I do not own the Artemis fowl series

Third Person POV

N'zall was walking through the calm forest smelling the fresh air. The large demon couldn't care less about his current surroundings, in fact, the calm life filled forest made him agitated for some. He could feel the dark power within him yearning to be used.

As N'zall walked down the path pointed out to him, he was experimenting on his new found power to summon the weapon given to him. The demon much would much prefer a sword and realizing this his magic altered the weapon; turning it into a large vicious black metal sword which then dissipated into a dark mist waiting to be called back by its master.

When N'zall finally made it to the festival ground he could see many demons celebrating the full moon. The full moon festival was alive with every demon that returned from Hybras years ago all celebrating the with traditional demon dances and cuisine. Also in the mix were two elves armed with those blasted magical weapons thought N'zall. There was a large stage in front of the three line not too far from him which is easily accessible and would make a grand entrance.

N'zall POV

I walked around the tree line and found myself stand right behind the stage. I have already prepared my little speech, now no one will stand in my why. I leaped onto the stage which was barely large enough for me to stand on, grabbing the attention of everyone in the area. I could he the murmuring thought the crowd. "Who are you?" asked a demon I recognized as Basset. I couldn't help but to laugh, "Don't tell me that pitiful sponge you call a brain has failed to recognize your formal leader Basset." "A-Ab- Abbot" stuttered that fool.

"You see Basset you could say I have gone through an enlightening experience and now I have come to take my place as king of both demons and humans," as I said this I could feel the magic in my reacting as if it had a mind of its own and knew exactly what I wanted

I saw a flash of dark purple energy in their eyes, which dissipated as fast as it came. Basset step away from the now silent crowd and turned around "All hail king Leon!" Yelled the demon from the top of his lungs and the entire pride of demons followed in a chant celebrating the new king.

The two elves on guard pulled put out their weapons "Step off the stage and put your claws in the air." I simply scowled at them growing angry that they dare challenge me.

I feel the magic in my body start to lash out as if it was growing just as angry as me and a mere second later two bolts of dark purple lightning shot out of my right hand, hitting the two armed elves turning them to ash, blown away by the wind.

The large group of demons cheered and howled until I lift my right hand to quiet them down. When the crowd was silent "In the past we demons have not only allied ourselves with but relied on the rest of the people for aid," I have a moment's pause, "I now understand that it was a foolish mistake to fight the humans when we could have allied ourselves with the humans and wiped out the rest of the pathetic creatures that cower in a hole in the ground, waiting for slaughter" I pause to look at the faces of confusion amongst the crowd.

"Now I know each of you are probably wondering why the change of heart considering we have planned to go to war with the humans for a very long time. Well, you see I have come to realize that humans and demons both have a similar mindset, in fact, humans are beside physical differences more like us than we realize. because of these reasons I see a word shared by demons and humans under my rain, but first we must finish what the humans started and wipe out the fairy people."

The crowd let loose howls of approval before kneeling before me than all of the sudden humans flew out from the treeline behind me landing on the stage with a thud, he quickly turned around looking at me with a face full of fear until his eyes flashed just like the demons in the crowd.

"kneel before me for I am your king" I commanded the human. "Yes my king," said the human as he kneeled before me.

"Rise" I commanded and the human did so if only I had this power when I battled the humans then I would've been ruler of the world ages ago.

I couldn't suppress the grin that crept its way onto my face. I grab the human and lift up until his neck was is just under my chin.

"Now behold as I present to you one of my many gifts!" I yell to the crowd before biting the humans neck, the human yelled out in pain but when I released him he fell to the ground smelling of warp muck and just like an imp he was cocooned a mere second later.
