In the hospital's side room, the nurse with bright pink hair just left a jug of water for the occupant inside. He snorted as he asked many times for pills and something else to drink but his Mother scolded him as if he was ten years old again.
"Honestly, you haven't changed since I last saw you, dear" Rouge implied while taking a sip from the paper cup that was filled with coffee.
Ace rolled onto his side away from her to look out the window and its city view. Ace had always liked gazing out to cities, especially at night time while listening to relaxing music. He didn't know why it just gave him some kind of warm feeling. A feeling of comfort.
"Its only been three months" Ace finally answered. It was true, three months ago his father and mother left to go visit a sick relative in south part of Tokyo. Why they were gone that long, Ace didn't know but he was glad that his Father decided to send his Mother instead to visit him. "Why did you come back suddenly out of the blue for anyway?" Asked Ace, trying his hardest not to make it sound rude. He was glad to see his Mother at the same time.
Rouge cleared her throat as she emptied the cup "A parent would naturally come to their son's aid after hearing that they were in hospital" She spoke in an elegant soothing voice. That was something that everyone knew her for. Her kind soft voice.
"I'm fine, you shouldn't have bothered, now you have to go all the way back South" Ace said, once again trying not to sound rude.
"I do not mind Portgas, to be fair I had to get away from that place for a while anyhow" Ace couldn't help but chuckle. No one has called him that in ages... "Dad giving you trouble?"
"Now Ace, you have to talk to him, its been two years honey…" She rubbed her son's shoulder lovingly. "Please he misses talking to you" The teen still wouldn't face his Mother and instead settled for looking out the window.
He kind of wished that Marco and Thatch were still here but they said they would come back after he and Rouge caught up. That was another reason he wanted see them, Thatch mentioned something about a 'photo' after Marco mentioned Luffy. He didn't like that one bit. Marco could be violent sometimes….sometimes even more that himself.
"Ace?" His Mother called, making him forget about the situation. "Ill talk to him after he becomes a better Father and stop making my life hell…!" He didn't mean to shout. Any time when talking about Roger he just got mad instinctively.
Rouge sighed, trying to roll her son over to face her without success. "He is sorr-"
"For what? The black eye, the broken hand, for...for making it out that it was my fault he lost his job!" Portgas yelled, tears gathering in his eyes. But they were wiped away quickly though. No one would ever see him cry.
The blond woman gulped and pulled back, "Ace you know what he's like when he's drunk…"
"No excuses….he's an asshole"
"I know but he's changed now I promise dear, please talk to him its important-"
"I have more important stuff to do than to talk to that man, now mom I'm tired so could you please…" Rouge nodded and stood up, grabbing her handbag and car keys, "I'll be in town okay? Uhm...I'll visit tomorrow yeah?" She walked over to her son and brushed his coal black hair aside and kissed his forehead. "I'm sorry if I upset you, see you later" Rouge went to leave when Ace called her. "Mom, I love you" The teen didn't see her smile as she left the room.

When Marco and Thatch finally came back into the room, Ace had got up and went to the bathroom which was also inside his private room. It was really handy in his opinion.
"Did you delete it yet?" Thatch asked, taking a seat in the far corner "He will be back soon so you have a chance to now if you didn't" The blond looked him over then got out his phone. Thatch smiled thinking he was going to do it but…
"I'm showing him, yoi. He is already suspicious so...yeah sorry" Marco smiled cheekily.
Thatch's mouth practically dropped. "What! Hes going to kill us!"
"Its just a picture and besides the brats okay right?"
"Yeah….but Ace likes him-"
"After he was hit over the head by him?"
Thatch sighed. "He said he wasn't mad Marco"
Marco scrolled through his pictures and found the one he was looking for. "He could have killed Ace. If he did I would have killed him. But I think we are even now"
Marco could be scary sometimes…
The door opened up revealing Ace. He was dressed in a clean white shirt and black boxers. The same bandage around his head. "I knew it was you guys, I bet people can hear you from down the halls"
Thatch scratched the back of his head nervously, Ace could see it. Marco looked normal as ever. "How did your talk go with your mom?"
Ace walked back over to his bed and sat up eyeing them both. "So, lets talk about Luffy"
"Look Ace before you start we-
"You want to know?" Marco spoke up, breaking Thatch off. "We made you and him even" Ace didn't like that. Even? So did they smash his head in with an ashtray too?
"Is he okay?"
Marco just stood looking down at Ace with a blank expression. "We just roughed him up a little"
"There was no need!" Ace finally yelled. Making Thatch jump out of his skin. "There was no need okay! It was my fault!"
"Hes okay yoi, probably home right now…" Marco seemed to hesitate, he then pulled out his phone and put it up to Aces face.
At once all of the rage he felt on the day Luffy was beaten up by Morgan came rushing right back.
There on the phone was clearly Luffy. Bloody and bruised laying on the ground, probably outside somewhere. Unconscious.
Ace saw red, he wanted to kill Marco and Thatch right there and then. They hurt Luffy.
His Luffy.
"How...how is THAT….roughing someone up" The teen stood up, stalking dangerously towards Marco as he was clearly the man who inflicted more damage. "And what, you keep a picture of it as some kind of sick fucking trophy!?"
The blond took a step back "Hit me if you want yoi" Ace stalked closer and closer, ignoring the dizzy spells he was getting with every step. Thatch however sat trembling in his chair. Ace didn't care, he was involved in this sick game and he was going to get just as much pain as Marco was going to get.
Grabbing the blonds collar he pulled the teen closer to him, he was going to hit him. He was going to destroy these guys.
"Do it…" Marco said. He felt no guilt towards Luffy. That creep put one of his friends in the hospital. He deserved it. So Marco didn't care if Ace kicked the crap out of him. He was glad that Luffy got punished.
But instead of being punched, he was thrown on to the ground by Ace who glared down at him. "Leave, the both of you, before I change my mind" Ace promised. It wasn't worth it. "Just don't go near Luffy again" Marco looked up at his friend before stumbling to his feet. Thatch didn't need to be told twice. He was gone out the door as fast as he could go. Ace walked over to his bed, he just wanted to be alone now. He had something to do.
"Ace….see ya" Marco taunted. He grabbed his phone which was laying on the ground then looked at Ace "I hope you understand this is what I do...you know that" He then left.
The older teen jumped up as soon as he was sure they were gone, pulling on a pair of pants, packing his stuff he ran for the door. He was leaving this place. He needed to find Luffy even if he got into trouble for leaving the hospital without permission but he didn't care.
….XxXxXxX…..
Later That Night. The streets were dark, not even a cat stalked the corners. It was cold. Everything was silent until a car drove silently outside a lonely house. Four occupants occupied the car, the driver and three others in the back seat. They were glad that no one was around, heck they never were, lucky for them…
"Is this his house?" One voice asked from the drivers seat rolling down his window ever so slightly.
"Whatever, just dump him and lets get the hell out of here...I hate staying in one place for too long" The Second, who was in the back seat spoke up sounding rather annoyed.
"Alright, wait there…" The last deep voice finally said. He then opened the car door in one swift move and swooped out, quickly running around to get to the other side. The man opened the car door and grabbed the unconscious boy from under his arms and pulled him out. Carelessly dropping him onto the cold ground before getting back into the red car. "Okay, go go go!" The voice commanded. And with that the car skidded off down the road, turning a corner to get out of sight.
