"Grandma, where's Grandpa?"

"Grandpa passed a long time ago, sweetie. But rest assure, he didn't passed in vain."

Matt tilted his head. "In vain?"

"Yes. You see, the Abyss is a dangerous place. Us light creatures don't stand a chance against them dark creatures. Hounds being the worst!"

Matt gulped.

"Promise me you won't get involved with them, sweetie."

"I won't, Grandma. I promise."

A dog got into Matt's den during the night. It wasn't big, but its growl was still terrifying. He didn't notice until he came snout-to-snout with it. Screaming, Matt scattered out of the den. Running back in to grab his bag before backing out again.

"Scary dog. Almost gave me a heart attack."

Going invisible again, Matt flew into the sky to survey the area once more for a replicate. He was in luck today when he saw new faces. From what he's gathering, the new faces are 'tourists'. Perfect, he thought as he noticed some of them didn't stay in one area for too long to be recognizable. He flew down onto a coffee shop and peered over the edge to watch a group of friends chatting amongst each other. Too loud, he thought, noticing how people around the group were becoming agitated.

"Come on, Mattie! Speak up!" an even louder voice boomed, startling Matt. Two rows down from the group of friends were, what appeared to the light Devil, a pair of brothers. His ears perked up to hear what 'Mattie' was saying and noticed how soft-spoken he was than the other. Actually, he was very soft-spoken than the people in town. Guess I found my replicate, Matt thought as he flew away from the area.

Back at his old hideout, Matt changed into his new form and put on the clothes Francis prepared for him. The clothes weren't flashy nor fancy, but better than being ragged. Matt noticed that Francis had also bagged him a phone along with the wallet. Checking it he noticed there was a message from Dave.

"'Look for Travis. He's another light Devil like us'. Travis is here?"

Placing the phone in his pocket, Matt walked out from the trees to look for Travis. Unlike Matt, Travis was a lion Devil, like Francis. Of course, he had no idea who Travis was replicating. He could be anywhere! Just as Matt thought that, his phone beeped.

"'Where are you?' Oh! It's from Travis!"

"I swear you youngsters these days don't even think about anything these days! Didn't Francis teach you anything about the Surface?" Travis scolded Matt. The young light Devil scratched his head, chuckling nervously. "Um, yes, sir. He has taught me a lot, actually. It was just hard finding a replicate when everyone knew one another," he explained. Travis sighed.

"That shouldn't matter since there are other places to be. Anyways, you're here so that's good. Had any run ins with the dark creatures yet? There's a lot of 'em here."

Matt looked at him surprised. "I didn't know about them being here. No one noticed me."

"But you smell like you've encountered one, though. Did you not notice? That's the main key to survival, Matt. You should know that."

Matt apologized, but he really didn't notice about the other Devils living amongst the people. Usually they make themselves known to the other Devils. At least, in the Abyss they would. "The Abyss is different from the Surface, Matt. Humans here are easy to manipulate than those damned souls back home. How do you think they get there? The Underworld is the same way," Travis explained.

Changing the subject, the old light Devil filled Matt in on what to do and don't while living on the Surface. It was a lot to take in, but Matt understood what Travis was getting at. The Surface may not be like the Abyss, but it's still as dangerous and everything, and everyone, has to be treated with caution.

"Other than that, welcome to the Surface, friend."

No negativity. Corrections welcomed.

Well, that just leaves the three one-shots left for me to post. Hope y'all enjoy.

Also, since the Orsimer DLC for ESO is coming soon, I'll also be working on my Skyrim stories along with my Fallout ones. Thinking about doing a crossover with Twist and Kevin van Ulrich. Might end up doing that after I finish them, though.
