Ch.17

"Sasuke? You…you feeling any better…?" I looked up at Naruto, his hair nearly blinding me. Each time I looked at him like this, it was like looking at a ball of sunshine…wow, how stupid. I sound like Deidara…

When I looked to Deidara, he was staring down at his hand. I leaned up a little to get a better look at what exactly was on his hand. There was a ring, on his left ring finger, and I almost laughed. I remembered seeing one similar to that on Itachi's own hand.

"M-Minato?" I couldn't look at the oldest blonde…not yet.

"Yeah, Sasuke?" Minato had gone back to the kitchen, making macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes. That's…weird…

"Wh-where is my Father, and Itachi?" Minato's head popped out from the doorway between the living room and kitchen, and I looked up to his neck, still not ready to fully meet him, though the smile I could see in my peripheral vision showed that he appreciated my effort.

"Actually…They went out for a drive…I'm assuming. I don't know where they went though. And…I called your mother, for you. She-" The phone rang loudly, interrupting the blond man's words. I'm almost glad it did, because I didn't want to hear about Mother. Not now.

"Hello?" Minato walked into the living room, placing plates in front of each of us with heaps of delicious looking macaroni and cheese, and mountain shaped piles of mashed potatoes. I wanted to eat, but I couldn't force myself to move.

"Yes. Who's asking?"

As Minato was returning to the living room, his own plate in hand, he suddenly froze. His whole body tensed u, his hand dropping the plate. His eyes hardened, the blue taking on an almost silver sheen.

"Wh-what?" His voice was barely above a whisper, and he still hadn't moved an inch, aside from his mouth.

"Where?" Suddenly, the man was in action, grabbing his wallet, keys, jacket, and looking at each of us with an expression that clearly screamed that there was an emergency. We each shot up, although I was slow to move. Naruto dragged me quickly, as we ran outside, Minato still on the phone. We climbed into the car, Deidara in the passenger seat, and Naruto and I in the back.

"Okay. It won't even take that l-long." Minato hung up, putting the car into full motion, swinging out of the driveway, and racing down several small, empty streets, taking a shortcut to the main roads.

We pulled up onto a main street that I recognized- it was the one we always drove when returning home.

What I saw, I almost didn't comprehend. I saw a silver car buried into the side of an all-too-familiar black Audi. I shot straight up, Minato pulling off to the side.

Ambulances were just pulling in as well, along with two police was a somewhat recognizable car sitting there, doors opened lready. Had I been in my right mind at the moment, I'd have recognized it as our cousins, Shisui, car. I still couldn't process the situation. I couldn't…didn't want to believe what I was seeing.
Once I looked over, as we were getting out of the car, Minato was racing over, Deidara not but a foot behind. Naruto helped me as we made our way over. I saw my Father, face bloodied from a surely broken nose, trying to unbuckle Itachi, equally as bloody, from the airbag that had shot out to catch him.
I couldn't even make it all the was to the car, before I collapsed. I couldn't see straight anymore, all the reds and blues and blacks, they all blurred together.

Naruto was still beside me, holding me, I could feel him. I couldn't feel any of myself, though. All I could focus on was Naruto's warmth, and the sight of my Father, desperately working with Minato and Deidara, against his own injuries, to get Itachi out of the car. I was just barely aware of the burn in my throat as I screamed continuously. For what, I didn't know. I only knew that the small drops on my jeans and sweatshirt were growing, my tears falling faster.

"Sasuke, wake up! Come on…" I felt a warm hand lightly holding my jaw, shaking my head around.

"Wh…wha.." My throat burned, sore and dry. I couldn't get any words out.

"Sasuke? Hey, look at me." I barely registered Naruto's voice, unusually quiet and soft.

I opened my eyes slowly, squinting and blinking away at the bright light that invaded my senses, effectively blinding me for a moment.

Once I was able to see, I looked around slowly. The first things I saw was Naruto. I was sitting in his lap, sideways, my back against the armrest of the hospital chair, his face just to my left.

"Hey…" I looked around the room we were in, recalling the events of…yesterday? I wasn't sure how long I'd been here.

I mouthed the words 'How long?' To Naruto, who was, surprisingly, great at reading lips.

"It's been two days. You woke up before…do you not remember?" I shook my head, confused now.

"Well…you were hopped up on anesthesia. Tsunade just deemed you healthy enough to check out…even though your still here…" I stared at him, still confused.
'Who's Tsunade?' I was so lost, not quite registering everything yet.

"Oh…you mean you don't remember Granny? She was always feeding us sake when we were little…you know, huge boobs, blonde hair…my Dad takes after her a lot…" It clicked, the old woman's face instantly brought up in my mind.

I nodded, then slouched down, mentally groaning.

'She scares me…' I shuddered at the memory of her looming over Naruto and I when we were little kids, screaming at us for dropping a bottle of her precious sake.

"Heh, yeah… Oh, and she gave you a medication for your throat…you literally screamed until it was raw…"

I jolted upward, suddenly recalling everything that'd happened.

"Itachi…Dad!" I groaned, my eyes watering at the pain the screaming caused in my throat.

I stood up, my legs wobbly, almost giving out underneath me. I looked around again, seeing e were in a small, empty room, only one bed here, with a set of new clothes for me, and Naruto's old clothes next to mine.

I looked back to my own 'clothes'. I was in a simply white and baby blue hospital gown, and a pair of navy blue hospital socks with baby blue rubber dots on the bottom to prevent slipping.

I grabbed my clothes, not caring that all I had was a pair of black jeans and a long sleeve shirt. I quickly pulled them on, ignoring Naruto's protesting hands and comments. I ran out of the room, into a large hallways. I walked down to the nurse's station on the floor, which was only a few rooms away.

"I need" I winced, eyes tearing as my throat seared, "I need Fugaku…and Itachi…Uchiha…" I coughed, blood dribbling onto my throat felt like it was being torn into, but I kept going. "What rooms…" The nurse in front of me jumped on it, immediately, handing me a tissue.

"Oh, room 34B, one floor up. Do you need help?" I shook my head, ready to take off, before a loud, angry voice called my name.

"Sasuke Uchiha, where do you think your going?" I turned slowly, met with a very agitated, hungover Tsunade.

"D-Dad…"I winced, feeling more blood coat my throat.

I almost screamed, as the blonde woman grabbed my jaw, opening my mouth. She stuck a small dropper down my throat, layering on a thick, sweet liquid over my raw, bleeding throat.

"You should've given him the medication before you left, Naruto." Naruto laughed slightly, the sound nervous, and strained. I shook my head again, this time making a run for the elevators.

"Sasuke! Wait!"

I didn't wait, I kept going, rapidly pressing the up arrow button in between a pair of elevators. Naruto caught up to me quickly, wrapping his arms around me, holding my arms against my chest.

"Sasuke, calm down. They're okay. Your brother, your dad, they're okay. Dad and Dei are with them. They wanted you to wait until you were okay to go up there with them."

I just whined slightly, my throat numb now. It was still hard to swallow, though the medication was helping a lot.

As soon as an elevator going up opened, I bolted, Naruto still hanging on to me. I nervously clutched his arm, suddenly finding myself uncomfortable with wearing just jeans and a long sleeve. I didn't have the socks on anymore either, so my feet were bare and cold.

" Calm down." I shook my head furiously, waiting as the shaft slowly rolled upwards, taking almost two minutes before opening up on the next floor.
I ran down the hallway, Naruto in tow, watching the numbers until I got to 34B. I stopped, slowly stepping inside.

"I-Itachi? D-Dad?" I looked at the two beds, not wanting to look at the damaged faces of my brother and father.

"S-Sasuke? " I choked up slightly, trying my hardest not to cry.

Father laid in the bed to my right, Itachi on the bed to my left. Both beds were by the window, the small amount of sunlight cast down on the two, giving them a slightly better color, though they were still an unhealthy, bruised shade of gray. Minato was in the third bed, next to Fathers, sitting up.

Fathers nose was bandaged lightly, his face bruised and cut. Minato was sitting on a bed next to Father, though he looked perfectly fine, if not a little pale.

Itachi's entire face was bruised, it seemed like. Deidara was sitting on the bed, up by the pillows, so Itachi's head could rest in his lap.

I quietly walked to the center of the room, not looking towards either of the men.

"What…happened?" My voice barely slipped through my swollen, numb throat.

So, combined old chapter 17 and 18. I'm going to add in chapters for each persons pov of these events. Minato's, Naruto's, Deidara's, and Itachi and Fugaku's. I'll have two chapters combined, like this one, for each, so they will each be kind of long. Again, same events- car crash, hospital, etc- in different pov's. Hope you guys like!
