Author's Note: I apologize for my unacceptable delay for updating, but I went boating (A storm came and it was disastrous), went to a baseball game (A ball broke our back window), and then did fireworks (The finale one tipped and hit someone so we had to get them to a hospital and stuff). It was one bad thing after another. Plus I am just damn lazy.

I want to personally thank AlonzoLovesPie, tricia, ncsupnatfan and deanhaspie for reviews.

I don't have a beta, but I would LOVE one!

I'm the Big Brother Now

Chapter 9: Tammy's Surprise

Date: August 1st

Sam's POV

"You guys are insane!" Kristen yelled at me after Bobby left grumbling something about 'Damn Winchesters'. "Demons? Ghosts? Vampires and werewolves? What the hell?!"

"Kristen, listen to me. I know we sound crazy, but I swear we are telling the truth. How else would you explain what happened to you?"

She began pacing the room. "I had a psychotic break! That's all! This shit isn't real!"

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I felt a small tug at my pant leg. Looking down, I saw Dean with wide eyes. He was clutching his bear. "D-daddy… I's seepy." He punctuated his statement with a yawn.

"Okay, kiddo." I picked him up and stood. "Kristen, I have to go put Dean to bed. Just…stay put." She huffed, but nodded.

"Daddy, is kwisen gonna stay wif us?"

I stopped and turned to Dean. "What makes you think that?"

"I wike her Daddy. She nice to me."

"You know, I actually do have a home, a family, a life to get back to."

I whipped my head around and saw Kristen leaning on the doorframe. "What the hell!? I thought I told you to stay in the living room!"

She shrugged, "Where's the fun in that?"

I dragged a hand down my face. "Okay, okay. Look Kristen, I'm telling you the truth, I promise. Dean, Kristen can't stay. If you want to leave, by all means go ahead. The only thing that I need to worry about is my family. You go worry about yours."

She frowned at me. "I'm sorry if I upset you. I uh, I think I'll go now." Before Kristen left, she smiled and waved at Dean. Then she was gone.

I sat on the couch after Dean finally fell asleep. I noticed something on the little table in front of me. It was Kristen's phone. "Dammit. She probably needs this." I bowed my head, "Listen Cas, I have to go do something, but Dean's already asleep. So I was wondering if you could come and watch him for a few minutes."

"Of course, Sam."

I turned and saw the angel standing behind me. "Thanks."

Kristen's POV

I walked up to my front door while pulling out my keys. The twins are probably in bed by now. I thought distractedly. To keep from waking Eric and Tanner, I slowly closed the door.

"Oh Kristen, don't worry. You won't wake the boys!"

I spun around to face Tammy, the babysitter, with Tanner struggling to get away from her while Eric just hung limp in her arms. The girl's hand was covering Tanner's moths so that he couldn't scream. She held a knife to Eric's neck. "Let them go you bitch!"

She smirked, "Aww, does Kristen want her boys back?" Raising her hand from Tanner, she laughed. "Go to Mommy!"

"Mommy! Tammy is bein' mean to us!" Tanner cried as he bolted into my arms. "She hurt Eric! Why won't he wake up, Mommy!?"

"Tanner," I grabbed his shoulders. "That's not Tammy okay? It just looks like her." The frightened child nodded.

Not Tammy smirked, "Tanner, do you want me to let go of Eric and let him get to you and Mommy?"

"Yes!" Tanner cried with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Please let my brother go!"

"Too bad, so sad!"

Sam's POV

I walked up to the house that I assumed was Kristen's. Suddenly, I heard a scream. "KRISTEN!" I darted up the steps and threw open the door. What I saw wasn't what I was expecting.

Kristen was sobbing while trying to hold back a small boy from another little boy that looked very similar. He looks a lot like Dean I thought dejectedly. The only difference was the knife in one of the kids' stomachs. "Oh my God…"

Another woman who looked about 17 or 18 was laughing at the scene before her. When she looked over at me, I saw the color drain from her face. "What are you doing here!?" she screamed at me.

"Christo," I said, and her eyes turned jet black. Before I could say anything else she opened her mouth and the smoke poured out. It flew past me and went out the door.

Dropping to my knees I grabbed Kristen and hugged her and who I figured was her son. She sobbed into my shoulder while I whispered to her that it would be okay. From behind me I heard a small choking sound. The boy in Kristen's arms lurched for his probable twin.

"E-eric! You-you gonna be fine! Please don't leave me! D-don't l-l-leave me l-like Daddy d-did!"

Eric reached for his brother's hand. "I-I'm sorry, Tan-ny." He coughed, and when he was done, his lips were tinged with blood. "Mommy?" he questioned tiredly.

Kristen rushed over, "Hey, Baby. It's okay! You're fine! We are gonna get a doctor and you will be just fine!"

"Mommy, I 'm sleepy…" He said slowly. "I love you guys, lots…" With that final sentence, Eric closed his eyes and his chest stopped moving.

Kristen choked back a sob. I knew that even though Kristen dealt with dying kids all the time, there was no way she would be able to check for her own son's pulse. So I silently went over and did it for her. Nothing.

Castiel's POV

I had been watching dean sleep for a little under two hours. So far he had only woken up once asking where Sam was. After I told him that he went to Kristen's, Dean asked if I would lay with him.

He told me that he didn't want me to be scared, but I knew that Dean often suffered from nightmares. I agreed. He curled his small frame into me. His little fists were tangled up in my trench coat.

"Cas?" Dean whispered in a timid voice.

"What is it ,Dean?"

He sniffed, "When I was aseeps fow a wong time, I had a scawy dweam."

"It's okay, Dean. It was just a dream."

He pulled back from me, "Is Sammy weally my daddy?"

I stared at Dean with a startled expression on my face. "Of course he is Dean. Why would you ask that?"

"I-in my dweam, I had a mommy and a Daddy, b-but they weren't Sammy."

"Oh Dean," I knew that he had dreamt about Mary and John, but he would be very upset if he knew that we had been lying, so I looked at him at did what I thought was best. "It was just a dream."

H nodded and nuzzled back into my side. "I wove you Cas." With that, his breathing evened out and he was back asleep.

Kristen's POV

I sat numbly on the hood of Sam's car with Tanner in my arms. He wasn't crying, but I knew that it was because he was broken inside. But I couldn't blame him. For I was broken as well.

I barely registered when Sam asked if we wanted to come with us to his hotel. I nodded, and he led me and Tanner to the doors.

As we drove the five minutes to the hotel, Sam kept looking at me and Tanner with concern.

Sam's POV

I quietly opened the door with Kristen and Tanner behind me. Damn, I can't imagine what it's like for Tanner. I would fall apart without Dean, I thought.

"Sam, I know that this is too much to ask," Kristen started, "But would it be alright…if Tanner and I came with you guys?"

"It would be an honor if you came with us," I stated with a grin.
