact same day.

Trix walked into the garage, and was greeted by the sound of a wrestling match going on. Rolling her eyes, knowing exactly who was wrestling, she ignored the two boys she loved more than anything in the world and got right to work. Her mind wandered to the fact that she would have to talk to Gemma about buying yet another bra because her boobs just kept growing! She was getting tired of taping them down, but she didn't want the boys in town eyeing her up like a piece of meat. She heard the scuffle stop, and felt the air shift around her. She didn't even move out from under the hood off the vintage mustang she was working on, and snapped

"Don't even think about it, you two!" she heard the boys groan behind her, and felt her heart skip a beat when Jax laughed and said,

"Damn, eyes in the back of her head!" Ope looked over at his best friend and noticed he was checking out the ass of the female bent over the car in front of them, and hit him on the arm. Jax looked up and shrugged, not even the least bit sorry for staring. He mouthed 'She's got a nice ass!' at Ope, who shook his head and mouthed back 'She will kick your ass!' causing Jax to chuckle. They both looked up when Trix unbent from the car and spun on her heels, and fixed them with her emerald stare, but not before she noticed the prospect cuts they both sported.

"You do realize that I know you two barbarians well enough to know that there is a silent conversation being had right now? If you aren't gonna work, would you please get out and leave me alone?" she snapped. When they just stood there and smiled at her, she threw her hands up in the air, and walked away from them.

"What's up with her today?"Jax said. Ope shrugged.

"We probably should have noticed something was up when she didn't try and get in on the arm wrestling and just went straight to work." Ope supplied, sounding as confused as Jax felt. They both shook their heads and got back to work. In the office, Trix was on the verge of tears at Gemma's desk. The queen bee was trying not to laugh at the poor woman, but it was hard. The teenager looked up and sighed.

"It's not funny Mama Bear! They just keep growing! I can't get them to stop!" Gemma looked at the distraught 17 year old, and sighed.

"Baby, you're 17. They don't stop growing till you hit 21, at least. And it's not the end of the world, I promise. You'll be thankful for them one day." And with that, Gemma got up and walked out of the office. Trix sat there for a minute, her mind wandering and finding itself on the same subject it was always on recently, Jackson Teller. She couldn't help picturing him in her mind in the outfit he was wearing at the garage. White, long sleeve shirt, baggy jeans with his wallet chain hanging out like always, and his white sneaks. That boy was gorgeous and the female population knew it.

"Earth to Trix!" Jax laughed, snapping his fingers in front of her face, and laughing harder when she scoffed and knocked his hand away. He sat there for a minute and just stared at her. Trix could feel his eyes burning into her head.

"Why are you staring at me?" she snapped, turning to face him. Jax looked up at the ceiling, debating on whether or not he should ask her the question that had plagued him since she left. He turned towards her, and sighed.

"Why?" Trix's brow pulled together in confusion, and she sat there for a minute waiting for him to elaborate on the question. When he didn't, she rolled her eyes.

"Why what, Jay?" she said, using the nickname she only used when they were having talks like the one she felt this turning into.

"Why didn't you say good bye to me when you left? I get the leaving part, hell, I would've skipped town too, newly patched or not. But why didn't you say goodbye?" Trix could hear the pain in his voice, and she hated herself for wanting to comfort him. She sighed again. She was doing a lot of that lately.

"I know Opie told you how I used to feel about you, Jay. Tara told me that he told you almost immediately after I left. I didn't say goodbye because I knew that if I did, you'd ask me to stay, and I wouldn't have been able to tell you no. But between losing ma, dad drinking himself into an early grave, and you mackin' on my best friend, I couldn't stay. It hurt too much. My world was coming down around me, and I had to mourn, and listen to Tara tell me how great you were, and how much in love you guys were even though she knew that I was in love with you. I loved you back then, Jay. Watching you with her killed me. But I knew, without a shadow of a doubt that if I didn't get out of this town, even if only for a little while, I would never leave. And I knew that saying goodbye to you would've broken my heart, and I couldn't risk you asking me to stay." Jax laid there, next to this girl who was pouring her heart out to him, and the only 2 things that really stood out in his mind. The fact that every time she had used the word love in reference to him, it had been in the past tense, and the fact that Tara had agreed to go out with him, knowing her best friend was in love with him. He started to say something but Trix shook her head.

"Just go to sleep, Jay. I really don't want to talk anymore." And with that, she rolled over and turned out the lights, leaving Jax to his thoughts.
