Hello, this is my first cross over! Constructive criticism are welcome, but no flames please.

England sighed as he looked at the papers on his desk. As the representative of the United Kingdoms he had quite a lot of work to do. However he had a predicament that had been nagging him for a while now which he had not time to solve. Maybe, just maybe I should ask somebody else. He thought as he skimmed through the papers he needed to finish by tomorrow. No, no this isn't a problem I could just throw at someone to solve it for me. He thought grimily.

His certain predicament had something to do with the letter on the corner of his working desk. It was from Albus Dumbledore, requesting some help in protecting young Harry Potter during the summer to ensure that he is safe. It didn't ask anything of the top, just a few requests of having Harry checked upon secretly by the muggle police every few days to see every things all right. If child abuse isn't a problem that is. England thought as he gave up trying to concentrate on his work. I need to do something about this. And quickly too. He resolved as he stood up to get some tea to relax his over worked brain.

The problem consisted of Voldemort and Harry. If Voldemort were to come back, which was very possible, England needed someone who could guide Harry since the skills taught at school may not be enough for the trials to come. As much as England wished to do it himself, his work on the muggle side prevented him into doing this.

Over tea, he contemplated his problem and thought of possible solutions for it. Each idea seemed bizarre and unreasonable to the next, and was he was soon faced to the fact that it was impossible for him to do this alone. He needed help and knew it. Yet because of one, his insecurities because of how complex the problem was, and two, his pride, he was reluctant into asking people or other nations for help.

He needed someone to guide Harry that was free from Dumbledore's ways. As smart and wise as he was, to England he was still but a child and was worried about the decisions he made for Harry. The amount of information given to Harry is obviously not enough for him to not act recklessly as he had in the past two years. Second, he needed someone that could always report back to England and him only. He did not want any kind of information leaking to any side, since he did not wish to get in trouble for meddling too far into the magical world.

Since the end of WW2, the amount of work he had to deal with had skyrocketed and thus he had to cut ties with the magical world believing that they could handle themselves on their own. The ministry of magic probably don't know of his existence, or believe it is a myth since he had been gone for quite a long time now. England meddling may lead to political problems between the muggle and magical worlds which would lead to a rather heavy headache which he did not want.

Sooner or later war would breakout between Voldemort and the wizards and would hurt England, since when the country is damaged, its personification feels the pain as well. That was something England definetely wanted to avoid considering how much pain he had felt during the first wizarding war. Definitely not his definition of fun.

Considering his problem, the person that could help him must be a nation, and a nation whom he can trust. That left only a few options since most nations are busy like himself. There was one person or nation England has thought of that could help him, but was really reluctant towards asking help. I'll probably not hear the end of this. He would probably tell those two as well, and the last thing I need is the blasted frog getting more information to tease me to no end. Especially during meetings. ….But I really have no choice now do I? England sighed drained his tea, and worked up to his office again to get ready for the meeting tomorrow.

The next day, England was at the World conference held in, of all places, France. He was lucky for it to be held so close to his house, and yet disgusted that he had to be there. He wished he were at home, with his books and tea. And there was another reason for him to feel down; he needed to go and ask a certain someone for help which he was still reluctant to do. Sitting down at the round conference table, he glanced at the person next to him. Prussia.

Prussia was talking quite loudly to his brother Germany, while Germany was trying to make him quite while getting ready for his presentation. France, thank god, was at the front of the projector screen helping Japan to get his presentation ready, probably since he was the one hosting this meeting. He would be busy for the rest of the conference, and so would probably overlook England asking Prussia for help. Or so he wished. He wanted the news of him asking Prussia for help well away from people until it inevitably leaks. Especially from the frog. England's pride gnawed at his guts, but he knew he had to ask. Prussia was perfect. He was relatively trustable, had a lot of free time, and knew quite about Magic from his time as the Teutonic Knights.

About an hour later since the meeting started, and when everyone started to get bored, England quickly ripped a small piece of paper from his memo pad and wrote, "Are you free after this?" and quickly passed it to Prussia without looking at him. England returned to writing notes when he saw the paper he gave to Prussia returned to him. It said "Yeah? Why?" After checking he had his attention, England quickly leaned over to Prussia and said, "I need to talk to you. It's quite urgent. Can you meet me at the bar of the hotel?" Prussia seemed to think for a second and replied, "Sure, why not? The one on the 9th floor am I right?" England quickly sighed in relief and said, "Yes, thank you and please don't tell anyone or bring anyone with you." Prussia seemed surprised for a second then snickered and tried to say something, but was quickly interrupted by Germany who shushed the two from talking. I hope he accepts. England thought, while he tried to concentrate on the meeting.

After a few hours, the meeting was finally adjourned. Tired, England slowly got up and gathered his stuff. He left the meeting room and quickly went back to the hotel most Nations were staying at tonight. After changing to a more comfortable and casual attire than his suit, he left his bag and grabbed his wallet and left the room catching the elevator to the 9th floor. He went into the bar and looked around for Prussia. When he caught him drinking at the counter seat, he quickly strode over to him and sat next to him. "Since you're the one who asked me to come here, you're paying right?" Prussia smirked holding his glass up as a mock greeting. "Yes, yes drink what you want," England sighed. He quickly ordered a glass of whiskey. "So," Prussia started, "What did you want the awesome me for? I know I make a great drinking partner, but this is quite weird for you."

"I need to ask you a favor," England said grudgingly. Prussia's eyes bulged out when the words came out of England' mouth. "You, asking me a favor? Kesesesesese the world must be ending!" he said while he laughed hysterically, amused by the whole situation. "What? Do you have love troubles little master?" Prussia smirked as he took a sip from his new glass.

"No!" England snapped, "I'm looking for someone who can teach a certain wizard magic. And fighting skills. God knows he needs it." England peered into the contents of his glass, tilting it to hear the ice clink. Prussia stopped laughing at this point and started to ask seriously, "Who is this boy, how old is he, and why does he need my help?"

England explained what happened to Harry in the past two years and he told him he could probably get a post as the history teacher at Hogwarts to get close to him. "I want no one knowing that you have connections with me there. Especially Dumbledore. I don't want to start any political issues." England sighed out at the end of his explanation. "So will you accept? Hogwarts pays quite a lot for their teachers, and I'll pay to." England started to fidget nervous into whether the other will accept.

Prussia thought for a while, but quickly came into a conclusion. "Sure why not," he said shrugging. I get money, some way to kill free time, get to teach again, and get black mail material against England. He thought smirking internally.

England visibly relaxed, "Thank you," he said smiling. "You do not know how much this means to me."

"No problem, after all I'm awesome as a teacher. Who else would you ask?" Prussia said while laughing. England stood up and said, "Come to my house next week," he said, "We'll talk about the details there. I'm tired, so I'll go back and sleep for today, but if you want to continue drinking you can put it on my tab."

"Danke, but I'll pass for today," Prussia said also standing up. Patting England on the back, he said "I'll see you next week then. Guten Nacht!" briskly leaving the bar. This is going to be an interesting year. Prussia thought while he licked his lips when going back to the room he shared with West.
