Chapter 11
Abandoned Part 1
"You ready?"
"As always," she added in with a smile.
"Good, now today we're going to focus on your hand-to-hand combat skills."
"But, I was led to believe that I was already successful in hand-to-hand training." Whenever the entire team was training, Robin would always compliment Starfire and say that she was great. Naturally, this made her happy and feel special. It did come from Robin after all.
"There's always room for improvement Star. Besides, I've taken notice that you've been losing your balance now and then. You need to always be prepared and expect the unexpected." With that, Robin was by her left side in one fluid motion. Caught off guard, he grabbed her left wrist and brought it against his chest, her elbow facing said body part, while his other arm had snaked its way across her neck. Finally, he adjusted his right hip so that it was directly aligned with her left hip. She was trapped.
"Here, I could easily break your elbow without a second thought. But I won't since I could never bring myself to hurt you." Starfire gasped and took note of his husky voice. What was he doing?
Robin broke himself away from Starfire, blushing after realizing what he had said. He cleared his throat and proceeded. "Anyway, you want to surprise your victim by any means necessary." Oh.
"Y-Yes, I understand. Next please." Starfire cursed herself inwardly. She knew better than to stutter around Robin. He could pick up on anything.
"Nope. Now I have to teach you how to do it." He stepped to her side once again, and began the demonstration. "First, you want to be right next to your partner," he motioned to himself and to her, "like so. It doesn't matter what side you are on, as long as it's not on the front of the back; I'll teach you that another time. Anyway, using your opposite hand, you're going to grab your attacker's wrist, the one that's closest to your side." Standing on her left side, he took her left wrist and pulled it across his chest. "Then you use the wrist to bring the entire arm, making sure that it's spread across your chest, with the attacker's elbow facing you. While you do that, you want to simultaneously swing your right or left leg-in this case let's say it's your right-between their legs so it's kind of sandwiched between their feet." He did as he explained. "Alright, we're almost done."
Uncomfortable, and terribly nervous in the position she was in, Starfire nodded. "Now you will bring your right arm across their neck so that the attacker is trapped between your arm and your leg. This will cause the person to be forced to bend back, and practically have no control." Before she was able to confirm that she understood, Robin did what he did before and kept her between his right arm and his right leg. Therefore, she had no choice but to smell his musky scent. Musky? When did she start describing Robin using that?
"And just to make sure that your attacker won't go anywhere, you're going to go as far as you can behind their back." He adjusted himself so that he was nearly directly behind Starfire. His voice turned dangerously low. "Then for the finishing touch," Robin gently pulled her arm back to show how it could pop! against his chest, "just pump it against your chest for the elbow to break." That move caused Starfire to make her chest pump itself, due to the control Robin presently had over her. She was nowhere close to maintaining herself. Should she kiss him?
Before she was able to turn around and do…well, anything, he pulled himself away from her with a smirk spread across his face. "Alright, your turn."
'W-What? What just happened?' Dazed, the only thing Starfire was able to muster was a "Huh?"
"Do what I just did to you, to me. Show me if you've been paying attention." He gestured to himself and smiled.
'Oh, I must keep what remains of my calm composure and act as though what he did, did not affect me. I am here to train, not flirt. Then again…'
"Oh, alright." She was by his side in one swift move, not knowing that the speed of her action forced her hair to slightly hit Robin's face. He smelled strawberries and was going to be engrossed in her scent before she spoke up.
"Step one: be at your attacker's side and grab their wrist that is closest to you." She did what she said and Robin immediately resented wearing his gloves. He always wanted to feel how soft her skin was. Ah, fuck it.
"Hold on Star." Before Starfire could decipher what he was going to do, Robin had taken off his gloves and strewn them off to the side hastily. After that was taken care of, he returned his wrist to its previous position in Starfire's hand. "Alright, you can continue."
Albeit, the Tamaranian was curious as to know why he took off his gloves, but she dismissed her curiosity and instead decided to appreciate the contact she had with him. "Step two: pull said arm across your chest and be sure that the inner part of their elbow is facing outwards." While she did as she said and focused on the moves, Robin had focused on how his arm was mainly on top of her breasts. Wow, they were bigger than he thought.
"Step three: be sure to place your leg that is closest to your attacker in between said person's feet. Then you must position your hips so they are behind your attacker's hips as well." As she did that step, Robin had frozen in place, noticing how he was trapped within the grasp she had him in. Not to mention the fact that she was stronger than any hero/heroine he knew-heck, she could probably take Superman and Wonder Woman in a fight if she wanted to. Not that she would voluntarily of course, no, she was too kind to do that. One of the things he loved about her.
"Step four: bring your other arm across your opponent's neck and push back their body so you will be able to break their elbow. I believe that is all, yes?" Robin didn't answer. His body was pushed back and his manhood was about to peak. 'Shit shit shit shit. Stop it dammit!' was all he could think of at the moment. He prayed that he would be able to contain himself, just enough so he could make it to his room before anyone would notice anything. "Robin?" 'What? Did she say something? Shit. Keep it in your pants and get out before she notices.' With that thought, he broke himself away from her and cleared his throat. "Uh, sorry. Good job and I'll see you later. I have to uh, do something. Bye," was the last thing he said before he grabbed his gloves and began to walk out. Unfortunately for him, Starfire had reached out and took hold of his upper arm.
"Robin, are you the 'okay'?"
He couldn't even look her in the eye. All he could do was eye the door that he was so close to reaching, well, almost reaching. "I'm fine Starfire. Just thought that we could use a break is all." 'Yeah, for the rest of the day for me to control myself.'
"I see. Well I shall see you soon." Her hand remained on his arm for a second longer before letting go and going to the middle of the room to practice. She looked like an abandoned puppy and Robin hated it when Starfire was upset. Knowing that he caused her current emotion, he sighed lightly and made a decision without thinking of the possible consequences.
"Come here Starfire." The said person turned towards him and quickly masked her confused demeanor. She did as told and floated over to him. Was he staying? Judging by how his gloves were back to the side, she guessed he was.
"Yes Robin?" As her feet planted themselves on the floor, Robin pulled her hands towards him and placed them atop his shoulders. "Hold on," was the last thing he said before she felt her back touch and roll against the floor. Next thing she knew, Robin practically sitting on top of her midriff with his legs encasing her. His hands had taken a tight hold of her wrists which were facing palm-side up and his face was so close to hers. Maybe two, three inches away? Who knows really? They stayed there for a while; frozen in place, forcing her to look deep into his masked eyes. Did she see anything? No. But she could have sworn that he was looking at her as intently as she was. Before she could think of what to do, Robin reacted and stood up reaching down to pull Starfire up as well.
"Any idea what I just did?" She shook her head, still lost in the event that just took place. "I just demonstrated another move you can learn. Come on; let me teach you the steps." Making sure that she was on her feet, he moved back towards the middle of the room and motioned for her to follow suit. Once she did, he patted his shoulder and motioned to her hands. "Grab hold of my shoulders and hold on tight." She did so. "Now pay attention to what I'm going to do next." She nodded.
As she was going to tighten her grip a little more, but not so much where it could potentially hurt him, Robin had grasped her elbows and put his left leg on top of her right hip. With his right leg still on the floor, he pushed off and quickly copied his other leg's position. He tucked in his head and had a feeling that Starfire hadn't done so too so he made them jump a little when her body was about to hit the floor. They rolled until her back had made contact with the ground to which he responded by moving his legs so that they would be on either side of her waist. His hands, unbeknownst to him, automatically went to her wrists. The look on Starfire's face was the same from before but the only difference was that her eyes weren't clouded as much as they were. It seemed as though she had an idea what happened. He repeated his question from earlier and she responded with a yes.
"Let's see then. Demonstrate." Starfire nodded and followed Robin back to where they started. He then held onto her shoulders and nodded his head for her to begin.
"Step one: take hold of your opponent's elbows." She did. "Step two: place your foot on top of the other's hip. Then push back and tuck in your head while you roll back and make sure that your foot is duplicating your other," was the last thing Starfire said before she rolled back and landed on top of Robin, "and once you are on top of your opponent, finish the attack." Starfire straightened herself while on his stomach and punched the air that was in front of his face three times while letting out a small battle cry. Once she finished, she wanted to know how she did and asked Robin, forgetting that she was imprisoning him.
"Robin? Were you able to understand what I asked?" He continued to lie there, not moving. "Robin?! Are you feeling ill?" He still didn't move. "Robin! Please answer me!" Fearing the worst, Starfire put two fingers together and pressed it against the bottom of his jaw line and to the left of his throat. She searched for a heartbeat and once she got it, she let out a sigh of relief. However, before she was able to do anything else, something grabbed at the wrist that she used to get the heartbeat, and pulled her towards Robin's body. It didn't take long for her to realize that it was Robin who pulled her towards him. Suddenly, his other hand reached out and grabbed the back of her neck. Within the next second, she felt a pair of lips against hers. Robin was kissing her.
I would like to thank the years of martial arts that I took for providing me these moves. Now if I could put it into words instead of using actions then that would be great.

P.S. Whether or not you think Robin is OOC in this chapter, let's face it; we all know that he has his moments of being straight forward like this. Was it ever depicted in the show? Not really, but we all know this was bound to happen. If you wish, please tell me if there's anything I can improve on. I will openly welcome any suggestions, feedback, or ideas. Would suggestions and ideas be the same thing? I dunno…
