The final chapter of Elliot Jaeger :D Enjoy. Oh, and happy new year X2. I'm goddamn late for this update... but better late then never, perhaps...?

Levi was rather stunned where he was seated on the ground. Elliot was giving the exact same reaction as when Eren would approach. But Eren wasn't... Eren right now, but in his titan form. He was sure Elliot had never once seen his father's alternate form, so how exactly...?

"Da! Da!" Elliot's small hands flailed in the direction of the large figure that stood several yards away from where his mother and he were.

The emerald eyes never once left the two human beings, and it seemed to observe them closely. Eventually, the large form discarded its attention from the disintegrating one, and lumbered over with careful steps.

Eren knelt before the rest of his family and reached a large hand out. It stopped short of the two, but close enough that Elliot could latch his small, tiny hands onto it. The curious baby settled his laughter and started to fiddle with the finger that had a nail twice his size, oblivious to his surrounding now that he had something of interest to play with.

Eren and Levi's eyes met, and the latter let out a contented, relieved sigh. He flopped back a little, thankful that his husband had just saved them both. He let a small smile grace his lips as he watched Elliot gleefully play with Eren's finger, not the least bit fearful of the humongous figure before him.

Eren's titan form pulled back after a good minute or so, chin dropping the the chest when steam erupted from the double-jaw mouth. As the titan took several steps back, the brunette emerged from the nape of his inhuman shell, throwing his head back as he took a deep gasp of much needed air. He freed himself from the muscle and ligaments that binded him to his other form, stripping the connections and severing all control he had of the shell.

Elliot was staring as if in awe, and it was nothing new to Levi, who had merely picked the baby up and settle him in his lap. Levi watched on as Eren leapt from the body, landing with less grace on his feet and knees from the high drop.

"Levi, are you alright?" Eren asked with genuine concern as he approached his family. Elliot started making the similar cooing noises when he was bored.

Levi merely nodded, glancing down at the baby who was trying to grasp leaves from the ground.

"Levi."

"Wha-" Said person was startled when two hands landed on either sides of his face. It was in no way painful - no more aggressive than a gentle pat, but Levi was truly stunned by the move he had never received in his life. But what had shocked him a lot more was an expression on Eren's face that was caught between complete anger and worry.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

With Eren's hands keeping a firm grip on his face, Levi couldn't turn away. In the darkness, Eren's emerald eyes were also mesmerizing, drawing him in like a moth to a flame.

"I didn't want you to worry."

If he could, Eren would be pulling his own hair out by now. "And not telling me wouldn't?"

"If I had told you beforehand, you would have never let join the search for Elliot."

The brunette's jaw was left ajar for a second, before it shut close. On that note, his partner was right. Eren would have used every power he had to prevent Levi from even stepping out of the doors of their home, much less the gates of the walls. He let out a huge sigh, ruffling his hair in mild frustration.

"You would have never known how scared I was when Armin's squad told me. The risks just tripled in fold, and I was on the verge of losing myself," Eren muttered out as he pulled Levi against him. The latter relaxed into the welcoming warmth, rubbing his face against the shoulder and taking in Eren's scent.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't lose Elliot."

Again, Eren let out a sigh, but out of relief this time. His other hand patted Elliot on the head, suddenly jealous that the boy was unaware of the dangerous situation that he had jut bumped into.

"Corporal! Eren!" Several echoed voices called out from several directions, accompanied with the thundering hooves of steeds.

Eren stood up, cupping the sides of his mouth as he yelled out: "We're here!"

Shortly after, several squads had made their appearances with torchfire, lighting up the area from the night gloom. The couple was relieved when they saw that everyone was alright. Even Orie had appeared following the large group of people, but kept his distance when the humans swarmed around his masters in a circle of protection.

"Are you two okay?" Jean asked as he slipped off his mount. "And Elliot?"

"We're fine," Levi answered as he got up to his feet. He cringed when the pain in his foot made itself known. Like any other sprains, the pain doubled only moments after the injury. Eren didn't fail to notice it, and immediately scooped his spouse up, forcing him to settle on his lower arm. Levi started to struggle out of the embarrassing position, but was forced to give in when Eren tossed him a rare do-as-I-say look.

"As long as you're all fine," Armin approached the couple as well, smiling when Elliot was giving him a wave, seeking to be carried. "I can carry him for you," he offered. Levi, who had already placed his trust in the entire Special Operations Squad, let Elliot be carried and watched as the baby started to happily pat Armin's face for fun.

Eren smiled as well, rather hoping that Elliot wouldn't quite remember this scary incident. Though, he doubted the baby was frightened in the first place. Using his free hand he whistled for Orie to come over, and had Levi mount up on his steed.

Finally, the entire squad could retreat back behind walls with a peace of mind knowing that their youngest, unofficial member of the Scouting Legion was back in safe hands.

Levi was banned from all training from a week then on. The corporal was sore about it, but it was a punishment he accepted without qualms. He couldn't even count the number of earful from just about every single Scout Legion member who was less fearful of him. To Eren's ( or everyone, for that matter) surprise, Levi had accepted all the nagging, from not informing that about his second pregnancy, to risking his life.

The very night, settled in the comforts of the dining area, the Scouting Legion continued their dailly routine. Erwin had miraculously made the entire squad dodge some offenses, and the day went on as if nothing every happened.

Of course, until the topic of Elliot came to light.

"I'm guessing Elliot's hypersensitive," Ymir remarked, her eyes never once leaving the centre of attention. The baby was seated in Levi's lap playing with the scarf, oblivious to the world around him. "He's able to sense people... Maybe not just people in general, but I know he's very conscious of where Eren is."

"I've noticed that too. He'd squeal moments before Eren makes his appearance", Armin added.

"He recognised Eren in his titan form," Levi said, albeit too casually especially when it elicited several gasps from the crowd before him. "He had never seen Eren in that form before."

"Hmm... maybe it's an underlying connection?" Hanji hit her hand with the side of her fist. "Don't get too jealous though, Levi. Maybe it's a titan-family thing."

Levi scowled at the hypothesis, and Hanji's personal comment. That was ridiculous. Why would he be...

Elliot piped up all of a sudden, and started to fidget in his mother's lap. He was trying to look behind where the doorway was, and whined a little when it wasn't successful.

"I'm back," a brunette with a key around his neck stepped into the dining hall. He greeted the group with a smile and wiggled his fingers where Elliot was seated.

Okay, Levi was a little jealous afterall.

"What's the occasion?"

"Talking about Elliot. It seems like he has some titan blood in him after all," Reiner explained, short and to the point. He rubbed his chin. "Well, he's the first after all."

"His voice," the corporal said all of a sudden. Everyone's focus switched to Levi with a puzzled gaze. "When we were up against the rogue, Elliot and I got separated for a brief moment. Considering or sizes, I should have been the first target it picks up. But it didn't; instead it was attracted to Elliot's crying."

"That's quite similar to Eren, isn't it? As in, the titans are attracted to human titans for whatever reason it may be... Does that mean Elliot is also a human titan by blood?" Armin questioned out loud.

Everyone at the table fell silent, save the baby whose cooing noises were also barely audible. Gazes flicked between individuals, hoping for a confirmative answer. Of course, none could be given, and they could only return to their rooms with speculations in their minds.

Back in theirs, Eren had put Elliot to bed in his cot. When he returned to Levi's side, the later was seated on the bed by the window, staring out at the moonless sky. Though his face didn't show it, he knew Levi was worried about Elliot. He'd try to comfort his spouse, but he had little idea how to.

"I'm not regretting it," Levi finally broke the silence after a few minutes. "Not for meeting you, or having Elliot."

Eren smiled, his heart warmed. Levi was rarely this expressive, but when he did, the brunette felt like he could do anything. Scooting closer on the bed, he took Levi in his arms. He held the smaller person close, breathing in the scent he had gotten addicted to over the years.

"I'll protect you. All of you, with my life," Eren declared, with a hand of his placed over Levi's abdomen.

"I know," Levi replied, closing his tired eyes. He let his entire weight rest against Eren. He was still recovering from his hurt ankle, and was mentally exhausted with everything that had just happened.
As Levi fell asleep, it was Eren's turn to stare up at the sky. He had a feeling that more trouble would brew, but with the entire Scout Legion behind them, they'd take on the world any day.

I know it ended off a little cliff-hangy, but you could say the reason why the squad is worried is that they're afraid of what may happen to Elliot. In the sense that it's going to be unpredictable, because he's the first to be born with the blood (control, mentality yadda). Don't worry, it's only temporary. Maybe there will be more to come?

I sincerely apologise that I've neglected my fanfics. I've recently just began school again, and there's seriously no time for anything. I hope this chapter shows that I'm still alive and kicking, if not like a cockrach XD Haha.
