A/N: Hello everyone I know I haven't updated this story for a long long time…I have been on writers block…that doesn't normally happen to me so it's very interesting. So let's see what my very writers block can come up with shall we?

Chapter 19 Hiccup's betrayal

I groaned and shook my head. What had happen to my last night? I tried to think back to what had happened to me. I rubbed my neck. Right…my master gave me an injection last night…Why do I serve him again? Wait why do I serve him, and why am I questioning my loyalties? I shook my head. The pure one is no more so why am I acting as he would have? I shook my head once more before punching the wall to my left. I winced. Wait why did that hurt me? That shouldn't have hurt me! What in the name of Loki was going on here? I growled and stormed out of my room heading out of my room. The halls are quite. It must still be dark outside? Okay then let's use this to my advantage…let's see what my master is hiding from me.

I place my hand on the scanner of the lab and it opens. I walk in and sit down on a computer and the log in comes up. I sigh and type in the box.

I chuckled as the computer started up to get to the desktop. That was way too easy, I may not spend to much time in here but Nick has taught me something's. I have to thank him, he's the only one I haven't tried to kill in this gods forsaken place.

I move the mouse over the folder application and a new tab comes up onto the screen. I look through the files under documents and scan through the files until something catches my dragonic eyes. A file named Project Stones of life. I moved my mouse over the file and clicked it. The file opened and there was a document as well as file about me with it. I moved my mouse over the file that said Hiccup analysis. When I clicked it a doctors file opened. I frowned, this wasn't my strong suit when it came down to understanding my notes on the exparamintasions that have been done to me ever since I turned into this form…an abomination…I shook my head violently. No stop thinking like that mind. I snapped to myself. I read through the notes to the best of my abilities. Something caught my eye in said report. I read the entry:

From resent mind analysis subject seams more unstable and more aware of what's going on around him. There is fear of test subject going haywire and becoming too aware. We hope to remedy this by imbedding a microchip into the brain to keep subject under stable control and following orders.

My stomach churned and my eyes wide fear crept down my spine. For the first time since I turned…I was afraid! I quickly went to open another file called Stones of life. Once it opened a new word document came up and I skimmed it until I found something that nearly stopped my heart. The words that I read made me sick.

Once my pet brings me all of the Stones of life I will have no longer need use of him.

I was speechless about what I just read. My master…is playing me for a fool?! I snarled silently and searched feather into this document the more I read the more my loyalties to Drago fell.

Finally I logged off the computer and was about to get up until I felt a gun at the back of my head.

"You know that dragon blaster is extremely unstable you said it yourself didn't you Nick?" I said not having to turn around.

"What do you take me for Hiccup…know how much do you know that you shouldn't?" He asked.

"Enough to know that Drago is just using me as a puppet on strings." I growl.

"You know that we have to put a chip inside your brain to keep you under control." He said.

I grab the weapon from my friends hands. I hold it up pointing it right at him. He puts his hands in front of him obviously nervous.

"C-calm d-down Hiccup….no need to shoot me." He said.

"I'm not planning on killing you Nick I need you alive…I want you to help me." I said.

"Help you? With what and how?" He asked.

"I need you to tell me what's happening to me, I both like the knowledge and want to go home to my family but at the same time I have to be here…seeing that from your notes that I'm mentally unstable. That's why I need you alive." I said.

He raised a brow in interest. "So you want me to help you betray Drago? Is that what your trying to tell me?" He asked.

"Yes and no…" I said rubbing my shoulder.

"I don't think I can do that Hiccup, you know the price of betrayal Hiccup and I'm not ready to die." he said pushing the gun away before pinning me to the ground.

"How!?" I asked.

"Simple, your weaker then you normally are because of your unstable chemistry." Nick said.

I growled before extending my wings throwing him off me. i snarl and a black purple ring surrounds my feet. "Do you really want to die!?" I snarl as I charge my plasma blast. He looks up from the floor blood dripping down his face from a large wound on his temple. Instantly any to all my aggression disappeared and I fell to my knees. I could barely breath my head spun.

"Hiccup?" I heard Nick call.

It seemed like it was coming from the other side of the large lab but I knew he was only inches away from me. "N-Nick...h-help...me..." I whispered the last word before falling into the darkness.

I moaned as I awoke. a cold breeze whipped around me. "where the hell am I? " I muttered aloud.

"Where do you think you are?" Growled a voice.

I emptily took a fighting stance. "Who's there show yourself!"

A black dragon with eyes that shone like the moonstone appeared before me. She had battered scares littering her scales.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am Nightclaw, I am a traitor to my clan and I have been in this dark forest for meany years." She said.

"Dark forest?" I asked.

"This is were thoughts not wanted by the gods from both worlds dragon and Norse alike send traitors for the Twolegs its to hel as for the dragons they send us here." She said darkly before disappearing into the bushes.

"Wait!" I jump into the bushes. I run on four paws, i don't know why I'm a full night fury but I'm not about to stop. I jump out into a clearing. Only to find that I'm all alone.

"No!" I yowl as I paw the ground.

Suddenly I fall into a light.

I gasp and look around and my eyes meet the pure one.

"You-you're dead!" I stammered.

"No I'm not really dead, not unless you want me to be. No I'm only dormant inside the darkness, this is what's become of me, I don't have the ability to wake up, not so long as there is darkness within your soul." The pure one said.

"I-I don't know what my place is, I've become divided." I said.

"I know, go home, they can help you there, you'll be with Astrid, she can help you." He said.

"I can't." I snarl.

"He plans to kill you when you finish your task! You need to take the stones and go home! You've killed enough people." He said.

I sigh. I need time, time to figure out what I want to do."

"You don't have time. It's too late...You have to wake up Hiccup."

"No don't leave!"

"Wake up Hiccup!"

"No! AH!"

I gasp for air as I bolt upright.

"Ah Hiccup calm down I'm helping you like you asked." Nick said.

I lay down again as he types on the computer. "What are you doing?" I ask.

"I've imbedded the chip know I just have to program it to fool Drago, it'll stabilize your powers and all but you have to follow what Drago says but it'll let you have your free mind posses." Nick said.

"Why betray Drago?" I asked.

"Because I know you have family, a life your pure self wishes to return to." Nick explained.

I give him a soft smile. "Thank you nick, this will hopefully give me the chance to know where i belong."

"No problem Hiccup, your all done." He said taking off the wires.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Dawn." Nick said.

"Well let's go eat before someone finds us in here." I said.

Nick nodded and we both left the lab.

At breakfast I ate alone. I closed my eyes to see her face.

I opened my eyes.

Astrid...I'm coming back to you, someday...

A/N: yeah I know some of this doesn't make too much sense but here's how I'm going to explain it. this is in a base of both old Viking times as well as a sort of modern day feel to it. I hope you all enjoyed this.
